• How can I resize the photo frames to adjust photos cropped to Blurb photo book?

  I want to put the pictures as a photo using Lightroom book and the Blurb photo book module. Question: I do not see how to drag the sides of the photo frame individually to fit my photos, which are often cropped produced long skinny shots or those wider than the usual 4:3 format (not to make the frame of the photo, but to make the image go up the photo. I can easily do in Apple Aperture, but cannot see how to do in Lightroom in the Blurb module. I contacted directly the text of presentation that told me to contact Adobe - and this seems to be the only way to communicate with them. Help, please!

  It's actually pretty simple, so, of course, I understood your request with precision.

  It is possible for the two control the zoom and the frame of the size on a page.

  Let's say you want the entire image on the page to a size different from the default.

• LR4 - book Module - none of the custom formats?  Automatic layout works only on odd pages?  Bug reports.  Thoughts.

  I'm a photographer wedding and Portrait Professional & thought it may be useful to others & Adobe to share some thoughts and questions.

  I just ordered LR4 yesterday 3/7, as soon as I saw he is out =) I'll have the software delivered to me, but in the meantime, I downloaded the trial version of the LR4 which I started to play with today.  BTW is identical to the full version trial version but active only for 30 days?  Or some of its limited features?

  I had a few questions about the book module.  Some of them I think that are bugs.

  • Is it possible to enter in custom formats?  I don't see that see there is an option for 5 sizes and impossible to find another option.
  • I tested the automatic layout function.  It automatically layout, but only on odd pages, even pages are left in white.  Could not find a way to settle this.  (Updated, I like the white page feature, it gives extra room for manoeuvre to change the page layouts and for me it's easier to delete a page that Add.)
  • When you add favorite layouts I can't add page spreads to my favorites.
  • When I press tab to get rid of the side windows, I can't scroll further down in the book.
  • The navigation on the left and right arrow buttons do not directly work in the main screen.

  It would be nice to have more control over preferences in the book such as the particular custom formats Module.  As it is, it feels unusually restrictive.  That said I am very excited by the possibilities that this may cause.  From now on I'd still certainly the final layout in PS, but I hope I do the initial design approximate layout using this new book module.  Looks like it could save a lot of time and be much easier to do this step in PS.

  Let me first, I'm not an expert on ledger. Yes, I used it for a while, but many components of the module are much too dark for my taste. In fact, you have identified certain aspects that left me scratching my head for the months, not hours or days.

  1. Custom formats is not directly supported at the present time, but I understand that users will be able to create their own page/models using Adobe Illustrator. I can't say when this facility will be available well.
  2. To change a page layout (left/right pages, etc.), you need open the Preset automatic page layout editor. To do this, choose the form Edit Auto Preset layout from the menu editor drop-down preset (directly under the header Panel automatic layout)
  3. Have noticed this myslef, I don't remember if it is a bug or a design limit.
  4. Not seeing this problem, it works very well on Mac OS X. try clicking on the scroll bar to make it active, it may help.
  5. Yet once again, not seeing this problem, the left and right buttons in the main window of content move from one page to another.

  It is also interesting to note, in case you have not discovered yet, preferences located under the menu book book. This is where you define what metadata are used to auto fill in the areas of text (for example, title or legend).

  I expect that one or more of the other pre release testers who spent more time than me in this module will probably be able to fill the gaps.

• Models of very limited LR4 book Module

  I am designing an album in Lightroom for the first time and looking for very own page layouts with lots of white space for wedding albums.  I found a model with two vertical images that I liked a lot, but all the options available have some sort of funky black outline around them!  I can't believe that they understand not just one of the same thing without a contour.  They really need to have the opportunity to develop your own templates!

  I feel so frustrated by this, and it seems that other people experienced the same thing earlier this year from what I've seen online.  I love book Module, but it is useless to me as it is.  Anyone know if an update is planned to address this issue?

• Numbering of the pages in the LR4, book Module

  Adobe really miss out on an absolutely essential condition in ledger?   I finished my book, went to add page numbers to make the location index, but can't find anything that could help automate.  Should I really big finger page numbers?   If Yes, you must be a joke.   Books require a separate paging.   How could they be so ridiculous as to this important function don't miss?   I am disappointed.   I'll see if I can take the time to rebuild the book in the presentation text of bookify.  I will not revisit the book module until this is remedied.

