  See if the configuration of security settings Internet Explorer to allow windows initiated by scripts without size or position constraints helps you in this case.

  1. open Internet Explorer.
  2. click on tools.
  3. click on Internet Options.
  4. click on security.
  5. click on custom level.
  6. scroll down until you find this setting:

  It is not necessary to uninstall anything, especially since you are not using a version 4beta. And there are serious risks of losing important data that you store if you do not remove older versions with a lot of attention.

  Step 1:

  As you said in your post that you have installed and have completed level 1, it seems that the installation is corrupt. Install the game on another system (Windows 7) and check if the problem persists or try with another CD and check if you are able to install the game.

  I suggest for Rayman 2 to uninstall and then reinstall and check. Follow step 2.
