Logo of Bios H50 - 55

Wondering when the logo will be updated in line with the rebranding?

Which will depend on if they ever release an update to the newest BIOS for your model.

From one day to the other does not start my Tecra 8000 (400 MHz/256 MB BIOS 9.30 for years). After start-up, the disc starts to turn, but the screen including the backlight remains completely black, without red logo TOSHIBA BIOS is not accessible.

I got a new mainboard on stock, so I replaced it, and it worked. Unfortunately now my WLAN card now did not work properly. I tried several settings of the BIOS with no results, so I decided to do an update of the BIOS from 7.50 to 9: 30. After the upgrade, I get the message "ROM WRITE successful, utility completed. LEADER BIOS: Tecra8000 v 9,30 ". Because what either kept silent, I pressed the power button to restart and heard a long and many short beeps (endless). I could interrupt what pressing the powerbutton for 5s.

After turning on again I have the same problem as described in the first line :-( I can't get into the BIOS, but I can again update (with pressed F12). Once again these beeps.

What to do with these beeps after average BIOS update? I replaced the MoBo connector LED with pension. Processor, memory, keyboard and HD has remained the same. So, before I start disassembling the machine, please notify, your help is very appreciated.

    Hello Joachim

I'm not a technician and don t know what the beeps but I am afraid that the BIOS chip is damaged. Because of this, the unit is completely dead. Sorry, but I really don t believe you can do anything. Maybe the new motherboard again :(

  • Satellite Pro A10 - upgrade RAM

    Hello

I have an A10 with 512 MB DDR PC2100 CL2.5 Satellite Pro (266) and want to upgrade to 1024Mo with two sticks of 512 MB. The scanner memory Crucial sites says I can do it and PC2700 (333) too.

I bought the package and install, it worked for a day or so then wouldn't boot, no LOGO from BIOS Toshiba no tray DVD not free either. When I put the old RAM, things were ok. .

    So my question is really:

The A10 is able to use the RAM PC2700 as Crucial says he is or they is bad.
Textbooks do not give the answer.

Thanks in advance for any information on this problem.

I ve checked the specs of the laptop and it says that you can upgrade your laptop up to 1 GB of RAM and compatible RAM module for upgrade is PC2100 512 MB (PA3164U - 1 M 51). Check it please this part number. This module is 100% compatible and you can use it with an old man.

Maybe it sounds silly now but Crucial is not the best option. Many people have claimed about similar problems using critical modules.

  • Equium A200-1V0: charger plugged freezes when starting laptop

    Hello
My satellite developed a strange absence of the module.

When the laptop is connected to the charger it does not start. LEDs light up, keyboard blinks once and the screen is bright, but it is completely empty (no Toshiba logo, no bios, nothing).

There is however no problem when I start the system on battery (charger unplagged). If I plug the charger at any time during the startup of the system it freezes immediately. It does not strike, the mouse pointer does not move and the blue lights are solid. However the battery LED turns orange. I get the answer only to keep the power button down for 4 seconds - how well be able to disable.

When I restart the laptop on the battery then only Vista starts without problems.

Does anyone have an idea, what could cause this problem, switch power supply, motherboard, charger? Is there an easy fix for this?

Could you please say how Toshiba deposit would charge to fix it?

    Thank you very much
    ARIC

    Hi arek_1,

Are you using the original Toshiba AC/DC adapter or is it a 3rd party charger?
Can you charge the battery while the laptop is turned off?

It is certainly a hardware malfunction, but either it s caused by AC/DC adapter itself or mainboard (load control).

I put t know how much it cost to fix this problem, but just ask an authorized service provider. Guys you can make an offer how much it cost, and they must determine the laptop before determining what part needs to be replaced. ;)

  • Satellite P10 792 won't boot to the top

Worked fine before, now won't start upward.
I can not only see the TOSHIBA Logo no Bios, because the cooler clean cpu fan & I remove my Satellite P10 792 RAM without removing the battery.

When I try to boot my laptop all I get is the blue power light coming on and the fan turns on 4 or 5 seconds and then nothing

I tried remove the battery CMOS, will not always to start!
Note: I'm living in eastern Libya, TOSHIBA ASP 800 km from me

Check the voltage of the AC adapter, if his less than 19volts gift, it could be defective.

Otherwise, it looks like he needs a new mainboard. You might be able to find one on eBay.

