No zoom control with Lifecam Studio on Win7 64 bit

When using a lifecam studio on Win7 64-bit zoom / pan & tilt functions are disabled, but works ok on other systems 32-bit, not sure if it's a matter of 64-bit or another factor?

  • C# 2008 - unregistered control error TestStand2012 ActiveX on Win7 64 bit OS

    Hi all

I hope someone can help with pointing me in the right direction.

I have a c# 2008 TestStand2010 ActiveX control (on the form) application. It is originally created in Windows XP, 32 bit and it works fine.

Now, I try to take the program to another PC with Win7 64 bit and TestStand2012.

I recompiled already successfully the solution with TS2012 on Win7 64 bit OS and I put "Any CPU" configuration manager "x 86". But when I'm debugging or running the program, I always have an exception ' class not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0 x 80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG)).

When I remove the TestStand ActiveX control on the form, the program works very well. So I was wondering, if TestStand2012 is available for 64-bit? I have install TS2012 directly from the CD. Is there another TS 2012 special package for 64-bit? or the CD version is 32-bit and 64-bit?

If nothing wrong with the software, I missed something in the settings of c# language? Any suggestion is appreciated.

Thank you and have a nice day.

    Thank you.

    I already have.

He now works then? This should work if you have set to x 86 platform. There must be a problem with the way you set the platform. Look at the example of c# UI project. It already does. Maybe you do not run the executable right. The exe file is built in a different directory for each default platform.

  • LifeCam Studio works with laptop, not the Office? (Pilot questions)

I have a LifeCam Studio that works with my Acer laptop but does not work with my desktop computer.

Skype and ManyCam on the desktop, suffice to say that the unit is used with another program. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program and the driver manager devices, as well as the uninstall and reinstall the LifeCam software.

In my laptop Device Manager, the camera returns as LifeCam and a composite device, but on the desktop, it only installs under imagery as "webcam."

    Any ideas?

    Hello

If another application has control of the camera it is not available for use by others
programs up to what he was released by the control program. Usually, the camera will
be released when you close a program. Check in the Task Manager and close the program
If shown, or restart. Some messengers has control of the camera, so you would need
to ensure that the program has closed before the unit would be available for use
    in other programs.

See the section "" I see the following error message: the camera is in use by another program "article."

  • I want to record 1080 p with my Lifecam Studio, this software is available?

  • VB6 with DAQmx compatibility with Microsoft Vista and Win7?

    Hello

I'm trying to figure out how what are my options for running my VB6 applications that use the API C of NOR-DAQmx with Vista or Win7.

I have certain applications that we have maintained in VB6 (with Measurement Studio 6).  I programmed the software for traditional OR-DAQ hardware originally.  I suppose that I used for about 10 years or more.  About 2 years ago or if we needed to use our software with hardware recent DaqMX I've been able to use the API C OR-DAQmx for Visual Basic 6.0.  My application really support two hardware platforms simultaneously.  The person responsible for the project wanted to have 1 single application managed the two platforms (daqmx and inheritance).  So far, it's all great.

If anyone knows what are my options if I want to use Windows Vista or Windows 7.  We are currently running this app on Windows XP.  I'm ready to upgrade my software if necessary although I have to spend to VB.net and Measurement Studio 7.1 (I currently have).  But if we were to happen tomorrow is there any compatilibility. I read that the traditional / legacy NOR-DAQ is not supported in Vista (Win7).  I googled and found there was a beta version which seemed to weakly in support of the legacy but did not support USB devices which is what I have (6020e (inheritance), SCXI (daqmx), 6259 (daqmx).)  I've heard that Windows 7 will have a virtualization system for XP applications that do not work natively under Win7, but for some reason, I doubt that the drivers and hardware will be run this way.

Also, should there be differences between Vista and 7? I'm an XP user and computers I support many XP so I really have no experience with Vista.  I plan to install the Windows 7 RC to try some of this stuff.

    Thank you, David

Use of our released traditional DAQ drivers is not supported on Vista systems, even running in virtual Windows XP mode. The driver works at a lower level which can emulate a virtual mode.

