LOOP PLAYBACK

Is there a play loop, or anyway a button loop segment (image) when editing in the timeline in first elements?

  • Continuous loop - playback

Is there a way to loop an individual object and have it play continuously without affecting the other objects in the script?

    Hello

The right answer in the thread below will help you to loop a symbol, so what I would say is the animation that you want without affecting the rest of the timeline loop a symbol first. Then follow the steps in the thread below and that should fix your situation. : )

  • event handler programmatically for different loop than the event itself

    Hello

I'm driving a car of mine using compactDAQ in labview. I have two parallel looping using queues. One is for the tips - READ LOOP playback engine - (running more often), and the other for writing to the engine in bits - LOOP to WRITE.

When I shoot a little some (by CAR), the motor starts to move with a pre-defined pace and to a predefined position. So far so good. Thus, when the engine starts, it replaces two bits:

-sets bit BUSY (indicating the movement)

-Disable INP bit, which indicates that the motor is not in a position

As soon as the engine reaches its final destination the BUSY bit is cleared and the bit of the INP is set.

The question is: How can I sign up for the BUSY bit (INP or both) goes high (or low) in LOOP WRITE, given that the bit is read LOOP read? Is it possible to do using queues? I read something about the events, but I don't know exactly how incorporating them in line-ups. Is this OK same design for the engine management?

I have attached some of my code, where I have a structure of the event, where a condition is the change of the busy flag that is updated in LOOP READ. However the structure of the event will never run.

I would like my RTO case run once and then expects busy go upstairs, and then again for INP to go UP and after that the next case is running (stop or other).

I know that my code is not perfect, but I'm pretty new to labview...

Thanks for any information that can help

User events are just another way to communicate between the 2 loops.  Queues are also used to communicate between two loops.  If you already have a queue from one loop at the other, you could just keep using that.  I have recommended the user events due to the structure of the event you have included in your loop of producer.  User events can be triggered at any time you want.  You can have the code in your block diagram that uses the Event.vi user generate causes the structure of the event with the other loop turns off.  Event structures are usually turns off when a Panel before its value control has changed, but they can also be configured for these user events.

You can really make this communication between your two loops in different ways.  If you use a LabVIEW 2012 I strongly recommended to take a look at the producer/consumer model, which is available for you to look at this common architecture and compare it to what you have now.  If you have not 2012 try to look at the example in my last post on the producer/consumer with user events.  You will find more success using architectures such as these.

bit of a newbie question (I've been using first for 4 days).

I have a transition in my video and I want to be able to preview the transition a few times more, so I want to loop playback. How could I go about this?

Basically, I want to be able to watch a few seconds before the transition, then a few seconds after and just repeating so I know im happy with the result.

  • Is it possible to create a 'play only' Blu - ray disc, which makes a loop in reading?

Hi, I wonder if there is a simple setting in Encore CS4 to author loop playback of a Blu - ray disc, without the need for a menu screen.  Can anyone say about that?  The most popular comments.

Even as DVD: set the first piece on your timeline and set the action for the end of the timeline on itself.

  • Looping vs «Back to the last Menu»

I make a DVD of videos of song which can be accessed in various different ways menus (individually, in games and in a playback mode continues for background music).  Since there is no Menu remote to still "playlists" (only for actual deadlines), I'll put the Remote = 'Return to the last Menu' Menu so that he could go from the user.  So far so good.  But it seems that the "last menu" stored in the meter memory DVD can be not only a menu, but also a reading list (even if it isn't a menu), which gets me into trouble.  To make my loop continues, I have a playlist with all 12 songs, and I'm doing his thing end points to itself.  Everything works fine during the first time through the reading list, but if he played for more than one cycle, when a user presses the button the remote Menu, it just goes back at the beginning of the playlist, not on the menu.  If the user is blocked, and the only way he can get out of the loop without the disc's title Menu button pressing, which do not even have many universal remote controls.

I don't want to debate whether or not this behavior is a bug (either in even or in the way that works DVD).  All I want is to know if there is a smart solution.  For the moment, I see three options:

    • Just offer 'Play all 12 songs' (once through the reading list) instead of "Continuous loop playback" - less functional, but easy to understand
    • Force the user to eject it or have and use a remote control title button (labeled various ways on different remotes, so I don't know how to Word the instructions)
    • Make a very long playlist with 12 songs repeated several times (it is not an endless loop, but is more than one) - work to create, and I don't know the limits on the number of terms in a playlist, especially when there are two of them with the same length for two different versions of the songs, with 24 shorter selections

I hope that there is a fourth option, I have not yet thought of.  Any ideas?

You can link the action at the end of each of the time limits to the next sequential timeline, so that they are all in order, without messing up the navigation that you use for the rest of the disc?

If so, then the link between action by the end of the chronology of the last and the first timeline.  Link the button of continuous play to the first timeline.

  • CAN read data using NI-XNET

I was playing around with the new NI XNET drivers read CAN data and I need some experts advise on this topic. In the frame API, I remember to be able to check that if there is data on the queue of read before reading, with Xnet, I have not found this option. XNET use playback function that will read the entire queue without worrying if the data is present.

This causes me a problem, because I'm constantly calling loop playback function, the data are written to a table of images, then the table will be empty for the next iteration because the reading queue was empty during the second reading.

How can I continually read data from the queue of reading without accidental my output table?

I tried the survey/Deque method, but it works well for me. Is someone can you please tell me what is the best practice for continuously reading the CAN data and treatment using drivers XNET?

    Thank you

    Sam

Looks like you want to use with your berries shift registers. Discover this Subvi, which is part of the expedition OR XNET examples. You can find examples from the Finder example under help > find examples.

