M515 Hot sync problem Windows xp pro palm1 software
Ok. This m515 has my brothers and my first.
Ive read through the forums trying everything proposed to get the m515 hotsync with xp.
Windows xp pro, mem 4 concerts, 700 gigs HD space, CPU 2.1gig.
I'm using the palm1 software and want the address book transfer.
have hotsync manager running and I get a popup 'window hotsync', but none of the data from the Palm1 software (downloaded from the website of palm) is transferred. Yes, the power plug and the USB is plugged.
515 Hotsync shows long ok calendar, AddressBook etc...
yet data will not be transferred.
Any help apprecated. Thank you.
AH!, it wasn't her, but he helped me to find the problem!
There is a page of settings where it sets the sync, either IR or via cradel/modem...
He was set to go through the Infra-red.
I changed the setting to the cradle/modem and it Sync for the first time.
Grand... Thank you! Had, it works...

Active sync for Windows XP Pro SP3
Need active sync for Windows XP Pro SP3. Where can I find it? If not available what other options I have. Too much on the computer to be upgraded.
Hello TerryParkes,
Download of Active Sync works with Windows XP SP3, download was released before the release of Windows XP SP3, so it did not appear in the system requirements.
You can install the version of Active Sync listed above.

Hot sync problem during the transition to the new PC (Tx)
I have a Tx six - months old, use exclusively the Palm Desktop (not Outlook on my PC). I have had no problems HotSync with my PC... until the hard drive crashed two weeks ago. I've been actively using my computer to Pocket during these two weeks and have now a new PC I want to synchronize with. PC running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3.
I installed PalmDesktop 6.2.2 with related Hot Sync Manager. I moved over my data files (e.g. backups) of the old hard drive (maybe I should not have?) When I took office, I jumped the sync bit, since I didn't have a user name and has not been implemented in a new handheld device. I tried to do as well a regular synchronization and a sync with dominant desktop pocket. The two of them start well, but then after a LONG wait, seems to hang on the synchronization of calendar. I gave him several minutes... the two times the app just froze and I had to cancel soft task palm and end on the desktop. I looked in the Safe Sync Hot, but it starts with a 'you will now lose all of your data due to a total reboot so be sure to hot sync first... '. ' - which is hardly useful since it is the HotSync I can't do!
Suggestions on what to try? I'm desperate to be able to reuse my office - I HATE Graffiti 2 and it takes me forever to the entrance of the things on the handheld.
Thank you!
If the synchronization is suspended a particular category of PIM, it ususally indicates corruption in the database.
There may be the database at the source of the problem. Click on the following link for the program called DbFixiT. This program has a trial version that you can download and install on your Palm OS device. The trial version will search the database and then to declare the corruption. You can then search records at the origin of the problem and fix them yourself or you can buy the program and do it automatically repair records.
http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/dbfixit.htm
Once you correct the records on the handheld, set the Pocket lines replaces nand Office data synchronization corrected back to the PC.

Tungsten T3 Hot Sync in Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and WIndows XP mode
I've upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and now my Palm T3 will not be synchronized. I downloaded desktop 4.1.4e 6.3 and 4.1.4. I tried all three in both windows 7 and windows XP mode that tells me is a 32-bit o/s but I'm really not sure. I tried to hot sync in bluetooth in windows 7, as the T3 and laptop connect but he always tells me that the port is used by another program? Does anyone know what I have to do to get it to sync or am I've sentenced to throw my faithful T3 out? Any ideas?
Hello eaglesfan723 and welcome to the forums of Palm.
The Tungsten T3 HotSync driver is not 64-bit capable, this is why you can't get the T3 to HotSync. Please read this thread to learn more about your options with Windows 7.

Belkin F5D7050 driver problem - Windows 8 Pro
Hello
I installed Windows 8 Pro yesterday, I upgraded to Windows 7.
However, the drivers and compatibility with my Belkin F5D7050 does not work in my operating system upgraded.
I saw someone post a question on a Web site on the fact that it worked on the preview and not now because you have changed something between the preview and the release. I can't be certain if.
However ended last night, I managed to uninstall the current driver that is used and then reinstall it from the disk provided with the product.
Then, I turned on my PC this morning to test the new OS, tried to do the same thing as what precedes, and it's not even plug in or allowing me to remove it from the Device Manager.
Can you please advise and resolve this issue with me ASAP
Thank you very much
Nick Smith

If you do not have the disc download drivers how you feel are correct.
Right-click on the installation application, select the Compatibility tab.
Click on run compatibility troubleshooting, waiting for that it ends...

Windows 7 Pro OEM software on a new system of charging
In an effort to fix my computer, I recently bought and installed 7 Pro OEM software. All went well for about 2 weeks and then the motherboard failed. I built a new computer and want to install the software OEM Pro 7 on it. Will Microsoft be enable / allow it makes me? Who should I contact?
Well Microsoft's policy is that an OEM license is tied to the first motherboard on which it is installed. You can try to install it and then reactivate over the telephone, some guests had the chance to get reactivated:
How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)
1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4
(2) press the ENTER"" key.
(3) select your "country" in the list.
(4) choose the option "activate phone".
(5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.
(6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.