  • HP 2207: monitor: no display

Turn on the desktop but no display on a monitor. Turn the computer on and off several times control finally wakes up. Tried computer with different monitor and seems to work very well. seems to have started after automatic update of windows 10.  I was wondering if the update of windows modified/removed some App or driver? Once the disply is turned on, it works fine. I was wondering if it time for a new Summit/desktop monitor?

    Hello Joe,

You said that this monitor seems to work intermittently, but if you connect another monitor, the 2nd monitor works fine without any problems.

    Is this correct?

    More big question first.

The monitor remains blacked out through the whole process of starting the computer?

In other words, start HP Logo or bios screen appears briefly at the beginning or show anything?

    If shows nothing at all...

You did it you don't have a connection badly squeezed into ports?

You use the same cable (VGA) to both monitors, or the 2nd monitor has its own cable?

You can test it with an HDMI cable for a comparison?

If a HDMI cable has no problem, you have either a faulty VGA cable or faulty VGA port on the monitor (or possibly the PC).

If another cable makes no difference, something else in this monitor is a failure. Yet once, maybe a wire loose on the port or something on the Panel of the card itself. If this the case, it is time to replace the monitor.

    Let me know, thanks.

  • ProBook 6560 b: Probook 6560 b screen has lines blue vertical + VIDEO TDI FAILURE (atikmpag.sys)

    [IMG] http://i68.Tinypic.com/zya8mb.jpg [line]

    [IMG] http://I66.Tinypic.com/sfb2uq.jpg [line]

My computer runs Windows 10 64-bit and Windows 7 64 bit in a dual boot, my laptop has a 6470 M graphic ATI card.

I was running a game in Windows 10 when 'glitches' started occurring on the screen, the blue strips on the screen vertical lines.  Then I tried to check for the latest drivers, I already had the latest, but tried to install the Beta Edition Crimson.

Questions seem to get worse, windows would start well, but by practicing a game the screen would suddenly get these strange blue strips, and when the screen is black the whole screen is filled with blue dots.

I left the laptop running for awhile, and when I came back to it, the screen was out of order so I restarted.

Blue stripes appear now already during the welcome of the hp bios screen before the OS has been loaded. What, I'm unable to connect to Windows 10 in normal mode, as he complains of a "FAILURE of TDI VIDEO (atikmpag.sys)" error and stops at blue screen. ""
I am able to log in window s10 in safe modeand when it is connected to an external display by VGA adapter, but there are always strange objects and strips of blue lines.

The same blue lines appear in windows 7, also I am here only able to log on in safe mode.

In my haste to fix this with a driver issue, I'm also currently not able to uninstall the driver thanks to the "add or remove programs" in windows 10, maybe I should have uninstalled the other driver first. The uninstall program gives an error message, I think it's "initialization error" or something similar (I can check when I get home)

I tried to update the bios of F.22 to F.61 too, but there is nothing.

My theory is that the ATI card actually suffered a severe hardware malfunciton, as the seeds of graphs already occur before the operating system is loaded, in the screen/HP logo screen bios welcom immediately after startup. I can't realistically replace the ATI card, so I'm afraid that the laptop is now brick. As the laptop is an I5 2520, I guess it's a HD3000 Intel integrated graphics card, but I've never seen this map in "Device Manager", it's in my mind, maybe the last option I have, can I just bypass the ATI card and use the other onboard graphics, that would be acceptable to me.

I would be eternally grateful if anyone has any suggestions for me.

If you see the lines on the screen when it makes BIOS initialization with the HP logo then it is not a driver issue, it is a hardware failure.

In the probooks I was inside the video is integrated in the motherboard, so the odds on the motherboard needs to be replaced to fix your problem.

  • INSPIRON All In One 20 - black screen when you power on

I have an Inspiron 20 model 3048.  The machine has been completely cleaned.  I wanted to install Windows 10 on it.  Powered on, the screen of the BACK came with the opportunity to make Windows 10 because it was installed there before he wiped.  One of the other options on the screen at that time was pressing the F8 key for other selections.  I pressed F8 and the screen went completely black and has been that way since.  When I re - turn on there is no Dell logo more and F2 and F8, F12 keys do nothing.  There is really nothing wrong with the material; everything worked fine before you press the F8 key.  The power led is white.  There are no beeps.  The fan works.  The flashes of light of CPU.  Optical disc drive opens.  I pressed the brightness on the monitor control buttons and lights up the screen in different colors which he travels, so there is nothing wrong with the monitor.  I removed the battery and ram and then reinstalled the twelve hours later.  The same thing: a white screen.  I am at a loss what to do.  This thing is learning to where it will be a doorstop.  I can't do anything if nothing never appears on the screen.  Help, please.  Lenny

    New information:

By pressing the F8 had nothing to do with it.