Apart from converting it the image into a string, the additions loop the string to an array and use the shift registers to pass the array in the iterations of the loop.

  • Release NiFPGA 7842 DMA FIFO after reading memory

    Hello

I use the card RIO de Ni7842. I've implemented a block for the acquisition of data on my FPGA (target device) and filling a FIFO to transfer the data from the target to the host machine. I've implemented the FIFO to a size of 10 k. The number of samples that I'm gaining is 16 K on three channels simultaneously.

I read the data from the FIFO DMA implemented on a host machine with the support of the C API for the Council. I have setup the FIFO for read in three steps by launching calls to methods:

    -ConfigureFIFO - configure FIFO depth

-FIFO reading - read items in a host DMA - it runs in a loop playback of 1 k datapoints at each iteration (the data type I16's not 2kb which is playing)

    -Stop the FIFO

What is the memory allocated on the host DMA by calling method configureFIFO need to be released explicitly by calling ReleaseFIFO? Note that AcquireFIFO is not called here.

    Please advice.

    Thank you!

In my view, all memory is allocated out during the call to NiFpga_Finalize, but I was not able to find a specific documentation to confirm that.

There is a specific example of FIFO included with the C API of FPGA that my be of interest to you if you have already looked at him.

  • Integration of DAQ devices and touchscreen

I use the data USB-6210 acquisition read the output of a number of linear sensors and convert these tensions to indicate the actual position of the sensor.

The code works fine on my computer, however when it is run on computers with touch screen (TPC-2215), it seems that tensions constantly flicker on and outside. That is to say. they read a normal value for a random period of time (less than one second) and then have a moment where all voltages read 0 then return to their normal values.

I managed to produce a similar behavior on my computer by setting the timeout on my vi is less than the sampling frequency of data acquisition (so that the vi shows a value of 0 where data acquisition is not active and normal blood pressure when it is) however it does not seem to matter how "slow", I do my vi It will always read zero random values.

I managed to filter these values zero on my vi producing an acceptable answer, but I feel that I turn to the top of the stereo to stifle the noisy car so to speak.

Has anyone seen a similar problem?

    Any suggestions?

    Hi m.caron,

Can you post a simple example showing how you have configured your task DAQmx?  I have a couple of thoughts:

If you read 1 samples on a paramount task, you may receive empty rear tables (reading-1 returns just everything that has already been transferred via USB to the host computer).  If this is the case, you must set a fixed size to read and use your time loop playback function (for example instead of putting a function waiting for 100 ms within the loop of your acquisition, it is usually best to explicitly read back 100 ms worth of samples - read a certain number of samples should begin the USB transfer making the data available to DAQmx).

Or maybe reading is time before the data becomes available (you get all the DAQmx Read errors?).  If that were the case, the read function returns an error, and you should be able to treat it accordingly in the software.

I suspect that the inconsistency that you see between computers is probably the result of each using a different USB/host controller driver.  If you read the samples-1 (for example), the schedule of transfers might vary enough between the two systems to create the behavior you're seeing.

  • Extraction of specific numbers of a text file?

I have a text file with repetition of the data sets.  Each is long 4 lines, with line 1 which contains a title, line 2, with a constant that identifies the data, line 3 has a single number and line 4 has two digits corresponding to a max and min.  Is there a way I can extract the line numbers 2, 3 and 4 separately to create a table for each?  So far, I used file text, connected to a loop playback, containing analysis of string function.  I don't know how to choose every 4th line of the file to obtain common aggregate.  I am new to Labview, so any advice is much appreciated!  Thank you.

You can also use text file VI and the Decimate function table 1 d.

As Moderator1983 said that a sample of the data would be useful, min and max, separated by space, tab, comma. Want you as min and max in separate tables? ...

  • Calculation of frame rates of acquisition image using the 7 Format

So I finally got my Basler firewire (IEE1394b) camera to capture images at his rate max (120 fps).

But to do this, I need to use the '7' Format.... which is a bit confusing to me.  When I use the '7' Format, I can't specify the frame (frames per second) rate.  Apparently, you only specify the parameters (length, width, color / mono) of the image and the size of the packets and a few other things.

So, how can I calculate speed?  I need to know exactly how much time elapses between each image.  And it must be constant.  I can't have a different frame rate.

NEITHER told I can calculate the frame rate using this equation:

    That comes from this article.

But I am skeptical because the article also says:

Please note that the time to transfer an image is slightly faster than the time it takes to acquire an image.

People out there can clarify this for me?  Is the frame rate constant?  And then I actually calculate when using size 7?

The rate will be constant.  It won't change from image to image.  The difficult part is to find what it is.

Basler camera manual will tell you how to calculate the frame rate.  There are three different calculations, and gives you the slower pace is one you use.  These calculations are accurate enough, I think.

Another possibility is to measure the frame rate, but that requires several seconds (or minutes) for a measurement precise.  The simplest method is to start a life-long and save a frame in time at the beginning, wait several seconds (or minutes) and save the time of another framework.  Subtract the chassis numbers, subtract the time and divide to get the frame rate.  With a wait of several minutes, it's extremely accurate.  To get the acquisition time, read an image whose value "Next Image", then save the chassis number and read the msec timer immediately after reading.  Using a flat sequence structure is probably the best to ensure that everything happens in the desired order.  If you loop playback, you will see real cadence cadence converge slowly.  Stop it when it is pretty accurate.

In a program I wrote, I controlled the pace by setting the shutter exposure time.  I used the derived formula of the Basler manual for cadence and reversed to calculate the shutter speed.  This only works if you have another way to adjust the brightness levels (opening, lighting, etc.).
