Low profile USB3.0 PCI Desktop Inspiron years 620.

I posted a thread on Inspiron years 620 (SFF) in the OFFICE of Dell forum.  But I think I'll better exposal here.

I would like to know the consequences of buying a card of pci low-profile USB3.0 (with 3 external & 1 interal ports) for the years 620?

The power supply will be damaged due to the addition of the USB3.0 card?  I know that the power supply in the 620 years wear a lower voltage.
What is harmful to the motherboard?

Anyone have problems after adding USB3.0 to 620 years?

I think to get the 620 years but I want to add a USB3.0 card.  Also, due to the limitation of space, I have no choice but the only 620 years.

Thank you all for your help.

The card will not fit.  Only low-profile video cards fit the slim towers.  One you want is this one HERE if you want to only the 7750 HD.  Otherwise, you can get the HD 6670 HERE.

  • Inspiron years 620 - PSU

I am a user of Dell for a long time, currently I have an inspiron years 620.

All started with a simple idea to get better control, after which I got the idea that I should use a better video card.

However, to my surprise, the years 620 inspiron has a totally inadequate power supply, with a small 300W.

I have never encountered this problem with my old dell PC (I admit, none of them where the model 'slim') so I have contacted Dell, first cat but redirected to phone Dell Support.

I had a misunderstanding with dell customer support, asking what kind of PSU I should ask for in the shop. "" ATX "was the answer and so I ran into the problem years 620, next the PSU is a micro-ATX.

Mind you, I got to give my TAG number for my setup should have known everything in the phone. I also asked why there was just a 300 Watt power supply in the PC as this force just about any that the upgrade of a videocard in the same problems, meet the dell support simple: "If you have chosen a better video card you would have better food automatically."

I felt a bit silly for not checking my PC earlier, but this manipulation of support was neither useful nor correct.

Right now I have 2 choices.

Either I find a power supply micro-ATX affordable (500 Watt) or waive the cover Dell migrate in a new box (and switch to ATX PSU.)

    Please advice

Who knows a good micro-bloc of POWER or the casing (type/model) best suited to migrate all the components of the Inspiron 620 years?

Are delivered almost all standard of the computer with a power of 300 watts provide still other manufacturers unless you buy Dell XPS models.  To my knowledge, the 620 years model only has a 250 watt power supply.  I heard not all slim models that come with a 300 Watt power supply.  These are only the mini towers.  The first question would be what video card you want to upgrade to?  You may not replace the power supply according to what you are looking to get.  Some video card manufacturers suggest a 400 watt for a particular video card power when they work very well on a 250 watt power supply.  Also, if you have the slim case, you can use profile video cards and the best card you can get is the 7750 HD HERE that others have used on their units of 250 watts.  Another video card which is very good and would not cost so much is the HD 6570 HERE.

  • NVIDIA Geforce GTX 770 on a Dell Inspiron years 620

    Hello everyone,

I have a Dell Inspiron of the 620 years and my question is this: can I put a Nvidia Geforce GTX 770 in my PC?

    Thank you.

You had already posted the R9 280 X and I said that these cards full size do not fit in the 620 years.  The best card you can get for this system is the low profile Sapphire HD 7750 shown here if you can still find available.  If you are looking for a high-end gaming card, you will need to buy a new computer, because high-end gaming cards simply do not match your case.  If you want cards like the GTX 770 or R9 280 X, I suggest you build your own computer.

  • OptiPlex 760 PSES - 'low profile' PCIe?

    Hello

I want to add an audio PCIe interface to my SFF 760. Pc specifications list the PCIe location as "low profile", but I don't know how low profile means here. How can I determine if the card I want will be good or not for this low profile PCIe slot please?

    Thank you

    Ric

Never mind. I've found a workaround. There is a usb-powered interface that will allow me to be driven from the 760's monitor, no lack of usb ports on the 760.

    Best thanks,

    Ric

I think I have a small Tower because it doesn't have a lot of empty space inside. Is it possible to have a card not in the Tower?

The GTX 750 will not work.  Only low-profile cards will be suitable to the 660 s.  You also only a 220 Watt power supply.  I run the HD 6570 HERE in 660 s who does well enough with the games.  Even if you can still find them (overpriced) because they have been abandoned, the 7750 HD HERE worked in the 660 s and was the best card you could get.  The Sapphire is available only used on ebay, but other brands are still there.  The HD 6570 would be higher than your Intel HD graphics and for the price can be your best buy.  You cannot run the cards outside your Tower.

  • HP Elite 8300 SFF: his low profile card

I have an Elite SFF 8300 and am looking for a card low profile with coaxial output so that I can use it on my sound game of boston that has a coaxial input. I tried without success.

    Thank you

Thank you for the information, @PeterHB.

Here are the system requirements for the card:

    The system configuration required
    • 1.0 GHz Intel / AMD CPU
    • 1 GB OF RAM
    • A free PCIe slot
    • A free location for the digital expansion
    • Internet connection for downloading drivers and software
    • Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7/8

The card is compatible with Win 7.  However, I have highlighted in orange system requirements you must check to ensure that they are available.  Apart from that, I think that the card should work.  I always offer the check with the Technical Support of the manufacturer is a good choice.  They are the experts on their products.

  • Z Turbo Drive 512GB (G3G89AT): support low-profile for Z Turbo Drive 512 GB in Z230 SFF Workstation

Does anyone know how to get support low-profile needed to install a Turbo Z Drive 512 GB in a Z230 SFF workstation?