Hi all I was wondering if oracle virtualbox runs on windows 8 pro 64 bit, I would use it instead of using the built in one that came with windows, as I want to run the tails of https://tails.boum.org/ in a virtual machine and it is not supported by the built in Hyper-V on windows 8. but I don't want to goof Windows by installing another virtual software, so I need to know if it will work until I do it.

Hello
Compatibility is the responsibility of the developer.
According to the following Web site, Version 4.2 of Oracle Virtualbox is compatible with Windows 8.

IPod Touch 4 G Sync problem Windows XP SP 3
My iPod Touch 4 G does not sync with my iTunes library. iTunes freezes and no longer just by showing that it is the first song synchronization. I have Windows XP Home Edition service pack 3, iTunes 10.4.1 and iOS 4.3.5 on my iPod. I have to burn my iTunes library to a CD and synchronize it with my iPod on another computer. My home PC is about 6 years but short grand. iTunes works great, can listen and download anything on my PC. Just can't sync with my iPod. I've tried everything. I think that maybe the USB issue someone else mentioned but I don't know. Maybe, I need to install a USB card that is not connected to my motherboard.
Any suggestions?

IPod Sync problem Windows 7 64 bit
ITunes does not synchronize the ipod under the 64-bit Windows 7 Version!
It is a known issue for Apple and Microsoft officially on both sides as shown. I wonder that I can't read anything on this platform. How can I keep informed me of anything that can solve the problem?
I appreciate any information about this.
Hello hardy3269,
Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forums.
I'm sure that the two companies are working to resolve synchronization issues they may have. In regard to keep them informed of the latest news about your particular hardware I suggest to search for updates to the iPhone and see what you find there. There may be a few sites that have some RSS feeds, you can bind.
Kind regards

hot sync problem - Date Palm Z22 - hold on synch book...
I have a palm Z22. I got it for several years. Recently, I downloaded 6.2.
When I hotsync, everything happens as it should, but it freezes on the synchronization of the agenda.
Here's what happens in a second nano:
Installer package
Install
Install the Service models
Install on map
Synch warm Exchange
It date Book - aways stops here... 13 green bars, all 2 of 12.
Does anyone know how to fix?
Thank you
SDM
I have exactly the problem you have described on my Centro. Looking through the other posts, I found a suggestion to install a program on your handheld called dbfixit. It's free on cnet. When you run it, it will not correct the errors (at least the free version won't), but it will tell you what are the mistakes. If you look at the errors, it will give the date of the registration. I had a few old calendar entries that had been corrupted. I deleted them and then the sync works perfectly. I hope this helps.

Tear out my hair with Hot sync problems!
I did some research and I can not get my Z22 palm to sync with Palm by Access (this is my new laptop running Windows Vista 64-Bit). I bought and installed a USB infrared adapter (as suggested). First, an error occurs that is used by another application. Brought some changes now, the error is "the connection between your device and the desktop could not be established. Please check your set... «... I don't have any leads for a solution to my situation, and I'm very frustrated. Can someone please help me get my palm sync new! I currently use my z22, but nothing I can not back up or otherwise. And I refuse to buy an another PDA.
Help me! Someone? Anyone?
I read this thread, and it directly affects how I came to buy a USB for IR adapter. I can't work, no matter what the conversations are pass. I just need someone to scroll me through each process as best as possible. After I added the update palm software, shouldn't be able to sync without worrying if my previous information was never stored on my new laptop? Please help me, I am very frustrated and lose hope and the thought that I have to buy a new Palm (which I don't really want to do now). Thank you.

I can't hot synch. I get the message "Unable to establish connection" I have a tungsten E pDa and it worked fine until I uploaded in the PDA support photo which I did have.
It didn't work anymore. I think I can have contaminated the DDA software. I followed the thread for Windows XP Home Edition and reinstalled the latest palm desktop and hot synch and it still does not work.
If I do a hard reset which will restore all the original PDA software so I can start over?
Other suggestions are welcome.
Thank you
Ziller
Thank you.
I've removed any vestige of the Palm of my computer and then reinstalled the Palm desktop and software HS and all seems to work. You saved me from a hard reset to unnecesswary.
Thanks again.

Hello
I'm having a hot-sync problem from my computer palm zire with my new computer Inspiron 1546, 64-bit, with a home premium to windows 7.
Running hot Sync Manager I have the icon on the bottom bar of the right tool in the system tray is a USB and it is checked.
When I enter all upwards in the system at the end of a synchronization operation hot tray a failure box appears.
That is the selected port COM1 is not available at this time. HotSync manager will open the port when it becomes available. the premises of the port series is empty and I can't get into something is where COM1 should be.
In the setup of the box I looked into the hot sync LOG this message if poster is. The logfile c:\program (x 86)-palm\johnsw\hotsync journal is not found.
Hoping you can help me

Hello billj, welcome to the Palm support community.
Your question is asked here, on a daily basis. I refer you to the thread of fat at the top of this section entitled "Windows7 and Vista synchronization instructions.
In short, you cannot synchronize via USB to any 64 bit OS. The company Palm Desktop factory (access to the Japan) seems to have no interest in updating the program to run on this type of operating system.

I was wondering if Windows 7 Ultimate would be available in the 32-bit version. Also, if I purchase the upgrade is there an option to choose between 32-bit and 64-bit. I currently have Windows Vista home premium 32 bit and do not have four gigabytes
