  I suggest that to contact dell about your problem

  You should be able to get the recovery disc of them who won't need any input on your part

  I need to replace the hard drive in my Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop. The current I is Seagate 2.5 ", 160 GB 5400 RPM and. The space must be 500 GB or less. I prefer Seagate Momentus Thin ST500LT012 500 GB at 5400 RPM. This would be compatible with my laptop. Otherwise, what are you kindly suggest another replacement for this drive.