However, we have a public beta version for a traditional DAQ driver that works for Vista. You can read about this version beta here

  • Install LifeCam Studio offline

I have recently loaded several LifeCam Studio webcam on XP SP3 machines installation.

However, the only problem that occurs is that the installation wants to an available internet connection to install the necessary drivers, even if I download the executable file of the product support page.
There is workaround to allow offline installation? The customer that I install these cannot allow an available internet connection on these machines, for security reasons.

    Hello

Installation requires Internet access to connect to a specific server from Microsoft.

  • LifeCam studio won't launch

    Hello

My lifecam studio worked pretty well, but I kept getting a message saying something about the requirements is not enough
but it was the path in front of the requirements. but I was going to upgrade my CPU when even if I upgraded from AMD Phenom II x 4 965 140 Watt 3.5 Ghz
to a Phenom II x 6 1100T 125 watt 3.4 Ghz after this update the lifecam studio software will not launch if it dose it stops a few seconds
and said he met an error inform Microsoft of this error. I can use the webcam with other programs like adobe flash media live encoder
and other streaming broadcasters. but I can't use it by its self like to take a photo or video to upload to youtube, things like that.
It does not work with Skype, yahoo messenger, Microsoft, live video chat sites or programs. I was told that I had to update the bios I did
but which has not helped with the lifecam studio, but with other hardware and software. I have the AMD Phenon II x 6 1100t clocked at 4.4 GHz
and that did not help ether are my Nivida GeForce 260 SLI graphics card OC HD 3D ready I have 8 GB memory 1000GO drive hard windows XP

and the software worked as he did before. but I need the AMD Phenom II x 6 1100t I play a lot of games on my PC and I also live stream
at the same time and the AMD Phenom II x 4 956 clocked to 5.2 GHz could not keep up.
I hope I have not confused anyone, but I wanted to give as much info as I could to help him.

    Thank you!

I discovered what the problem was.

It is the combination of XP a 6 core CPU and the Lifecam software, they do not work together.

To get the lifecam to launch, I have to go into the Task Manager and click on process and then right-click on the exe lifecam, then click set affinity, and then unslect 2 carrots to make lifecam think that there are only 4 hearts, then it works fine. The only downside is: you must do this every time you want to use the lifecam.

  • LifeCam Studio has stopped working after the firmware update?

    Hi all.

I bought one of the new LifecamStudio 2 days ago. I installed the camera, following the instructions of course. At the end of installation, I was able to get my self in the window of the Lifecam software, up to now, no problem, the device worked. Suddenly, a pop-up message will appear, telling me that the firmware of the device should be upgraded, then I pressed OK. The update of the firmware started but was abandoned shortly with an errormessage, saying the upgrade was not successful. I tried to reinstall the firmware, but now he tells me Hat I have the latest firmware installed. The nproblem is therefore now that, when I instert my camera in USB port windows find the camera, but as soon as I start any program it uses the camera he's leaving a Lifecam icon (in the hardware Manager that is) to an unknown unit. Software Lifecam studio told me that there is no camera installed. I installed the camera on other computers without a bit of luck.

    / Stefan

    Fixed it :)
In the Device Manager under imaging devices I've seen "Webcam" - before the botched fw update, it said 'Microsoft LifeCam Studio' and was a diff driver.  I rolled back the driver (or if it does not work you can force it to use one of the program files \ lifecam) then reinstalled lifecam - my cam works now.  Now - what's the problem with this update utility and why it changes what is driving the camera uses?

  • Creating controls in Documaker Studio

Hi all, we seek to create controls using Documaker Studio.  I see that the MICR font used to print on the check account routing numbers is included in Documaker.  My question is about the special characters printed with these numbers.  Is there some set upward we do that automatically generates these?  I don't see anyway to insert them ourselves.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Matt,

Thanks for the info about the placement.  My question was specifically about special characters/symbols that delimit parts of the MICR-line that you mentioned above.  With some additional research, I discovered that these are represented in the Documaker Studio using the characters A, B, C, and D in their place.  Thanks again for your reply - will be useful when you install these.
