  You will not be able to scan pictures 4 X 6 using ADF because of the thickness of the paper.

  I displays a table on the screen. This table is read only during the initial page load. I want to do only two columns as editable on five in a row when the user clicks a line using adf 12.1.3.

  Is it possible in the adf. If possible how to handle this. Please help on this.

  For example, drop table editable Full and then replace rest inputText (components entry in general) with af:outoutText, everything except those two.

  And use the clickToEdit feature...?

  You can attach multiple files as string separated by commas (paths).

• OfficeJet Pro L7590 AIO - using ADF for scanning Photos stack

  I've seen other posts along this line, but they have not answered my question.  I want to put a stack of photos in the ADF Document (CAD) and have them automatically scanned in separate JPG files.  I have not been able to get this working. Actually, I can't get the scan function to accept any document in the ADF.  I loaded an image in the ADF and click the scan button on the L7590 only whether scan the empty dish without pulling the photo.  I got the same result when I used the HP Solution Center software.   Seems like the L7590 should be able to do this... I just can't figure how to make it work.  I really don't want to load the dish with one or several photos at once.  One of the main reasons I bought the L7590 was to replace an old scanner with flat SCSI HP autonomous because she didn't have a document feeder.

  PS - I know that the ADF works because I made copies of a document multi-page placed in the ADF.

  I solved my problem!  I think it was a pork/configuration installation/CPU issue.   I thought that my call to the HP support line a few days he's solved a unrecoverable Setup error (Error 1335 if you are interested), but given the other problems I saw, I decided to remove all the programs and re-install.  After copying the installer on my drive hard vs installation from the CD, I was able to go beyond the fatal mistake and seemed to all software installs successfully.

  Then, after you fix pork CPU issue the HP solution Center Software ran quickly and I was able to set the parameters of configuration of scanner for the first time.

  This allowed me to enter the help of scanner manual (the manual supplied with the scanner is very rudimentary) and I was able to get the correct configurations.  I then tested with 3 photos in the ADF and it worked - put each photo in its own file.  Woo Hoo!

  Thanks for your help and I hope that this thread will help others - IT IS POSSIBLE to SCAN MULTIPLE PHOTOS INTO SEPARATE FILES VIA THE ADF!

• Want 7640: HP ENVY 7640 2 sided (duplex) using ADF scanning

  I wonder if 7640 envy can do 2-sided (duplex) using the ADF to scan. I am aware that the Officejet software has this ability, but don't know what port the line wanted. It will be the determining factor, if I need to cross an Officejet the 7640.

  What Officejet are you talking about? The 7640 want is unable to scan duplex automatically. Software won't work because it has no equipment to do. You must do this manually after scanning the first side (it will give you instructions to put original right way).

• HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a - vertical line using ADF

  I have a problem with a black vertical line on the right side of scans/copies when I use the ADF. There is no problem if I use the Board.

  There are a number of similar messages here and I tried all the solutions I could find including:

  Cleaining each wheel and sproket I can find (several times)

  Clean the glass (several times)

  Unplug the printer on, several minutes of waiting and reconnection (several times)

  Unplug the unit as described above and by using a different wall outlet with any other equipment on the line

  The pilot of uninstalling and reinstalling

  Update the firmware to the lates version (March 21, 2013)

  None of this works and I get the result below.  The one you have any other ideas?

  When you clean the glass, you did clean the small strip of glass on the left and the thin white on the top lid?  These are the sections of the scanner glass used by the ADF.

  If so, then I have some information for a factory reset in the Officejet Pro 8600.  I will send this information to you in a private message.  Please read Bob_Headrick wire on the printer reset, found here, before you perform these steps.

• HP m1536dnf: m1536dnf-HP will not use ADF when scanning

  Recently, I have re-installed this printer to a new computer. It took a week to finally get the scan works works again, but now it won't use the ADF when scanning - but it can still scan using the background window. The charger works fine when copying, and it acknowledges the documents when it is in the charger.

  I'm under JDeveloper 11.1.1.7 and run a web application through the Weblogic Server integrated. I'm trying to view the logs in the lifecycle phase JSF as they show in the Fusion of the ADF for 11.1.1.7 Developer's Guide (section 31.5).

  

  I see in the developer's Guide that you configure logging for these packages, I did: oracle.adf (Java: more BEAUTIFUL, ODL:TRACE:32), oracle.jbo (Java: CONFIG, ODL:NOTIFICATION:16), oracle.adfinternal (Java: INFO, ODL:NOTIFICATION:16). Is to show log for me messages, but not the life cycle phase JSF:

  I realized my mistake. I had put the internal logging ODL for oracle.adfdtlevel to NOTIFICATION: 16 instead of oracle.adfinternal. Updated the log levels and now I get the phases of the life cycle JSF, and ADF.

  I use Jdeveloper 11.1.2.3.0
  
  We will migrate a JSP/Servlet to ADF application.
  In one of the pages, let us the user select the days where he would like an operation to get.
  Basically, we use the bitwise operations to convert the selected fields from a binary string to an integer, and that integer is stored in the db.
  You can see the idea here
  
  Since we cannot change the table, we find a workaround for the ADF.
  I thought about creating a transitional attribute in the object view that contains the binary string, and in this way the (integer) attribute initial will be calculated by converting binary to decimal in the code.
  Now my problem is how can I get the days selected from the page and store in the chain. What should I use as a component? And how should behave the LOV (which I think will be necessary)?

  Looks like a can be used to select and display the days.
  All you have to do is to read the value of the db and assign it to the value property. Here, you will have to use logic you need to calculate what day to select.
  You can use a converter allowing to calculate the list for the and the integers for the db.

• Jdev 11.1.2.3 on RedHat 5.8 - use ADF Fusion Proj for Master

  Hello:
  I'm in accordance with the practice of creating shared libraries of ADF for model, the Code and the user interface, called CommonModel, CommonCode, CommonUI.
  Developers create subsystem projects that import these Libs ADF. Then several subsystems (such as ADF Libs) are combined into a master application that then creates the EAR file for deployment.
  
  Each of the subsystems are ADF Fusion Web Apps. (a model and viewController projects)
  Shared libraries are Custom apps. (with only a single project)
  
  The Question is what type of application to create for the Master project. The docs seem to indicate a custom project, but I think it's wrong and that I have to use a Web of Fusion ADF application for the master who would model and viewController projects.
  
  So, what type of application must be created for the master? Custom = a project or ADF Fusion app that has 2 projects (model and viewController)?

  Keep in mind that the types of applications are a few models. Models include a set of libraries of different technologies that you can work on your project. However that does not limit you to use other technologies or libraries outside of this scope. Custom type is open to all.

  I'm new to ADF/ADF Mobile. I have a web service - http://www.webservicex.com/globalweather.asmx and I have an application that looks at-http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18941_01/tutorials/BuildingMobileApps/ADFMobileTutorial_1.html. Using the webservice, I'll enter a city name and it will bring me to a new page with the results.
  
  I tried to create a web service by using this url data control - http://www.webservicex.com/globalweather.asmx?WSDL and it gives me the two data control.
  1 GetCitiesByCountry (String)
  2 GetWeather(String,String)
  
  From there, I tried many ways to drag the control from the facet data. All advice/instructions on how to do it? Especially on data links and view the results.

  That only works when you drop in the other 'source' tab or in the pane "structure."
  It does not work in the 'Sample' tab

  The Web service call does not work?
  Not sure why it does not work. Could be many reasons...
