  Hello - I have a flash for ios application that loads external swf child on a button click; When I use AIR 3.8 I can't load.   My windows xp tried to upgrade with the 3.5 framework - net framework 3.5 SP1 update family (KB951847) x 86 since 07/08/09.  History shows that he has failed every time.  He also tried to install service pack 2 (KB948465) since 07/08/09 and has failed each attempt.  When I try to check new updates, it says "windows has not can find new updates" with an error code 80070490.  When I try to upgrade with the framework 3.5 service pack 1, it says "some updates were not installed" with an error code of 80070673.  History shows that all other updates have been installed successfully.  Please let me know what I need to do to fix this problem.

  You will need to fix the OS before trying to fix the rest of your problems. If the OS is unstable, then nothing else will matter. Make sure you have backups up-to-date of all your personal stuff and know where the product keys etc in case you should reinstall. That your OS is stable/fixed you can follow instructions from PA Bear re updates of the framework.

  I tried to delete all external drives and other USB devices, including my Modem but my Wired USB keyboard/mouse.

  Disk 0 Partition 2 - 3.5 GB - logical

  Disk 1 Partition 1 - 47 MB - OEM (reserved) [DellUtility]
  Disc 1 2:Win - 39.1 GB - System Partition
  1 3 disk partition: DATA - 39,1 GB - logical
  Disk partition 1 4:OfficeProgs - 19.5 GB - logical
  Partition on drive 1 logical - 39.1 GB - 5:PROJECTS
  etc to score 8 with 9 MB of unallocated space.

  I have tried both 64 and 32 discs with the same result.

  As I have now is no longer no matter what Windows on my computer, what's the next step? If any ;-)

  I solved the problem. It seems that you can not install on a secondary partition with in an earlier version of windows. You must restart the computer and run the installation from a dvd or other media.  Once you get the installation running you should be able to install on another partition without any problems.

  Option 3: The question can be caused also by your security program such an antivirus or a firewall of Windows /Defender that can have conflicting parameters as to not not to perform certain tasks.   Option 4: The problem could be linked to a local or domain group policy. Make sure that the local account is defined as 'local user __vmware_user__' in the local Administrators group and the permissions of "Log on locally" and "Log on as a service.

  The two parameters are available in the "* Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\User Rights Assignment *" branch of domain group policy or local.

  My first question would be: do you want to TBNotifier that is bound to the Ask toolbar? These puppies were probably installed with Java or a Java Update.
   
  If you don't want them, remove them in programs and features, and restart. If you still get this notification, run these tools one at a time. If removes one of them, you do not need to run the rest.
   
   
  Delete Adware & puppies with these tools. Check the updates first and then analyze with each of them at a time until your machine is clean.
