  Today, once more, the iMac can't find the printer! I followed the instructions over and over again and as I client I'm frankly NOT interested if it's a problem of HP Apple or Apple HP problem. Mountain Lion OS has been available for years as a printer. It's also a shame that when you buy an HP printer new at Office Depot in Israel that you get an obsolete installation disc!

  Surely someone at HP does not have an iMac with Mountain Lion and is ready to take the problem to solve the problem or HP he expects visitors to reinstall the printer every day?

  I don't hold my breath that a response from the HP HP. doesn't have its customers when Windows 8 is out with drivers for laptops and it seems that HP is not always interested in the customer service!

  Try to access the web page of your router, then go to Advanced > Network Tools and enable IGMP Snooping:

  URL of the router is the gateway listed for your printer listed in the summary of the network cable to the printer.

  Then restart the router and check if that can help by using the Hello-add print queue, which is of course assuming that everyhing works fine using the queue of Jetdirect-socket

  I've just updated to Mac OS 10.8.2 Mountain Lion (from 10.8.1 precedent) and suddenly my Macbook Air (2011) crashes whenever I run Fusion. I had Fusion 4.1.3. I also tried to install Fusion 5 but seems to have the same problem.

  The application should start and I see VMWare Fusion in the menu bar (but not yet windows), in a few seconds the machine would crash and I get the grey screen "to the death".

  I had a very similar problem after updating to 10.8.2. What worked for me was starting up in recovery of OS X and under my boot repair disk volume. There are a number of scheduled file system errors. After the reboot, VMWare works again and the system has been stable for the last half hour or so.

Note: the portal of my.yahoo.com page seems perfect if you are not connected. It gets only scrambled if you try to display the personalized home page for your account. It is similarly of the Amazon. the general site seems perfect; It is only when you try to view deep pages, such as 'my account '. I've seen problems similar to some other sites, as well. All sites are fine in Safari. Text superimposed on the paragraphs, missing images, etc.
  No problem on the MacBook Pro, also run Firefox 14.0.1

  Seems to download the software I mentioned before has been deleted. This means that a new driver will be downloaded.

  Please visit the site from time to time if a new software is available. I'll keep an eye as well and provide an update here, if the new software can be downloaded. It may take a few days.

  You're blaming the wrong people. It's all 'Fault' Apple to no longer support legacy APIs. In any case, it's a moot point. The computer world is changing rapidly, and it should be clear to everyone that beyond a point former software simply won't be more compatible with most modern operating systems. If you cannot meet this 'death race', then you will have to find alternatives. Anything beyond that is not worth debating or post complaints on.

• 18 Firefox no longer works with Mac OSX Mountain Lion v10.8.2

  I've been running FireFox v17 with Lion mountain (OSX 10.8.2) without any problem.

  The automatic updater to Mozilla asked that I've upgraded to FireFox v18, but since the installation of Mozilla FireFox crashes immediately.

  The browser opens, but then does nothing. If you enter a URL, and then nothing happens. It shows just a continuous empty screen.

  I wanted that other users of Cougar aware of this problem and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Mozilla, check this bug and to provide an update and the solution.

  I use Chrome in the meantime, I don't really like as a developer.

  In the end I had to remove the full FireFox Application including all files and folders. Now everything works after new installation.

  Well, a little 'upgrade' is a misleading word in this case. No assessment upgrade is available for such an old version. 'Buy new' might be a better term.

I really love dreamweaver for creating web pages and have used it for years with a PC.  I recently switched from a PC to a MAC, but I find that when I open the Dreamweaver application for the first time that I get a prompt that displays something like "you need to download Java SE 6 runtime, you want to install it now?   I click Yes, and the download fails.  I called Apple about it, they said that the software is on the Oracle Java web site and sound out of their control.  I go on the site web Oracle Java he says "Apple provides their version of Java SE 6 runtime and there is no way to download it from the Java.com website.  This means that YOUR software does not work on my MAC, because the two companies could not agree on which suppies this software.

  What I need to know, is HOW can I GET of DREAMWEAVER TO RUN?  How can I get around this crazy * catch 22 situation?  And why the software does not recognize Java SE 7 runtime?

  UPDATE: installed Java SE 7 udpate 9 and it worked. The application of preferences Java under Utilities, shows that SE 6 is always installed. So, I think that this version is used to run locally on the system.

  I followed the suggestion of MHOLLIS55 and got my Mac as well.
