I reinstalled the drivers from the toshiba site, but despite everything I do, it still shows no device.

Ive tried reinstalling the software Synth as well, but having said that I need to run the re-installation of synth program. But there is no directory on the drive for what Yamaha and no entry in the Add/Remove for yamaha synth window or in the start menu.

    Hello

It seems that there is a problem with his Yamaha card driver after the installation of the Microsoft Windows XP SP2.

Seems that you need to update the audio driver of Yamaha!

After a short investigation, I found this site:

  • Loss of sound after IDT High Definition Audio Codec update.

HP Support Assistant says that a new driver IDT HI Def Codec is available, so I downloaded and installed 6.10.6417.0, after which I have no audio output. I don't know which driver version was installed before the upgrade, but I have since downloaded and installed 6.10.6330.0 and rebooted but still have no sound. The device is activated and if Windows says that it works correctly (which isn't, but then it is Windoz).

I'm now totally at a loss as to how to proceed otherwise that a clean installation of Windows that, for obvious reasons, I'd rather not do.

    System details:

HP Envy 14-2002ea Beats Edition runing Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit SP1.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp53001-53500/sp53281.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

    When finished, stop the laptop.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f9 to load the default values (sometimes it is f5, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

My laptop Satellite seems to have decided it has audio SPDIF and with that, I lost all sound.

I tried to install the latest driver and search for errors Device Manager, but the only solution that worked was to restore the computer to an earlier point and disable automatic updates.

With the updates turned off, I turned on my laptop to find again once he shows his SPDIF and eventually no sound.

There is a slight crackling of speakers that occurs randomly and intervals inoften.

Please help as I am at the end of my home

    Hello

May I ask what laptop do you have and what operating system you use?
    It would be useful!

    Regarding the sound issue.
In your case, I recommend to check the settings in Control Panel-> audio playback.

You should see the playback devices (speakers, spdif, etc.)
The speakers should be set as the default device.
The S/PDIF should be used if you connect to the laptop to an external device, such as TV, hifi, etc.

  • Intermittent loss of sound on Toshiba 32BL505B

    Could someone help me please.

I bought a TV flat screen 32 inch Toshiba (model No. 32BL505B) about 14 months ago. For the last two weeks, we struggled to use the game.

Everything looks ok, for the first time, but after that the sound clicks the wide every few minutes.
To get the sound back TV must be turned off and on again.
It lasts a few minutes before it turns off again.

It's what makes the TV unusable.
I went to the Toshiba on the recommendation that they were a good reliable TV because this isn't something that I can afford to replace easily.

I'm very anxious to get to the bottom of the problem and would like assistance with this. I feel that 14 months is acceptable for the life of a TV, especially one which cost me £240.00 and the other which is not used on a basis of contant.

Maybe it's not a large sum of money to some people, but it was at great cost to my family. I really appreciate your help on this.

    > I don't feel that 14 months is acceptable for the life of a TV, especially one which cost me £240.00 and the other which is not used on a basis of contant.

I agree with you, but I think you will also agree with me that the hardware problems can happen no matter how old a device is. Televisions, but also other electronic components (computers, game consoles, smartphones, etc.) could begin to malfunction even if they are new.

I had some devices from different manufacturers in my life (laptops, PS3) who started to malfunction after a few months of use. But I always buy a new extended warranty where the devices begin to malfunction after the warranty expired.
So in this case, everything has been fixed for free.

Of course his pity if something happens like that, but I think it's nothing unusual in the world of big wide electronics.

However, in some countries (e.g. Germany), products are covered by a 24 month warranty and where the product start to malfunction, the dealer undertakes to fix the product.
Therefore, you should check this option too.

  • Pavilion 14-v060Br: Remove audio beats without loss of sound quality

As many customers know, audio beats produced distortions and can be very annoying.

After a lot of research here, I could remove from Beats Audio and install generic drivers, but then I lost the quality of the sound and equalization that I would have with original drivers.

I would like to know if there is no driver, perhaps from a laptop with a similar material, which can give me back and quality equalization, without the distortions of Beats Audio.

HP shoud really solve this problem.

    Only, I solved the problem.

I use a HP Pavilion and the soundboard is Realtek, so if your soundboard is an IDT, the solution is different, but I found many topics on the problem of the IDT and I think it was has been resolved.

    Here we go:

1 uninstall all the drivers, you need to me probably do it in different ways: try to uninstall by ' Panel > uninstall a program > > Unistall Realtek High Definition Audio ' then open the Device Manager and go to "Audio, video and game controllers" and uninstall it too. Probably, there is two options, uninstall both of them. If there are more, uninstall all audio drivers you find. Edit: I forgot one thing, if you have the Support of HP software installed, unistall it too.

    2. do NOT restart the computer, if you do this, windows will install the generic drivers.

    3. go to 'http://www.realtek.com.tw/ > downloads > High Definition Audio Codecs (software) "and download one of the first two options (32 or 64-bit, with 103161 k or 128412 k files). Install and reboot the computer. I'm not sure but maybe you have to restart the computer two times.

