Hello, dear users of the forum.

I'm sorry, beforehand, this message is not appropriate for starting the oracle forums, because it has nothing to do with oracle technologies.
I'm looking for Crawford Wilson appointee. I know it's stupid to ask this question, as with the same name, there could be more than one person.
The problem is that I have sat exam Oracle in February and was waiting for my certification this month and today I got, but when I opened it, I saw that it of not mine and belongs to another person, named Crawford Wilson.

So, here put a thread, hopefully find him and make him know about it, maybe he also got my certificate, by mistake

I have a feeling it is usually one of the cases when you need to send an email to [email protected], provide your personal information (name, mailing address, test id) and describe your problems list it as you did here.
In a better situation Brandye (moderator of the Forum Certification) will see this thread and can have a look at the files in the OCP, but I suspect she'll ask you to send an e-mail to ocp-fullfillment_ww.

    OK, it looks like your reference to 'Oracle for Linux' is in fact 'Oracle' - Oracle Linux version of the Linux operating system, built out of Red Hat Linux.

    If this is what you mean - create a virtual machine that is running Oracle Linux... then, running Oracle RDBMS on this virtual machine, and then you run on an operating system taken supported Oracle.  It doesn't really matter what the host's OS.

    Mind you, you would be probably hard pressed to actually get support in the form of an SR, but it does not appear that's really your concern, and it doesn't seem to me, the way I read your post, it should be a matter of concern.  You just want to run oracle on an OS that will be easy to install and have a justified expectation that thing will work as documented.

    (2) Download Oracle VM Virtual Machine for Ubuntu, download image for Oracle for Linux and Oracle 12 c database for Oracle for Linux. Create a virtual OS for Oracle for Linux and run Oracle 12 c.     Bad idea.

    55g available disk could be things short cut.  If you cannot release everything, you could get an external drive for a very reasonable cost and put your entire VM installation on it.  See other comments about the CPU for virtualization products.

    Did you by chance average the 11.2.0.1 release? I don't think that any patchsets for 11.2 has been released?

  • Looking for input on the replacement of certificates self-signed

    After many hours trying to find an answer, I now turn to the experts for assistance here.  I have Setup initially vcloud with a self-signed certificate and I am looking for help.  After some research, I was able to create a new key file with my CA-signed certificate.  However, I have problems beyond the portion of reconfigure.

    First off I am struck by the: 1433 bug I had when I initially configure vcloud where the configure script does not pick up the port number.  The workaround for this is to add: 1433 to the host name as it the entrance as the port number.  Now that I'm gone, I get an error NewInstall_preInit sql.  I don't understand not even why I need a "newInstall" as I already have a database works.  Here is my command output, maybe one of the guru here can point me in the right direction.

    Just a stab in the dark - the guides call say use a user for vcloud (named: vcloud) not "its".

    Our vcloud database user login has a default instance of the vcloud database.  Maybe this will get around the question (seems to me that THE default connection is master - and before the change of the "vcloud" database scripts he tries to put in single-user mode.

    I'm looking for a file comparison tool / app.  By the image below, I want to clarify two folders (folder A and folder X) and then have the app compare all files in both folders and their respective subfolders.  What is important, I want the tool to ignore the names of file in the comparison.  In the following example 03 file exists in the two top-level folders, so should not be reported as a difference, even if it resides in subfolders named differently.  A tool that will do anyone know?  THX

  • Installation of ore 1.5: ROracle are looking for 11.1 client while 12.1 is installed

    We are installing new packages of ore 1.5 client on a Linux server. Following the documentation, we have successfully installed Client Oracle DB moment v. 12.1 in the /usr/lib/oracle/12.1/client64/libdirectory.

    Problem is ORE fails to load, in fact, because of the failure of ROracle:

    Error in dyn.load (file, DLLpath = DLLpath,...):

    Unable to load the shared object ' / usr/lib64/R/library/ROracle/libs/ROracle.so':

    libclntsh.so.11.1: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory

    Error: package 'OREdm' could not be loaded


    It's true that the file libclntsh.so.11.1 does not exist, simply because the installed client is 12.1 and not 11.1:

    Inspired by the one, we have created a new link symbolic libclntsh.so.11.1-> libclntsh.so.12.1, which solved the problem.

