  If you purchased CS5, you should have the case (with serial number) and the original dvd or if you have purchased online, this serial number will be in your adobeID profile.

  If you have downloaded CS5 a few years back, you reinforced the installer?

  The serial number should work - contact adobe if you activation problems - it could be you have CS5 installed on more than two computers, the license only allows two facilities - if you are trying to install on a third computer, you will see a prompt to disable the software on other computers.

  Yes. After MUCH debate of live chat (the first rep was very dismissive) - and then talk to the contractor. It turns out a person with a keygen used my serial no as well.

  I then had to prove that I bought with $ via the ancient recipes of Paypal + photos + screencaps. They then unblocked my account and issued me a new serial number.

  I upgraded to CS5 Design premium creative suite design standard CS6 (which adobe online store said told me that I could for a such upgrade) and by typing my series CS6 and then to qualify the update the CS5 series he told me that he was NOT a product of qualiying.

  I called Support and they told me to click on the yellow field and give me the number. I got a code to type and it worked until about 30 days later... so Acrobat X Pro and ceased to distill from.

  I ran the Acrobat cleaner and did a reinstall of only Acrobat X Pro... He started... but prompted me to inter my serial number... I did, but then I came up with this message:

  Other programs cs6 was still installed, only acrobat X pro has been removed. And guess what... Also, I got the message that the series has been revoked on Indesign, illustratoer, photoshop, and bridge.

  So here I am... once again.

  Please hurry.

  I called support and they fixed with a new serial number.

  Unfortunately, the serial number is essential to be able to use the software.  Without it you have nothing that links the software for you as an owner... therefore, it is always best to save your software (software).

  The only other thing I can offer is to direct you to information to find your serial number.  If tram you have all that then listed you are probably out of luck in obtaining other assistance in the forums.  Adobe support (chat or by telephone) will be your only hope.

  I currently have LR2. I bought the LR6 upgrade for $79. But I can't find my serial number for my LR2 so I can install LR6. I is not through Adobe LR2, so it is not listed under my Adobe account.   So, for those who find themselves in a similar situation, here is how I myself am found things. I must admit, this is essentially information found and restored on the internet.

  1 lost my serial number for Lightroom 2

  2. I bought LR2 on DVD at a retailer, not a download, there is no track record on my Adobe account.

  3. Fortunately, because I have not registered the software, I opened my version of LR2, went to 'help' and 'save '. All fields are empty, so I knew that I didn't record it when I bought it originally. So I registered. When registration make sure you use your Adobe ID email address.

  4. After registering my LR2, I went to my Adobe account, and my version of LR2 appeared as well as the serial number.

  HOWEVER... If CS6 has been installed BY an employee of the University, I THINK that you do not actually have the software, and you will not be able to activate the software because you are not the owner and that you do not have the ID of origin used for initial installation and activation

  I had CS 4 Design Premium Student Edition installed on my computer and a cs 5.5 update installed. I reformatted my computer and updated to a more recent operating system. Later, I tried to re - install my software and realized I lost my serial number. I can't install the update to cs 5.5 without using a previous version of CS installed. Does anyone know of a solution to this? I tried to call Adobe and they instructed me to use the chat. I'm still waiting on the cat, but I thought I would post this as I wait to see if anyone has any suggestions or ideas. I'd rather not upgrade to creative cloud again.