    4. the Realtek Control Panel manage will start with windows and equalization will be back, too, the Equalization of the volume that distorts the sound will be gone, but you can check or uncheck in the control panel.

    5. If the Equalization of the volume or any other effect is always on and its reduction of the quality of the sound, the right click on the sound icon in the taskbar and then click "Playback devices", then click right-click in one of the devices and select "show disabled devices", then click on 'Speakers' with the right button , then 'properties' and then 'improvements', there you can disable or enable whatever you want, including equalization EQ and volume (witch kills the sound when active).

    6. what a shame you HP.

    I hope it helps.

  • TECRA 9100 - loss of sound, WLAN, BT, and SD function

    Hello

during the operation of a USB - HDD and mp3 player on my Tecra 9100, abruptly stopped, power to the WLAN-, Sound-, Bluetooth, SD - Card.
For example: no sound microphone, WLAN switch does not work, reports of Bluetooth: no power supply.

On this issue, I heard more often in some forums. My warranty has expired. Regular service is more expensive than a Tecra 9100 of second hand.

Can anyone give some advice? Which piece can be damaged, motherboard, I I/O-board?

    Post edited by: apco

    It sounds really bad.
As far as I know there is only one Board and if something is wrong with a part of the motherboard only management as a whole must be replaced!
As you have already said this replacement is not very cheap, because the jury is one of the expansive laptop parts.

Without diagnostic tests, no one will be able to provide a just and final diagnosis.
That's why I recommend you contact a technician from laptop to a cheque

After these checks you can find out more details on the breakdown and could decide what you what to do; buy a second hand laptop or try to repair the old Tecra

    Good luck

  • X 240 output loss of sound quality

In fact, it happened about 2 months ago. The sounds from the speaker, as well as the sound when I used a helmet was just not right, barely no matter what low frequency noise. At the beginning I can fix this by reinstalling the audio driver. Then after a week or two the same problem would happen again, and I had to reinstall the driver. After several times, reinstall the audio driver cannot resolve the problem more. Besides if I plug the headphones once I cut the laptop, it should re-enable automatically right? Well, this isn't the case, and it is always silent. This can be a problem with the sound card hardware?

    You can try to

-Open Manager Realtek HD Audio in the Control Panel,

    -Open advanced settings, the device

-change from one mode to another, aplly and check if the problem has disappeared.

-change back and check if the problem has disappeared?

    If this does not work,

-Right-click on the icon of white audio in the status bar,

    -playback devices,

-Select the current device and open the properties.

    -tab improvements,

-Disable all improvements (even if none are selected)?

In addition, sometimes you can reset the driver by removing device in Device Manager and refreshing.

He does not physically delete the driver file and reload just return, with the default settings.

  • HP Pavilion dv7-6b86us - loss of sound with new updates

I just got this laptop this week. I've updated the software as recommended by HP Support Assistant. I have now lost all the sounds from my laptop. I tried to get back to the time before that I updated and it did not work. I tried several methods to try to recover my sound without result. Is this a driver problem or a corroded possible audio card? What should I do to try to get my audio to the top?

Click on the link below. Enter your number of product as that indicated on the Service tag on the bottom of the laptop (can be under the battery). You can also get the product number by pressing Fn + ESC key. After you enter the PN, click Next, then choose the software & Drivers. On the next page use the menu drop down to select your (probably Windows 7 64-bit) operating system. A list will fill with the drivers. Download & save the last Audio driver.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/siteHome?cc=us&LC=en

Go into the Control Panel, programs & features - software uninstall IDT. Reboot the laptop and install using the downloaded file.

If still no sound, try a hard reset, works sometimes. Disconnect all external devices first.

2 - Press the power button for 30 seconds

3 reinstall only the power cord for the first start.

  • Complete loss of sound on PC save to MPEG.

I use Sony Handycam video files as my source; I get the sound fine when you work on them, because I am breaking approx. download clips of 30 minutes in two parts for Facebook, and timing is important.

Everything is golden, I save the files... (I used part = > computer = > Mpeg)

And when I go on reading to check that they are very good, no sound.

I'm currently looking for a windows media player, record, but it looks like it will take more than an hour to save.

Can anyone enlighten me on what I can do to keep the sound when I save?

Can you be more specific on the camcorder that source this video? Is it on tape, hi-def, HDD or a DVD camcorder? Alone, it makes a huge difference.

Secondly, you may not be able to tell if your clip will just play or not with Windows Media Player. Even if everything goes well with your release, Media Player may not codecs to play the sound or video. You would be better to test with the DVD drive on your computer software.

And finally, if you intend to publish your video on Facebook, MPEG is probably not the best format to use anyway. A WMV or MOV Quicktime file would be much better for display online.

So, if you get good results with the WMV, you're now out, this could be your best solution in any case.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Whenever random strange behaviors creep, the best thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, this one suffers memory leaks and other... with a hard reboot is the best remedy. Some have taken to do this on a recurring basis as a preventive measure.