    It seems that ROracle, although it is updated (version 1.2-1), don't look for the customer 11.1...

    My question is: is this expected behavior (after all, what makes us looks like to a workaround)? If not, what missed us in the installation procedure?

    Correct, creating copies is the solution when you run the client of 12 DB.

    We'll add a note in the installation guide to make this clearer.

    Vcle in table2 is a concatenation of value1, value2, value3 on table1.

    So the end result is on the web page of all the values in table 1, unmodifiable, 2 reviews in table2 fields that can be changed. A user can change these fields, then they will save in table2 with the key of concatenation. the reason why I want to do like this, with a second table is because whenever a user changes these fields I want to insert again to occur in this table, not an update, which will add a trigger, I have a new version number. This sounds like a mistake to do it this way?

    The strategy of the concatenation is a mistake.

    Concatenation requires strings, then you would be conversion 3 numbers to strings to concatenate, then convert it to a number stored in table2.

    If I insert = 11-v1, v2 = 11, v3 = 11 then insert v1 = 1, v2 = 11, v3 = 111.  I generates the same Vcle and either corrupt your data or make it impossible to tell what row in table1 = 111111 Vcle should concern.

    A substitution used as primary key in table 1 key is a way to fix this design.

    I'm looking for a revenge that is able to insert new records and modify those that already exist, based on a notural key that if there are changes.

    This feature is not available with one of the existing IKM (incremental update (MERGE) should be close)

    However the above mentioned IKM will change each record that is loaded without trying the differences (aside from the key match of the cause).

    We could use the IKM - SCD (slowly changing) case but we would need to define additional attributes to the target (active, date_from, date_to).

    Any suggestion would be appreciated,

    You can get this behavior in ODI11g.

    Maybe not the solution the beautiful but will do what you want. You will have a large join between the tables.

    Just add the source and the target as 'sources' table in the interface design and build joins. You will have the result desired by using the current KMs.

    If your source is composed of one or more tables. Create a temporary interface and reference in as a subselect in the final interface.

    Test of performance because this can put more burden of leaving just to put updated everything.

    Put this in a KM is the best option I think.

  • Start of fusion 5 looking for files from previous edition

    I used 4 of Fusion for a year and had no problems.  Since the update to Mountain Lion and Fusion 5, I had several problems starting 5 merge conflicts.

    I reinstalled Fusion 5 on the weerkend with her began editing Windows Vista x 64 3.  I found only in the library and on my hard drive in the virtual machines.  But when I run Fusion I get the attached message looking for a 2 edition file and a file of edition 1.  I have no such file in my Virtual Machines folder.  I can't open the file 3 edition of Windows Vista x 64 in the folder virtual computers.  When I press it, it tries to start the Fusion and I get the error message.

    I have attached the error message and the files of Support information.

    Any ideas greatly appreciated.

    You have a proper backup of the objective of the Virtual Machine to restore?  If yes then restore from the backup, if not, you will need to create a new Virtual Machine, install the operating system guest of your choice and then you will have a working Virtual Machine!

    According to the support group, there is only one Virtual Machine, and it has found and named "/ users/jacmac48/Documents/Virtual Edition Vista x 64 Machines.localized/Windows 3.vmwarevm" and the list of directories for .vmwarevm package shows that the virtual hard disk file 'Windows Vista x 64 Edition.vmdk' is not present in this package and pointed him to "/ users/jacmac48/Documents/Virtual Edition Vista x 64 Machines.localized/Windows 2.vmwarevm/Windows Vista x 64 Edition.vmdk.  This means that the 'Windows Vista x 64 Edition 2.vmwarevm' Virtual Machine package is missing and was probably accidentally deleted by you.  So this means that if you have stored it somewhere else or have a correct backup while you do as I have already said, create a new virtual machine and install the guest of your choice operating system.   In addition, you can remove the existing virtual machine Package and remove it is entered in the Virtual Machine library if you are not able to restore from a known good backup.
