Hi sperm

Can you please try to use roxio software built into Windows XP? There is also the same option. It will be interesting to know if this problem is caused by software that you use or if there is a malfunction of your device.

Just a couple of alternatives... I think that PowerPoint can
not be the best software for this task.

FWIW... If your project includes digital photos... you could
import them into Windows DVD creation and create a DVD
    no need for other software.

If you wanted a more polished slideshow with careful motion
effects and transitions, you can create the slideshow in
Windows Phioto Story 3 and save it in the WMV format...
then import the WMV in DVD Maker.

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

    Hi N2tjq,

Are a. When you facing this problem?

    B. is - what happens with all DVDs?

    C. recent changes made on the computer?

I firstly you suggests to save the project to your computer, and then try to burn on a DVD at a slower burning speed.

Choose a speed slower burn to your DVD recorder as follows:

1 back to adding photos and video to the DVD page and then click on Options.
    2. in the DVD burner speed box, select medium or slow.

  • Satellite A660 - optical driver turns off when burning DVD

I have a problem with the optical drive of energy saving options that disables the drive while burning.

I tried all the suggestions mentioned here [http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Satellite-Laptops-A-Series/Optical-drive-automatically-turns-off-due-to-power-saver/td-p/223654], but it does not help.

I start at the burn in Ashampoo Burning Studio free, and he seems to be good until the end. When it starts the process of lead-out the popup of the optical signals Drive Power drive is turned off. It's funny because it is still running at the speed of combustion and it will not stop. The reader becomes unresponsive, even I can't the DVD out. Even, that it disappears from the list of devices.

The only way I thought so far to stop the car and release the DVD is in the shutdown/Hibernate the computer.

Once the dive starts working again the STRANGE Fn-tab functionality started working and I can turn it on/Off/ejection at will.

All the burned DVD - s are not valid, and so far I have not managed to burn a single functional DVD.

    I have a Toshiba Satellite A660 - PSAW3E with Win7 Enterprise 64-bit.

Is there a way to fix this? Remove the optical drive power management?

    Hello

To be honest I have never heard of this issue, but it appears that the optical drive power management is part of the power of Toshiba configuration utility.
Part of the Toshiba value added package configuration done Toshiba power utility.

What you can try, for testing purposes, to remove the Toshiba added value of the system package, restart your computer and try to burn DVDs again to see if the same problem will occur again.

Toshiba value added package contains several tools such as utility cards flash FN so after his withdrawal, you will not be able to use the FN keys. In any case, after that trial, you can download and install Toshiba value added package again.

I mean, I know what kind of conflict is there, but maybe you should consider it.

  • Why is out CPU maxing out at 100% when burning DVDs?

I bought the first 13 items yesterday and got my dvd ready to go. I started burning today and it's been over an hour and still the treatment, it may have taken 1.5 hours total. You try to run photoshop at the same time was very slow photoshop so I checked the resources I've seen the first was using 99% of my cpu, even after the closure of photoshop. When the screenshot was taken, it's 93% encoding and down a little. I have a 3.4gz i3 dual core and have never seen it go above 50% and even that was just a tip. The system has also 8 GB of ddr3 ram on windows 7 64 bit.

Burning DVDs seems to be made but the program responds, it is now fluctuating between 0 and 5% of my cpu, but is still not responding do not. It doesn't have the program not responding, frozen error and I wonder if it is fired.

Thanks for the reply and in view of the comments.

Please stay with the option 'Fit content space' with a check mark next to it.

The only time where I disable that option by removing this box is when I get an error of data rate that forces me to remove this box so that I can manually adjust the flow to lower the value to enable the process to proceed.

783 MB to 1.69 Mbps (megabits per second) is certainly the game of bitrate more low quality. The maximum bit rate in Premiere Elements burn on is 8,00 Mbps.

If you are using a standard DVD disc (4.7 GB / 120 minutes), in reality, 4.7 GB 4.38 GB is the capacity of your drive. Premiere Elements burn on DVD using a variable bitrate, which means your Mbps max 8.00 will vary in DVD production.

If you see a No Disc error in the mixture, it's another question... There is a known error in 13/13.1, requiring the removal or disabling of the OldFilm.AEX file. It has been written here a lot.

    Local disk C

    Program Files

    Adobe

    Adobe Premiere Elements 13

    Plug-ins

    Commune

    NewBlue

and in NewBlue folder is the file OldFilm.AEX that you remove or disable renaming of OldFilm.AEX to OldFilm.AEXOLD.

So, please watch that, leave the check mark next to fit content space (if 8,00 Mbps is much less than 8.00, consider a Double DVD face single-layer (8.5 GB / 240 minutes, 7.95 GB actually).)

We will follow your progress. Any necessary clarification, please ask.

    Thank you.