I have now found a way to get the screen to show the Dell logo and the menu of the BIOS:

With memory removed button battery, unplug the computer from the electrical outlet, and reconnect it.  The computer then powers at once, then off, then on again, then on the road, the on a third time and remains lit.  I then the manually using the on/off button.  When it starts, I start by pressing the F2 key.  It starts showing the Dell logo and bios menu.

I don't know what to do from here.  I don't see anything available that can solve the problem, although I can now make and see the bios menu.  Don't forget, the battery must be out of the machine to make it happen.  He don't won't happen if the battery is in.

  • Compaq Presario F730US unable to boot

I have a Compaq Presario F730US one day decided to not start. When I press the power button, the computer turns on, but it isn't even in the Compaq Logo or BIOS. After 30 seconds, the computer turns off and turns then turn it back on. He repeats this cycle about 3 - 4 times. Anyone know what could be the cause? Motherboard does not need to be replaced, but some elements on this issue will have to be replaced or re - solder. Has anyone else had a similar problem. I really want to save my laptop.

I was finally able to fix my laptop

I discovered that the nvidia next to the processor chip was not welded. After re - solder the chip my computer works perfectly. It only cost me a dime to the difficulty. The technique used to re - solder the chip is called to reinvest. I would recommend that you have an expert do (they charge about $60 to perform the reflow). I also replaced the cushion above the chip with a piece of copper (a dime) with the thermal paste on both sides of it.

  • Satellite A300D-151 not starting not don't logo, BIOS

    Hello

I recently had problems with my A300D.

During normal use, the screen has behaved weird, became white and normal several times until it stopped working. When I rebooted the green light, the DVD is available and I can detect two low beeps. That's all. No logo, no to enter bios, nothing.

I tried remove the batttery, cut the power and press the power button for the minutes and start sto attemtpetd with and without battery to no gain.

The computer is powered with a correct voltage (19.4 V measured) but does not start.
What is the CMOS battery that needs to be replaced?
    Or bad memory?

That indicates the only two beeps?
    Motherbooard defective?

Any advice or ideas are appreciated.

    Thank you

  • 2430-101 stops at Toshiba-Logo (BIOS Setup/Boot-selection products deadloop)

    Hello.

I have a serious problem with my Satellite 2430 101:

The system stops at the start after reaching the TOSHIBA Logo. Pressing F2/F12-key appears common waiting messages ("enter in BIOS-Setup" / "entering Boot Device selection Menu) "), but the system hangs and then upward in a deadloop (you can hear the fan turning after a few seconds). Restarting with Ctrl + Alt + Delete system works perfectly, but as soon as it happens

This is what happened before the last stop:

I simply restarted the system (OS: Novell/SUSE Linux 9.3 kernel 2.4.xxx) and usual stop messages appeared. Then there was strange messages, which resembles BIOS-output (I'm sure it's no message-Linux)-I remember only something about "Boot PXE" and that it was an error message. After waiting some time (about 15 minutes), I rebooted manually by pressing the power button.

I tried unplugging everything which has been connected to the system (including ModularBay devices) - without any result. I use the old BIOS 1.10 because there is no BIOS-update to the 2430-101 available in the downlads (maybe that was the problem). I also tried out the hard drive - even without a hard drive, the system displays the same behavior (if the hard drive is not the problem)...

I hope someone can help me with this, because I need my laptop for my work...

    Thank you

    Hi Rico,

Have you tried to boot in SafeMode (PF8)? This should at least help you in your system to check for any errors.

You can also try pressing them ESC when starting so that you can see the progress of the BIOS and the error messages.

    Steven

Laptop/netbook/laptop PC have usually one welded in the BIOS chip is not as simple as with a desktop PC.

It can be done in a place of repair BIOS if your laptop is out of warranty.

You can replace the motherboard yourself.  There are replacement MB available at lower cost than their purchase of HP.  Down the number of the MB if you want to open again. Do a google/bing search to find a source of reasonably priced.
