  • Hyperion shared services?

    Hi all

I installed and configured Hyperion Essbase 11.1.1.3 with Shared Services.
SS, I am unable to configure the Essbase roles for users (not showing the essbase server roles available).
I am able to see SS-> servers-> APS_ServerName APS, if I click on APS_ServerName, I get the error * user is not allowed for this action *.
I have connected to the art using admin.

Can you please let me know am I missing something?
How can we solve this problem?

    Thank you

First question is do you have converted essbase mode of shared services, if the answer is no, log in to EAS.
Expand the server essbase you want to convert (assuming that it is already added to EAS)
Click right security > outsource users
    For more information, go to:-http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/eashelp/sec_mode.htm

  • migration of users to 9.2.1 to 11.1.1.4 Hyperion Shared Services

    Hi all
I used CSSExport.bat to export users of Hyperion 9.2.1 shared services, when iam trying to import users with CSSImport.bat its throwing error log4j, leaving no error on newspapers. I asked an application with Oracle, they said that using CSSImport.bat will not work in Hyperion 11.1.1.4.and we do not use LCM too. At this point they say 11.1.1.4 is a maintenance application so that we cannot do something in this part.

Can I have any other option to workaround.
    appriciate your help

I find the best way to get used to the format required for LCM of first provision a user/group in shared services and then to perform an export of LCM, will give you an idea of the required format.
Change the output files with your new setting and then test the Import FCL through shared Services, if it works then create an XML migration when running step by step through the stages of SSP and then you should be fine using the command line utility.

  • How to export users and groups Active Directory of hyperion shared services

    Hello

We are on 11.1.2.3 and in a situation where we need to export all users and groups of shared services, including the native directory and Active Directory users and groups.

Current method of LCM export only the NativeDirectory user and groups. -is this correct?

Is there a way to export all users and groups including NativeDirectory and ActiveDirectory?

    Please suggest.

    Thank you

I don't think that there is a way to make the groups and users to the AD, and I wouldn't.

You need to connect the next AD system and pull on the users and groups in this way.

  • Hyperion Shared Services - security in excel file

    Hi all

Is there a way we can get security information in a format that excel services, and then we can play with this excel file. Once the necessary changes are made, we import it referring to shared services.

We use active directory for user maintenance.

    Kind regards

They are stored in the application of planning and the steps of Shared Services, the access permissions for the export of the planning applications using LCM or exportsecurity utility.

  • Hyperion Shared Services backup

    Hi all

We take the backup of Domain.xml, CSS.xml, slide.properties, WorkflowEngine.properties, manage_data.properties, openldap-data & slapd.conf. Can someone let me know that contains these files and the extent of it.

    Kind regards
    Kris.

Oh, if you have read the backup guide and want to know why you want to save these files? Have you looked at them in a text editor?

If you read the three points at the top of the section Shared Services backup, you will see that these files are:
    * Shared Services application server configuration files
    * Configuration of OpenLDAP database file
    * All data and logs of OpenLDAP files

You have found the prospect of the noninstaller on these files, so you can see what others have to say on the subject.

Domain.XML - Looks like a configuration file for common Services, it might be important: http://docs.sun.com/source/819-0221-10/crdomxml.html
CSS.xml - external authentication configuration file
Slide.Properties - resembles a kind of Apache related to Shared Services configuration file could it be important: http://jakarta.apache.org/slide/wck.html
WorkflowEngine.properties - another Shared Services configuration file (I see a pattern)
manage_data. Properties - even once, the SSP, this one looks like a server name and port for the formidable and I hope really dead HUB
OpenLDAP-data - a folder containing xml OpenLDAP database files
slapd.conf - main configuration file of LDAP daemon. See: http://www.faqs.org/docs/securing/chap26sec213.html

  • How to reset the lost password admin

How to reset the password for the admin on my mac?

Restart your mac and hold ⌘R immediately. Keep until the Apple Logo appears. This may take some time for your mac start. Once this is the case, select Terminal in utilities > Terminal to the Menu bar above. Once the terminal appears, type

    ResetPassword

A password reset Wizard will appear. Select the appropriate account, and enter the new password. Then tap Save. Then, click the apple logo in the corner, and tap on choose Startup disk. Click on Macintosh HD and press ENTER.

You should now be able to use your new admin password.

    Good luck.