I realized this quick Spec HP card for my desktop which is located at the following link:

    http://WWW8.HP.com/h20195/v2/GetDocument.aspx?DocName=c04123122

I bought a kit of option (Nr G3G89AT) directly from HP by phone. I asked the seller HP if the package included support low-profile required for installation of this card in my small Z230 form factor. I mentioned that I thought HP might decided to not include this support as a cost reduction measure. After consultation with someone on the side of HP technology, my sales contact told me that the half-height support has been included in the kit. Unfortunately, when the kit arrived, he did not understand the necessary low-profile support, although the instructions for the kit explain how to remove the flange full height and replace it with the mid-height. I learn that HP doesn't have a part number for this support, it is not possible to order one of HP.

The missing support wouldn't be a problem if the positioning of the screw half height brackets holes has been standardized. I learned from a search on eBay that the separation between the mounting holes on the maps of more than half-size is 54 mm, but the HP Z Turbo card has a separation of 51 mm between the holes. Therefore, I can't use a generic support for this card from HP.

When I bought this kit option at HP, I had already purchased the same kit of Alinc Technologies in Austin, Texas. Alinc kit arrived without a low-profile support, but, because the wrong Bill was included in the delivery and the envelope holding the card opened, I assumed half-height support had been lost. To find out how to get support low-profile required for map of Alinc and whether this map was under warranty, I opened the number of cases of HP support: 4752621264. It is through this support effort that I ended up talking to a person of HP sales. I bought the second card Z Turbo Drive with the idea that I would use the first map as a spare. The SFF Z230 workstation only accepts one of these cards, I can use a single half-height for both cards support.

If someone has the necessary low-profile support, I would be interested in buying it. Of course, I can change a generic low-profile with a hacksaw and epoxy support, but it's a very ugly solution.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Thoth

In order to get support low-profile necessary to use the Z Turbo 512 GB drive card in a workstation Z230 SFF, order must be for HP Nr G3G89AA (part No. 759771-001) instead of HP Nr G3G89AT.  The card supplied under the two numbers of HP product is Samsung P/N: MZHPU512HCGL - 000: 1, which is equipped with a flange full-height.

URL for HP Nr G3G89AA: http://h30094.www3.hp.com/product/sku/10782034/mfg_partno/G3G89AA

The tab "what's in the box" for this web page does not mention the inclusion of low-profile support, so I recommend that this product be ordered by phone and that the part number and product number is appropriate.  The representative business of HP needs to understand that the card is for a station of small form factor, then it will ensure that the low-profile support will be in the area.

I would like to thank the staff of HP support for the courteous manner in which they dealt with this problem.

  • Info on the new desktop Inspiron Gamer Edition (Intel)

If anyone has or finally gets the new Inspiron 3650 (preference model intel but AMD model useful information also) could please send the info on this, specifications, etc. seems to be little or not yet, and I plan to turn in a htpc.

What type of power supply, how many watts?

How much room for the GPU? Full height or low profile?

How many fans? just the fan back?

Is it possible to a configuration of disk HARD 2 If you remove the hard drive?

Also the ram listed on the official site is DDR3L 1600 MHz... shouldn't be DDR4 2133 MHz?

Any info on any of these questions would be greatly appreciated by me :)

  • Power supply N6700B Low Profile pilot backward compatibility

    Hello

I've recently updated the instrument for the Agilent N6700B Low Profile Power Supply drivers on my system. I run LabView 8.2.1. For some reason, the new LabView VIs have all their VISA Instrument inputs and outputs incompatible with my previous thread and definitions of port at the top level VI. We don't know yet what exactly is different, but I need to remove the wire and the port at the top level VI and re-create it. Do this for all my screws where this driver is used is very tedious...  Is this really a compatibility problem, and this is known?  No work around available?

Unfortunately, I do not know what was the previous version of the driver N6700 overall.

One thing I noticed and found strange: on a separate system where the pilot works fine (which I assume is the old driver), the pilot of VI property indicates the revision number is 104. On the newly updated system, the same driver VI property indicates that the revision number is 16. Does this mean my update failed?

    Thank you

    Benoit

It was the source of the problem. I reinstalled the VISA type instead, and not everything works perfectly.

    Thank you!

  • I hConfusion between low profile and map regular video

So I have a HP Pavilion p6604f and now im considering buying a new video card to upgrade the shabby 4200 NVS. So I was wondering if a low profile card was good enough, or if a regular size Graphic card will suffice. If you need the specification, they are on futureshop:

    http://www.FutureShop.ca/en-CA/product/Hewlett-Packard-HP-Pavilion-AMD-Athlon-II-220-dual-core-deskt...

    Hello

Yes this video card is compatible with your pc with one problem that is feeding.

It is available on newegg canada

    http://www.Newegg.ca/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814121397

This card requires power supply 300 Watt, you will need to replace your power supply 250 Watt.

If you consider replacing the power supply, you can buy much better than this (depending of course your badget) map

Since then the sound has stopped working. anyway to uninstall the audio portion of the video card and use the original computer sound card? or any other suggestions to have the computer see the new sound portion of the new video card? Thank you

    Hello:

You go into the BIOS, select the Advanced Options menu.

Go to device configuration menu and there will be an embedded audio setting.

It will be set to Disabled.  Change the setting to "Enabled".  Save the setting by pressing the F10 key, then again when you exit the BIOS here.

After you restart, you will have the on-board audio back.