  There is no automatic way at the present time. You can make the page numbering with a legend of the page field and custom text.

• Addition of LR4 book page numbers

  I designed and printed a book BLURB in beta LR4 successfully. Although the color was slightly ridged and marbling, it wasn't a bad effort, but it needs refinements. Does anyone have an idea of how I might add page numbers? Without page numbering, to make a book more than a few pages is not really acceptable.

  I found a way to do it using page numbers in the caption of the Page. Very gross and manual; seems like it should be an automatic feature. But then LR can even place text in the page of the text of presentation formats!

• The new download LR4.1 turned my photos a pinkish, why tint

  After installation of LR4.1 my pictures turned a pinkish tint on uninstaling, they returned to their original color.  They have been taken with a 600 d 18-55mm IS lens Canon. I am an amateur photographer and I wonder if I can ignore this update without compromising the future updates too.  I don't like he did for my photos.  The update refers to the correction of chromatic aberration, it seems that my pictures do not need.

  Great, so it means that you have accidentally changed your default settings somewhere along the line.

  When I make the adjustments on a RAW or JPEG file in the develop module and then send it to PS5 for more work, not all settings appear in CS5.

  When you choose "change in" it will give you a message warning you that the ACR CS5 is not compatible.  You should check 'Render in lightoom' not ' to open anyway'.  If you do not receive the message, it may because you checked that "do not notify" previously, in which case go to edition, preferences, general tab and click "reset all warnings.

  The compatibility problem will be fixed in ACR 6.7 (today in the form of "Release Candidate" pre-release which can be downloaded), but full compatibility, it will ACR7 in Photohsop CS6, when it is released.

  Frans is OK, but it must also be in a collection or folder of the lowest level of the tree of user access. If you just file located above this level, you will not be able to sort.

  Not sure why jf publishes services worked for you, but not the native versions of Lightroom.

  But it seems that your complaint is not in general with publishing services, but the provided Adobe publish service plugins, or a native disk editor.

  In the event that it was the missing link: you create your own publish collections and fill them (put pictures in them, to appear, for example using drag don't fall into a regular collection, or create a smart collection). Note: Ctrl-click right/publishing service and choose (create a folder to publish or create a Collection...). Securities in the context menu to create collections of publication may be different for different services, so that can be confusing, but they all do the same thing: create regular collections or create smart collections, or sets of the collection).

• LR4 printing module: print on the edge of the paper

  How to do a print to the edges of the page, and how to fill the area outside the margins with black. I would prefer not to have to go to PS to put the image on a black, if possible.

  Do you have sizes customized in the print job with an selected print to JPEG? You should be able to then adjust the cell size. Alternativaly make the size of your own paper with border 0.

• Hi, I use Lightroom4 and I can't seem to make one of the photos in the book that I am trying to download on Blurb.  I used the same photo before in other books.  Any help would be appreciated.

  Hi, I am trying to download my Blurb photo book and it does not work.   I use Lightroom4 and recently (and successfully) use the same picture in several other books.  I get an error message that says that the photo cannot be returned.  I don't know if it would work with the rest of the photos, because the one who gets the error message is only the third of about 40 images.  I would appreciate all the advice really.

  As I said, I'm never comfortable with special characters like slash, and colon (exception is the underscore), although I have no direct evidence that there is a problem.

  What happens if you rename the photo (using your operating system) to be lake_clouds2.jpg, and then she would have the question mark in LR 4 and you reconnect to the it in LR 4? Renders the picture then?

  Switch back to the library module, find photos and drag them on the recorded book that is stored in the Collections Panel. Then they will be available to add to the book.

• Develop photos not showing in module

  I bought a hard copy of the LR4 their release, but due to circumstances have downloaded just now it... also thought some of the inevitable bugs be gone... everything is there, as it should be in the library... but for some reason module, no photos appear at all in the develop module... I always encountered some problems with each release, but this one has me you don't know even where to start... any ideas or suggestions much appreciated...

  Help! I just downloaded CC 2015 to a new computer and trying to edit in the LR develop module, my photo does not appear in the center of the screen, only in the side panel. What am I missing?

  Please follow the steps below.

  Open Lightroom

  Go to Lightroom preferences in the Edit menu

  Click the performance tab

  Deselect the graphics processor

  Restart Lightroom
