digitization of photo negatives

I have a photosmart all-in-one B110 series.    Model number: CN245.   Serial number: CN15J4JB02

It is possible to scan my negatives photo with this product.   If so, how.   I'm a complete novice with all this.

Thanking you in advance,

ohdear.

No, it is not possible to scan negatives with this product.  However, the product range Scanjet offer scanners that will scan negatives such as the Scanjet G4010 and G4050.

Photosmart C410a is able to convert negatives photo photos on the computer?  Please notify.

    Hello

No it's not, you need a unit with a scanner that is capable of scanning media transparant. In other words, that there an extra light in the cover. Last HP printer that had this feature was the c8180. Not sure about the only units of scanners. I do now there are special scanners out there just for that and they are not expensive.

  • 35mm negative scanning?

Hello.  I recently bought a Canon Printer/Scanner opportunity hoping to digitize my 35mm negatives and work with them in Lightroom.  I imported after scanning at 300 dpi (high resolution that I can scan with), but the files are too small in LR.  I am unable to get them to a regular size photo.

In addition, the scanned negatives are a bit dark.  Also, should I put a white screen on top of the negative during the scan?  I'll do some research in the meantime.  THX.

Yes, it's good enough for the digitization of printed things. But as you noted, scanning of negatives does not produce an image large enough to do much with. The DPI setting really has nothing to do with the quality as much as it affects the size of the final image. If you can find a way to scan your negatives 2400 dpi, you will find that your images will be quite large so that you can work with them. The image itself will not be 300 dpi. The image will simply be the pixel dimensions. And the definition of the DPI is what affects the size of the image will be in pixels.

After looking at the description for your printer/scanner, I don't think he has the ability to scan negatives. I now understand what you thought putting a sheet of paper on the negative. But that's not really going to help. If you want to scan negatives and slides, you need to do a scanner that is designed to do. This normally involves having things built into the lid of the scanner. I could be wrong, but I do not.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you want to scan negatives and possibly slide, it would be necessary for you to have a scanner that has the built-in capability. A typical scanner you have does not have this capability.

  • Digitization of photographs

    HI guys,.

A question about the digitization of photos in iPhoto: maintaining the quality of the original photographs is paramount. So what kind of scanner should I seek to buy?

    Thanks for your help.

    All my best

    Wuidar

It is a personal choice - I found that all the scanners that I was including printer/scanner/fax combo devices have been very well - more great key use sRGB and DPI settings

If you want the 'best' then you'll spend thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars, but for the most part, people who are not required

  • Photos disappeared from the list of pictures; can still be found through faces.

Mac OS X 10.7.5.  Bought a separate individual photo digitizer, scanned photos of Scandisk, inserted Scandisk for iMac and managed to import all the photos of 60.  Use iPhoto to rotate, publishing, culture, label and face to identify all the photos; no problems occurred.  Returned to scan a photo, and when this picture was imported, pictures of 70 prerequisites disappeared photo under the library list and the last import of 12 months.  I can always find pictures singularly under Faces, faces, I've identified, but I can't find the pictures on a list.  The pictures are not in the trash.  Can't find pictures in the Finder or in any list.  The photos seem to be on the computer somewhere, because if I remember a name and go to the Faces, I can find a photo at a time.  How can I find photographs and reconnect?

I finished her rebuild thumbnails, database repair and rebuild the control/Option/start iPhoto database, select these options.  He has not fixed the problem.

Moved from Feedback Forum Windows pictures and video Forum.

The link you provided high see "How can I recover my photos on my hard drive" is a dead link, it goes to a page that does not exist. .

And this isn't what I ask... at least I think that's not.
I bought and installed the software from Microsoft called "Microsoft Research why 2008".   I created several members of their family (4) collages using photos, they sent, and I.
I need one of my pictures yesterday for something else and when I went back to its original location it was not there.
That why 2008 take pictures when the collage was created, recorded and sent.   I can't find the pictures I used in the last collage.

    (1) try the system restore to the point before you use the software to edit

    (2) earlier I advised to do a search of the drive you are saving the files on (usually drive c :) - look at TIFF files or .jpg, .png or .psd

If RAW files are saved, try to find these formats... RAW files are similar to photo negatives

If you have not moved the picture, it should be in the original file. Have you opened the software MS Research why and searched files containing the picture?  When you use this type of software, always make a copy of the photo.

  • Change of negatives to print on HP Compaq and printer 5520

I have more than 300 negative 110 and 35 mm that I want to make prints.  Can I do it myself with 5520 of HP and Compaq Presario printer?  How?  (Or if I should buy a different device?)

    Hi markydob,

    Welcome to the HP forums!

I see that you are looking for a way to turn the negatives into digital files, from where you can print photos with your Photosmart 5520. I will certainly do my best to explain what you need to do this

Unfortunately the Photosmart 5520 scan photo negatives. Actually, I should say it can not turn them into photos, it would be just negative scanner and you would have a digital version of your negatives. What you will need to get a scanner of negatives/slides, as explained in this Post on the CNET Forum or you can contact local camera/photo shops to see if they can help you in this business as well.

Hope this helps and hope you have a great weekend!

  • Cannot view my pictures in Windows - coming souvenir photo gallery upward with a pink screen!

Recently when I go to in my photo folders and try to view an of my my photos or images it is endlessly with a pink full screen with a slight preview of the photo (a bit like a photo negative!) Have you tried to change the color and other levels out a bit of luck. This was never a problem until a week ago. Have just got a new Philips monitor 190SW, it would have something to do with it? Any help or ideas on what could cause this problem or how to fix this would be appreciated.

    Hi Dave D

Discovered that the problem was with the new monitor. The problem occurs because an incorrect color profile is used for the device to monitor in color management. When Windows Live Photo Gallery uses the incorrect color profile to manage settings of color for the images, the image may not appear as expected. Note: Microsoft Paint and Microsoft Windows Picture and Fax Viewer does not use color profiles to manage the parameters of color for the images.

I had to do the following (instructions for anyone else having a similar problem). For Windows Vista only.

    1. click on START, type color management in the Search box and press ENTER.

    2. in the color management dialog box, click to select the use my settings for this device check box.

    3. in the list of profiles associated with this device , click the color profile you want to remove and then click RemoveNote if you receive a warning message, click Yes.

    4. click close, and then restart the computer.

Hope this helps someone else with a similar problem.

    El Gringo.