  • Unknown error 2130906112 when burning DVDs in Premiere Elements

Hi am trying to burn a DVD using Premiere Elements 3.0. My computer will go the long process of trying to burn the CD. In the end, the drive appears the DVD out and I get a message stating: unknown error 2130906112. I have burned successfully in the past, but can't now. I tried to do it on 7 times with this specific project and have had no success. I used two types of DVD + R (Memorex and Verbatim). My project is about 56 minutes. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

This seems to be the week for DVD burning problems...

My first recommendation would be to use PRE to 'Burn to Folder. " Normally, when you press the "Burn" button, PRE must in fact do 2 things: 1) encode your project in DVD format and then 2) burn these files on a real DVD. When we "burn to the folder', PRE will perform step 1 (encode your project to the DVD format), but instead of burning the DVD real media files, it will be just to save these files to the hard disk location that you specify.

There are several advantages to this, but our immediate advantage is that if you have any burning questions, you can restart just the burning step - you don't need to wait to do the coding.

So, step 1. Go, select the disc. In "Burn To", instead of "DVD", select 'File' (4.7 GB). Choose the folder location, and then click on burn. When FORWARD is finished, you can go to the location of the specified folder and see that it created a VIDEO_TS folder under the selected folder. VIDEO_TS that contains your encrypted DVD project.

Step 2 will actually be burning your DVD. If you have Nero, or something similar, you can use it. Otherwise, there is a free program called ImgBurn which works very well. The important thing at this stage is to choose the slow burning speed you can tolerate (I use usually 2 X or 4 X if I'm in a hurry). Use the Verbatim, not the Memorex media.

Try this and report on what happened.

If it does not burn, at least just to focus on step 2, which will have nothing to do with fixing FRONT.

  • Error 'Could not create ac3' when burning Blu - ray

I spent the last week, a reader Blu - ray in Encore CS5 design.  Combustion, they gave me the error message "Cannot create"_sessionfiles_Dsf_session_1_audio.ac3", and the burn failed (after going to seven hours).  I don't really know even where to start with this.  The Blu - ray is about 80% of the full (20 GB) and includes several chronologies and several menus (including audio).  No pop ups.  It should be a fairly simple project.  However, it gave me problems after the problem and has taken far too long.  Can anyone offer insight before I spend another week chasing the problem?  Thank you.

    Congratulations and condolences then!

Either the burn was bad (the inability to check), in which case a reburn could fix, or you have a navigation problem, in which case you will need to fix this.

You can navigate through the menu of the specific aspects? The action of the end of the scenario for the main movie is clearly defined in the menu special functions? In preview, but still on the main timeline, click the icon for "end action"; that works correctly?

You can also try to play the image, and see if it behaves correctly (again showing a bad burn). The problem with this is that a) have you usually mount the image and b) some software players emulate correctly and a failure doesn't mean much. But if it plays properly, it indicates a bad burn.

What third-party burning software has failed?

  • Satellite M40: Power calibration error - drive cannot burn DVD - RW more

My drive is a carpet * an oem UJ - 831S. After a screw-up partitioning job, I had to format my HD and reinstall Windows XP... and then I can not burn DVD - RW more.

Tried many programs such as Nero and a fireman, gives an error of calibration of power from the beginning.
Burning CD - r and CD - RW no problem however, and I can read CDs and DVDs of movies very well.

Google and searched for a month without success, tried to blow the laser lens, but there is no dust, I tried different media, etc. I know the best answer is that the drive is done, BUT I refuse to acknowledge it because it is too big of a coincedence to stop working right after that I reinstalled XP.

An interesting note however, my laptop has not been provided with a CD of Toshiba, so I had to reinstall manually more drivers by downloading the Toshiba site, so I have a funny feeling, this could be a thing of the software/firmware, or even a framework.

I installed the new firmware 1.02 for the reader as well. I don't remember what the firmware was before resettlement, IE the laptop computer settings to factory default, I'd like to downgrade to 1.00 if possible.

Experts have ideas? And is there a way I can reset the firmware?

Maybe I could remove the drive from the system-> devices and let XP Reinstall for me?

    Hello

    > I don't know the best answer is that the drive is done, BUT I refuse to acknowledge it because it is too big of a coincidence to stop working right after that I reinstalled XP.

Of course, it s simply to say the drive is dead because everything looks like a hardware malfunction. Most often the power calibration error appears because of the drive lens can't calibrate in the right position and thus cannot read some CD or DVD s s or it of not possible to write about them.

But maybe you are a lucky man and might try this procedure:
-Try to remove the drive physically from the Bay for laptop
-Restart the unit without the drive
-In this case the operating system should start from the HARD drive
-Close the notebook then reinsert the drive unit in the Bay of s for laptop
During initialization, the laptop should recognize the drive and must pick up the firmware

Then you can check if you can burn the DVD again, otherwise you will need a new drive
