  I am trying to create a colortracker using the myRIO. The system is pan tilt servo with a webcam. The project works well and is able to follow and move with the desired color. However, in order to continue the project, I want to ensure the system with another device for the perception of depth and want to use the host computer for webcam and image processing and the myrio to get signals for the servos. The idea is to connect two webcams directly to the computer usb ports and keep the myRIO connected to everything does time i.e. no wifi. Can anyone guide me as to how I would go about sending signals constantly between the computer host and myRIO?

  I advise to use Variables shared Network-Published or network stream.

  The sbRIO on the robot Starter Kit still usable by itself, even if it is removed from the robot.  You can use it as any other sbRIO-9632.  One thing to keep in mind is that you will need to provide a power supply for the Board once it is removed from the robot.  It requres a 19 to 30 VDC power supply.

  Regarding your question about to dismantle the robot, there is no reason that this will not work if if it is installed correctly.  Do not forget that you would be responsible if yes or no it works once reassembled, because NEITHER does not officially support dismantling the robot.  There is no diagrams or instructions (that I know of) to do this.

In addition, I want to set limits of pan that will display on the indicator, as a colored strip between the start and end limit.   I have a codec C40 connected to a 12 camera X PHD and Garland to a doctorate X 4 camera. (There are only 2 cameras)

  I have problems with the camera on the 4 x camera control and the only way to get it working.

  1. turn power on the Codec.

  2. power on the camera 4 x (when it comes to food upward, I am able to control the Pan/Tilt camera but can't access the OSD menu using the remote control).

  3. restart the Codec. (Once the codec is restarted, I can control the camera 4 x and access the menu OSD C40)

  The problem is now, the codec and the camera are turned off after use. Every time at startup, I have to follow the exact sequence above to regain control. If the camera is to first, it won't work.

  I tested in the laboratory, no such question does seem to.   But I use TC5.1 beta, which has latest firmware of the device.  It might be useful to do an upgrade to TC5.0.1, which also has more recent firmware to the device then TC4.1.2 and check if the issue can still be replicated.

• No zoom control with Lifecam Studio on Win7 64 bit

  When using a lifecam studio on Win7 64-bit zoom / pan & tilt functions are disabled, but works ok on other systems 32-bit, not sure if it's a matter of 64-bit or another factor?

  Equipment you list, it appears as a duplicate of 55-inch profile.  You can replace the C60 with a SX80 and always use PrecisionHDMC 1080 p 12 x camera, however, you will need to customize the installation a little, from the C60 a SX80 cables and the overall configuration/installation will be the same.  You will also need to buy a 10 Touch to control the SX80, like 8 Touch the C60's existing will become incompatible.  Suggest you take a look at the SX80 Installation Guide to get an idea of the connectors and what you have personalization.

  Note that the SX80 installation guide does not mention the PrecisionHDMC 1080 p 12 x camera, but it is supported with limited functionality, below is taken from TC7/CE8 release notes:

  • Using base with Pan Tilt and Zoom functionality is supported.
  • Software update of this device is not supported natively by this codec.
  • Daisy chaining cameras is not supported on SX80.

  Ultimately, customization, you may need to perform, not to mention how the monitors are currently controlled would be affected and may not work with the SX80, it may be interesting to simply replace the entire system with a new endpoint of MX series.

  I am observing "tearing" on monitors * in both versions of the CC of the Organization since the upgrade to CC2014 (whose drivers Nvidia update required on install.)

  You can send the question to Logitech customer support and otherwise reinstall the Logitech software again or reset factory default driver software, as I don't know any more than the problem lies in the web browser itself.

  If all above fails them, try and see if you can get the mouse works propely on other computers running the same version of Mozilla Firefox.

• Remote Controlled Pan cradle for camcorder Vixia HF - R42?

  I own a Vixia HF R42 and want to use a cradle of controlled as the CT - V1 wireless pan.  I want to be driven from my iPhone 6 s.

  1. What prevents the R42 to using the CT - V1, while the R52 is compatible?

  2. are there other solutions of Canon that can be controlled by an iPhone?

  3. does anyone use another solution for pan and tilt?

• Tilt & shift for the video.

  I ve been shooting landscape/houses (video) with a 5DMIII. Using a zoom of L as EF16 - 35mm f/2.8 L II USM to pan turning my camera slowly with my head to tripod/video, sound, some distortion is present in my images. Especially with buildings, using the broader range (16-24 mm) of this lens. You know what I mean. Vertical lines while the camera rolls.

  One of my friends did the same images with the EF24 - 70mm f/2.8 L II USM and the range of 24 mm distortion is also present, while the camera moves.

  Now, if I use a tilt & shift lens as the TS-E24mm f/3.5 L II will be able to correct the perspective first and start doing my panoramic video keeping the perspective correction? Or this function is ok just for photography?

  I guess that the problem is less clear during the filming of landscape remotely and very present shooting houses/towns closer views (here is my real problem). But I need to save the two.

  You can use a lens tilt shift for the filming of a video, pano the same as you would with your zoom.  However, depending on the subject, you might get weird results.  The 'shift' that you would use to correct perspective could change depending on how your topic based on your point of view and distance change.  I can't say for sure without going out and do it, but I guess that if you keep your camera in a spot and turn it (as opposed to moving your camera around the subject), the passage that you use for something like a building will have a similar distortion effect because it is to one side of the lens and moves to another.

  That is right. Given that all the pixels of the image they are never only on one side (give or take the minor tilt due to perspective distortion), there is no reliable way to mathematicalyl rebuild and depth of information. This would require a runway calibrated using reference measures, but the current tracker does not support this, in any case.

  There is no predefined shortcut, but you can add one yourself.

  • Open system preferences > keyboard, then the tab "shortcuts".

  

  • Select "App shortcuts" in the left column and click on ' + '.
  • In the 'Application' menu, select 'Photos.app. Then enter the title of "set Date and Time...» "and a combination of keys.

    
    Pictures now displays the keyboard shortcut that you chose in the picture menu.

• Logitech m100 mouse wheel not working not

  I have a Logitech USB m100 mouse (rudimentary, two buttons and scroll wheel) hooked up to my iMac 12.2 which has worked flawlessly with the latest systems (10, 6 - 10.11). After the transition to macOS Sierra, the scroll wheel now seems to have a threshold speed during which you must roll it before it works. If you move slowly on scroll wheel, for example, a web page to scroll to the bottom of the page, it never scrolls. This does not happen with my Apple wireless mouse.

  I encounter the same problem on my MacBook Pro retina mid-2012.

  In addition, the scroll wheel is completely unusable when you use the calendar app.
