• Looking for a script or plug-in

  Greetings from the scope,

  I'm looking for a script or a plug that can cut a layer (even if it only works on a form or a solid) and cut in non-uniform shapes or masks.

  I looked around and found a couple of things, but nothing that creates non-uniform shapes.  Think like a random shocks, except the script would create non-uniform shapes or masks of the initial or solid form.  I hope that makes sense.

  Maybe it would work. Set up a document Illustrator the size of the layer you want to split into triangles. Create a rectangle. Switch to the line tool and draw a bunch of lines crossing the rectangle using the bearings commented to align the edges and vertices.

  Select the layer group and sequence layers allows to separate all the triangles in layers:

  

  Drag each new layer above layer 1 and import the file HAVE as a model to get perfectly matching triangles

  

  One is irrelevant, so you can see them. Another option would be to select all and copy and then go to the AE and paste to create a mask for each of the forms.

• Looking for better "transitions" plug-ins

  Hi, I just bought Photoshop elements and Elements 9 package first. Problem is that I'm a simple guy who does a lot of video films for my work and I want to just a very simple type transition ' fade in ' to merge my video clips. Those provided are "busy" and are a source of distraction in my humble opinion.   The standard disslove or bland cross that comes with PE9 I would thought would achieve what you want.

  You can have either before or after the jump line or any also riding on it.

  Simply insert a line break and just drag the effect to the line break.

  There is another way that you don't need the 'effects', but gives you full control of the transition.

  When you want that the audio fade differently at the video, I put a break in the video and slide the rear part until the second video track and drag it a little earlier by the length of the fade or disslove.

  Then make a right click on the clip I select fade in and out on the top rail and change the yellow lines in the titles to get the right timing.

  For example. You want to remove a complete sentence in an interview. You insert a points on the yellow line audio quickly melted and lower the audio before the transition begins to remove the first word of the sentence not desired while retaining a bit of video.   My iMac HD has failed, and I took it to Apple to get it replaced. I had a Time Machine backup on an external hard drive Seagate. But my iMac just not see the backup drive Seagate. I don't know if there is a trick to getting the Seagate HD displays. It does not show in Finder or in disk utility. But when the iMac HD was not, and I looked for ways to restore, I saw a Time Machine backup date. Now, I can not see the drive. Even though I have the music and pictures stored in iCloud, all my apps are now gone. I don't know where to start. I was a fool to trust Time Machine? This is literally disastrous for me, and I don't know where to start. What I need, is to see this backup disk somewhere BTW, I plugged on another iMac and he did not see it either. Is there some magic for Seagate HD?

  Some things you can try:

  * Open the Finder preferences (under the Finder menu, top left of your screen). Make sure that on the general tab, the boxes are ticked for hard disks and drives, to show them on your desktop. Otherwise, they won't be visible.

  What exactly you are looking for in what is optimization? You want to connect the phone to a FM transmitter and read on your car stereo. Your biggest weakness is the FM transmitter - what is generally where people find sound degradation, but it seems to be your only option.

  I'm looking for a printer that suite me for about a week now and still have not decided what to buy. I am inclined to it right now

  I print around 10-50 pages per month and I decided to get an all-in-one printer with a USB 2.0 support.

  I'm not interested in Wifi or network printer as I have a pogo plug in unit.

  I don't mean for print speeds high I print very less.

  When I looked at the HP inkjet printers, means advised pages to print is 400 pages per month, which is much more than what I will use eventually.

  My friends tell me, inkjet printer when it is insufficiently used to frequent replacement of the cartridge and that I should go for Laser alternatives. With my needs as a kid, I don't feel comfortable for a costly option.

  Is there a printer that will suit me?

  I have very little knowledge about printers and would appreciate any help

  I found the solution!

  You need to repair or rebuild Windows DriverStore. (which would make a reinstallation)

  You need access to a working Windows machine to solve this problem, but your PC will fix the driverstore himself.

  To do this:

  1) go to "C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository" from a working PC that is copied to a USB drive or a network share.

  (2) on your PC goto Device Manager and find the device that settles (look for the yellow triangle).

  (3) right click and select "Update Driver Software".

  (4) select "Browse my computer for driver software".

  5) navigate to the location of your good copy of the DriverStore

  (6) "Include subfolders" check and click Next

  Windows will now search the driver good store and will be re - install the pre-configured drivers.

  Ignore any warnings about the driver being unsigned and let your PC to install them.

  Work pilots will be given on your pc, the driver cache will rebuild and your device will start working.

  Hooray!

  If you move the device to another USB port it will now install automatically, as it should.
