• Loss of function of keyboard on Macbook with Win 7

  Recently, I changed Win XP to Win 7 on my Macbook (required by the work programmes) which succeeded after a few facilities. Anyway, now there is loss of several functions of the keyboard on the Macbook since installing Win 7.   Recently, I noticed a loss in a function keyboard, or maybe Im abusing the term "loss".

  The function in question is the alt + shift + right click (in windows) to change the hardness of my brushes.

  To be fair... the function actually works, however I seem to have lost the visual references of a color indicating

  the hardness of the brush. Ive went into Control Panel and tried to change the color of the red by default to several others, but

  nothing seems to work. I know that I can use shift + right or left support also, but I would really like to find the real

  I've updated to Firefox 8.0. I checked the ability to import bookmarks from Safari and I assumed the old Firefox bookmarks would be maintained. I have no bookmarks. The import of Favorites function has been deleted in the file menu and I can find also not under the library in bookmarks menu drop-down. I would like to know how to import bookmarks from Safari. I don't know what the programming philosophy is behind the change of the location of important items and remove them for automation which does not work, but from the point of view of this user makes Firefox is no longer a viable alternative browser for me.   using Windows 7:

  Just plug in the USB key and then run the SPnnnnn.exe BIOS file downloaded from the Web site drivers HP.

  Assuming that the USB is configured correctly (see below), Setup the BIOS sees the HP_TOOLS partition on the USB, copy of the BIOS and its file signature on the USB key, then run Setup winflash. The system BIOS detects the USB and the partition HP_TOOLS and the BIOS is magically updated.

  I put in place a new USB key as follows:

  1 rename the partition HP_TOOLS from the hard drive to something different like HP_TOOLSbak

  2. Plug the USB

  5. Select the option to create the partition HP_TOOLS

  6. The reader should now be formatted as HP_TOOLS with a record of Hewlett-Packard containing BIOS and BIOSUpdate records. The BIOS folder contains empty current, news and previous records.

  7 download and run the HP System Diagnostics (UEFI) MS drivers HP support page

  8. Select the option to install on a USB key. This will create a SystemDiags folder under the Hewlett-Packard folder

  9. Download and run the HP Notebook System BIOS update for the HP support page drivers, given that the USB is correctly tagged it will install the update of the bios on the USB drive

  10, we have to end up with a HP_TOOLS partition on the USB drive identical to the one that you removed from the hard drive.

  Once you have configured the USB drive, you can upgrade to other versions of BIOS (most recent or oldest) using this drive, as I mentioned above: just plug in the USB and then download and run the BIOS Setup program.

  Best way to test the functionality is to reinstall the original recovery image and test the material with the settings.

• Keys on my laptop Aspire of F5 FN brightness control - 573 stopped working.

  Hello, can someone point me in the right direction to solve the following problem.

  I just bought an Acer Aspire F5-573-52MU computer laptop and a week after the purchase (September 2016) my Fn Hotkey no longer works when I try to increase or decrease the brightness (Fn + left or right), but it still works when I adjust the Volume (Fn + up or down).

  I also did a full factory reset (as suggested by the ACER Support), but nothing helps?

  Needless to say, the screen is very bright and with no control over brightness led to a faster discharge of the battery. If someone had a similar problem on this model, any suggestions to remedy this would be welcome?

  It seems that MS Win10 auto update "could possibly have updated the driver ' creating a loss of the functionality of the shortcut key. This would also explain why my factory reset/install failed fix?

  Replaced the monitor driver manually in the Device Manager by selecting the generic PnP monitor version. PROBLEM SOLVED, Yah!  Although I think that this problem may happen again on the next update (I hope not)!

  Yes, go here and download the correct 8.1 (32 or 64-bit). Burn all files on a CD.

  Remove all previous support software. Then, install the new program.

• I want to move the folder Program Files to another hard drive.

  I have Windows 7 installed on a small primary partition on one of the two hard drives, double boot with Windows XP.  My installation of Windows XP is on a smaller primary partition (like Windows 7) and Program Files folder on a separate drive logic in an extended partition, not on the system drive.  I want to make a folder Program Files of Windows 7 on the same logical drive, Program Files and move the Program Files from Windows 7 folder to that partition on the second hard drive.

  Just an update.  I finally managed to move 'Users' on a separate partition, so my installation of Windows 7 now has Windows on a partition, the files program on a logical drive in an extended partition, and users on a separate logic in this extended partition.

  On the Windows partition, there are junctions that point to the logical drive Program Files and the logical drive of users and editing the registry to set these default locations.  Windows updates proceed normally and successfully.  Program facilities smoothly and work as expected.  I'll post my procedures on my site, I hope that in the near future, after that I tested and confirmed their on my other Windows 7 machines.

  Be forewarned, however, that this separation will break the ability to repair/reinstall (upgrade on-site) Windows 7.  It will stop when he sees that Program Files not are not on the system partition.  However, in my particular case, I depend on third-party software disk for backup, Imaging for the loss of this functionality (repair/reinstall) has no real interest for me.  Restore a disk image is much faster.

  There are other methods posted on the net to separate these main divisions of Windows during the installation. My methods are intended to guide differently to an existing facility while retaining all the features.  And once again, as shown in this thread, Microsoft Support seems to discourage that kind of thing.

• NAC Appliance CAM/CASE

  Question:-we currently have NAC devices 1xCAM-2xCAS, no problems works great. The software is v4.0.5.

  We bought another camera of the NAC to use as the CAM as the current CAM will be lost during a "company cut.

  The NAC again has version V4.1.2.1. This is inconsistent with the CASE.

  If we improve the CASE also to V4.1.2.1, then we suffer loss of current functionality with existing CAM. (this is not the plan). We want the current environment run in parallel.

  Can 'downgrade us' the new 4.0.5 CAM?

  That is a difficult question and I'm not a simple answer.

  You can check the release notes for 4.0.5 and see if your new CAM h/w is supported, if so you can recreate the image. But unless you can find a clear statement that 4.0.5 is supported on the new CAM so I wouldn't run the risk.

  You can also find problems in trying to control a CASE of two cams.

  I think you can look at some downtime to upgrade of your CAs.

  Could you make a backup of the CAM 4.0.5 and reatore 4.1.2.1 CAM? Probably not.
