  Yes and no.

  Yes - if you are showing them how to use a VI that you configured as a server, they can watch using remote façade. There are also (limited) ActiveX controls that allow you to use external applications in LabVIEW, IE: Word, Excel, WMP, etc.

  Chances are that your license is only for the Mac platform.

  You are really limited in the number of times that you could download - just the number of installations that can be activated.  May have enabled facilities on two machines, even if both should run on the same platform.  If it is CS6 you can ask an Exchange platform, but that doesn't look like what you want to do.

  I ask if people find the hierarchy TDMS a shy level of perfection, or am I wrong in using the technology.  TDMS files intended to contain data for a single test, or are people able to store multiple tests in a single file?  Here's my use case:

  I generate about 35 tests per minute.

  Each test has 3 phases/segments (warm-up run, cooldown phase)

  Each segment of phase / has 4 to 6 channels.

  Each channel is D 1 data table.

  If I understand correctly, TDMS is a hierarchy of level 3, so I need to create a new file for each test (yuck), or use a group for each test, a channel for each phase and reshape the channel data 2D to 1 d for a single channel entry.

  • A TDMS file
    • Group for each test
      • A channel for every bit of information about this test

  Ken is perhaps more familiar with the Agent Ransack, I am, but a quick check she finds every instance of a string of text and shows the term in the context of a single line subject to the following:

  • At the end of the search, a list of the files found is accompanied by some statistics.
  • If you select one of the files found, each 'hit' for this file is displayed in the context of a single line.  In other words, you get a list of hits in context as in your original question.  Instead, you get a list of, say, 42 documents and then if you have selected the Document 22, you will see:
    • «.. but the religious atmosphere had not evolved to the point where... »
    • «.. . not that the religious atmosphere was still too controversial for a settlement... »
  • The display of content seems to work with OK * .doc, *.docx and files *.pdf; not so many other types of files - even if it looks for text in all kinds of other files.

  Agent Ransack is free.  Download and try it.  If you don't like, just uninstall.

  I had a problem with an excessive amount of pop ups lately in my chrome browser and found a few basic programs installed on my laptop. I tried to uninstall the malicious software through programs and features, but when I type on uninstall or remove nothing happens, and the program won't uninstall.

  I tried to restart and uninstall then again through programs and features, but had the same result.

  Y at - it another way to uninstall programs in windows 8, or someone has suggestions?

  As long as you are in possession of the admin password, you can install, Uninstall, change settings etc, in a standard user account (limited user account).
  There is no (negative) disadvantage of doing.

  The problem in my case was because in one of the test cases I was releasing the module of the application in the method of disassembly.
