My Firefox cannot be used. It's very very slow edit pages, load pages and so on.
I have search and applied several suggestions found in Internet, but so far, no one solves the problem. Firefox uses a lot of memory (600,000) and lots of CPU (100%) and work very slow to load new pages or update pages loading.
I use APP "Memory Fox" but is the same.
Hello VictorTrindade, please, try to reset firefox and see if that can solve the problem...
Please also make sure that firefox is not blocked by your security/firewall somehow software.

After the upgrade to Firefox 7, sites regularly take a very long time to load.
Since the upgrade to Firefox 7, I knew an intermittent problem where, in the attempt to load of a site, the status bar says "Connecting"... "and sits there without charging anything for several minutes. This happens usually after several minutes of normal use. Meanwhile, Firefox cannot connect to any site. He is also unable to check the updates. There is no error message; simply, it displays the icon of the "little wheel" and does not provide any additional comments.
Close the tab where the problem occurred at the outset helps not, but completely close and restart Firefox made. However, the problem usually after several minutes of normal use after a reboot.
No other application is affected. Internet Explorer, MSN Live Messenger, Thunderbird, and other applications of the network continue to operate normally while Firefox cannot load websites.
I don't think that it is a firewall issue. The problem occurs even when all the firewall software - including the built-in Windows - Firewall has been disabled.
In addition, if I let Firefox "spin" for several minutes, the problem suddenly clears up on its own, and the site I asked initially load normally. As with a reboot, when the problem is cleared up in this mode, generally occurs after a few minutes of normal use.

PC became very very slow after installing Microsoft essentials and upgraded to the latest
After I installed and update Microsoft essentials, my pc has become very very slow, Microsoft XP Professional. Please help correct, this will drive me up the WALL higher. Thanx
No AV program is 100% foolproof, but I love MSE, and I run it on my xp system. Having two AV programs running at the same time is the cause of conflict and slow down your computer. You must make a choice on which you prefer and uninstall the other. If you decide to choose MSE, download a free copy of Malwarebytes AV to use as a backup scanner. then run MSE for real-time protection.

Very slow network with 10 Workstation and Windows 8 / 8.1 Windows
Hello
I come to you because I have a problem with the network with 10 Workstation and Windows 8 / 8.1
In fact, if I copy files from or to a virtual machine with my host of Windows 8 by sharing Windows (SMB / CIFS), it is very very slow and unusable.
Example: My host is a Windows 8 x 64 and Windows 8 x 64 host: transfer speed is about 100 or 200 KB/s and often 0 KB/s (transfer seems to be paused).
With a guest Windows 8.1, same problem.
After many tests, I also tried with Windows PE 5 (same kernel as Windows 8.1): same problem, unusable.
But, miracle, if I use "Utility MSI - X OFF" Intel, I reboot and the problem disappears.
There:https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?lang=eng & DwnldID = 18946
Someone in this community, said that it have the same problem and a workaround solution was not to use Intel e1000e but e1000 then: I must admit, it works.
With e1000, speed is around 30 to 60 MB/s and stable.
But, by default, 10 Workstation e1000e value when I create a new VM Windows 8.1, so it's a problem... Do not manually change for each new virtual machine and explain this to my students.
Please, you can reproduce this bug and fix it?
Thank you very much.
New workstation 10.0.2 fixed this bug. Perfect.

Firefox often showed as - errors "error #101, #102' etc and takes several times to load a page despite being a new version."
You can try the following steps in case of problems with web pages:

- Hold down the SHIFT key and click the Reload button
- Press 'Ctrl + F5' or 'Ctrl + Shift + R' (Windows, Linux)
- Press 'Command + shift + R' (Mac)
Clear the cache and delete cookies only from Web sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Firefox/tools > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.
'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:
- Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: "show the Cookies".
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
- Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

The site
https://Fourwinds.com/OCF/login.php
only works with Firefox as browser. The webmaster does not have upgraded and debugging for use with Firefox 4. I'm hoping to find a copy of the version 3.0 - ish to be able to access this web site. Any suggestions?
You can get Firefox 3.6 http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
If it's just for a site, an alternative is to keep Firefox 4 but install the portable version of the earlier version of Firefox on your hard drive. You can get http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable - section version inherited at the bottom of this page contains links to older versions of Firefox.

Firefox 3.6.6 load very slow Web pages Flash
Hello.
Issues all reports with the latest version of Firefox 3.6.6 where it does not load heavy flash use pages well at all. For an example, see www.tsn.ca . It takes 20-30 seconds to fully load the TSN homepage which started occurring after I had updated to the latest version of Firefox, I noticed. I got the latest plug-ins installed Flash, so it wasn't the problem.
I uninstalled Firefox 3.6.6 and find my previous version 3.6.3 Firefox and installed which totally fixed that problem in loading websites in Flash. Must have been something that has changed in the latest version.
Others I know have reported this problem but thought someone should know... If all goes well work the bugs/problems.

Hello mtaie, I checked the model number you provided and HP does not recognize it.
You can download and run the Windows Upgrade Advisor and if your system has problems under Windows 7.
Here is the link for the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.
Because I can't get right with you model number, there is no way to determine what may be going on with your system.

I went to the site of Mircosoft and he gave me an analysis of updated drivers and that being said, I had 9 out-of-date drivers. As I am not very computer would it be a good thing to buy this and update drivers. Would it fold my speed and performance?

I got Firefox as my browser since Version. 3.2. a few weeks ago, he began to reject any page that had Adobe Flash rendering it useless. I guess that my copy of Firefox was bad for trying to replace it. Mozilla/Firefox wouldn't let me. So I got rid of him and tried to download a new copy. All I get is a black tab window, see attachment. I can't add troubleshooting information because I deleted all files in Firefox.
I tried for weeks support assistance. Total zero. This is no way to run a business.
I'm at the end of the roll.

Regarding the download of Firefox will now. After clicking on the download button, I get the black screen. There is no evidence that he even tried to download. I don't even have a partial dmg. Absolutely nothing.
In your screenshot, it seems that Safari tries to display the .dmg file, which, of course, is not useful if you need to save to disk.
I'm not familiar with Safari, but I guess that if you do a right click or Ctrl + click on a download link you have an option to save the file to a location specified on the disc. Please try using this page (scroll down to your preferred language): https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

XP 64 bit VERY slow to access the directories and network drives
We have some Dell Precision workstations of the very high-end with 24 GB of RAM and 4 CPUs to four hearts. When users use workstation on a network drive, it may take up to a minute before the directories appear. The flashlight may appear. This latency is frustrating.
However, in Windows Explorer, it's almost instantaneous.
Users prefer to use the workstation.
Any suggestions? Thank you.

Without very slow thread, z710, win 8 and 8.1
Hello
I get a connection between 1 and 144Mbs on a new IdeaPad Z710 (Intel N7260). Can download webpages 'bursts', but far too slow, for example that of Skype. The router is Netgear R6300.
These are already tried:
- Reinstall the driver: no change.
- Default factory restore (win 8): temporary relief, bad connection after a few days.
- Connect with a USB-wireless (Netgear WNDA3100): no change.
- Wired: OK.
- Boot with Ubuntu 12: can't find wireless
Try following this threadand see if it helps with your speed problem. The Z510 in that thread also uses the Intel 7260N.
