MAC PRO GPU AI CC2015

I have a lot of problem with GPU Preview in artificial intelligence. They have released two days ago a new resolve previous GPU problems.

Please, some Adobe experts could report the problem to Adobe? Please, start to support the new Mac Pro.

Hello

I'm the technical team of the Illustrator.

I do not understand the language of the screenshot I think it's the decline in dialogue.

Starting 19.0.1 we implemented a back drop in CPU errors of OpenGL. There are various reasons why an OpenGL errors may arise from issues implemented in Illustrator, bug in the drivers, the lack of memory in the GPU to render the content, an error of computation on the GPU or even a bug in the OS etc...

The reason why we have implemented a back fall with 19.0.1 is to prevent undesirable rendering problems when these errors occur. Please click on the do not display the check box and continue to work on Illustrator. Illustrator turn off automatically the GPU acceleration momentarily when it detects an error. This momentary exit ramp is applicable only for the current session. The next time you start Illustrator, we will try to reuse the GPU.

With Apple and Microsoft we also work with different hardware vendors such as NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel is to get these issues resolved or to implement workaround in our own product.

If you get a back fall error please share your file by email to [email protected] . Please reference this thread in your communication. Get us this investigation and see how these situations can be handled better.

Thank you.

Kind regards

  • Error on Mac Pro GPU acceleration since the program crashed

CC 2015 AI works very well for me the week last since the upgrade from 2014 CC. However, yesterday while working on several files (opened at the same time) the program crashed. After that, I have to disable "GPU Performance" while working, or I get the following error and the screen becomes white: 'Illustrator has detected an error with your material or graphics processing software and switched mode overview of the CPU for this session. Click on more information to resolve the error. »

The only time where I do not see the error is if I create a new file. In other words, it crashes when I open an existing file. I gand around this by HAVE to quit smoking, reopening the program before turning off 'GPU Performance' before opening any files. Then it works fine, but of course, not with the GPU acceleration.

It seems that the accident hit something that made the current files incompatible with the performance of the GPU.

I trashed the prefs and reinstalled the program. Which made no difference.

Have you experienced this? All the patches?

  • Mac Pro optimized for Photoshop and Premier Pro, yet affordable data sheet

I'll replace it my old desktop Mac Pro with a new.  I'm looking for advice for the choice of the configuration suitable for the new Mac Pro for use with the latest versions of Photoshop and Premier Pro.  This must be balanced with a budget between $ 4000 to $6500.  I use several storage on hard disk for my files, but I'm not pleading for all the advice to do this, my Photoshop is used for photo editing, with several images of at least 25 MB files panoramas and a high dynamic range and composite (used Photoshop for 10 years).  I have not started using Premier Pro for video editing, but he'll use it mainly in the next 18 months to edit movies in the family home.

Primary technical issues are the GPU D300 or D500, CPU speed and the number of hearts 4 or 6 or 8 and the memory ECC DDR3 12 GB or 16 GB or 32 GB or 64 GB.

Read various articles Internet and clients of the Mac Pro, I find that I am unable to lead to a final choice.  An article said that Adobe has designed its software to effectively use the new Mac Pro GPU and CPU cores.

    Thank you

    MIKE

I would say at least 16 GB of ram with 32 GB really what you want because of the bi - GPU "s. If you do not have enough ram to feed two video cards, then these two cards will have a limited performance. D300 cards are really loss. I wouldn't bother with nothing less than the cards D500, especially if you plan to use the first. AMD cards already have half the performance that Nvidia cards do with acceleration GPU Adobe Premiere. I wouldn't make it worse with D300 cards. I also suggest you the processor 6 4 soul. Otherwise just get the new Imac instead of you want a Mac.

  • Mac Pro CPU and GPU upgrades

Hello, I am looking to buy a Mac Pro 2008 and had a few questions. 1. I found I can pass of say a 2 X 2.80 GHz 2 x 3.0 GHz CPU, but I looked up a few processors (from my MacBook Air i5 2013) and one very well like i5 Core 6600 k in guides and found compared to my only MacBook, it is barely faster , but compared to the 6600 k, is pretty lame. So I would like to know if I can put a more modern, faster CPU in the Mac Pro. 2. I saw you pass GPU also through multiple models of Mac Pro, but a similar question, wondering if I can swap in a GPU more modern. I'd be by accepting a list of compatible CPU / GPU if it works.

    Thank you!

  • PS CC 2015 caused reboot of the GPU on Mac Pro

I use PS CC 2015 with the last update on a Mac Pro end of 2013 with double over-pants D500 with 3072 MB of memory in OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 and 10.11.2 beta 4, UI of the PS has frozen and the entire operating system became frozen after even the simplest operations:

-Open a jpg file 6000 x 4000, resize to 2000 x 1333, then save as, UI has frozen.

-Open a jpg 3000 x 2000, cultures to 1600 x 1000, then save for web (inheritance), Which froze.

    - ...

Before running PS CC on OS X El Capitan, I was running it on OS X Yosemite 10.10.5, PS CC has been fairly stable at the time.

I checked the syslog with the Console utility, I found each time that the OS has frozen, there will be a generated report "Kernel_DATE_hostname.gpuRestart". The first lines are:

    Event: GPU Reset

    Date/time: Mon Nov 23 17:34:33 2015

I noticed the name of the application, so I did a complete search on my system. The process named "sniffer" was "/ Applications / Adobe Photoshop 2015/Adobe Photoshop 2015.app/Contents/MacOS/sniffer CC CC. I ran into the Terminal utility, the OS immediately froze, I tried again and again, the problem was reproduced always.

I've renamed to "sniffer.1" then ran CC PS, the problem was gone. I tried editing of large photos, dozens of filters applied, it has not caused any gel more.

I checked the result of process sniffer, were the last few lines there:

It seemed that program sniff tried detect all GPU possibilities, but had trouble trying to measure the bandwidth of the second GPU (single gpu of #0 bandwidth has been printed without gpu #1).

I don't know what problem I after 'turning off' the problem of sniffer renaming. I think it's a fault of PS CC (it rans) fine in OS X Yosemite or Apple display card driver problem (I also ran FCP X, but never had any problems).

Could someone in Adobe tell me what can I do then?

    Thank you.

Mercury Playback Engine option in first Pro CS6 GPU acceleration not on the new Mac Pro Tower 6 - Core Intel Xeon E5 AMD over-pants D700?

This applies to the new Mac Pro w / D700 cards?  If so, can you please explain how to change the settings.

I have CS6 installed longer, so I don't remember the exact tree that he uses.  There are 2 text files, that you need to remove.  We're in the Premiere Pro installation directory, and the other is in the Adobe Media Encoder, a.  You locate the file called opencl_supported.txt.  You can find this file in the installation directories.  Delete both.  PR of restart and you should be able to choose OpenCL as the hardware renderer.

  • Upgrade Mac Pro 12 5.1 GPU core

    Hello

I do most of my work in AE CS6 and CC, video edit in PP and use C4D. I want to upgrade my GPU and can't seem to find the right info. Should I use a 680 GTX or a Sapphire HD AMD 7950? I do not use Ray-Tracing in AE. I'm looking for a fluid workflow with a better overview and hoping for the best render time. I enjoy the CUDA or invest in an AMD? So much info out there. Thanks a lot for your help.

Download the Nvidia card as Cuda surpasses open right now CL with Adobe. AE will not use the GPU accept with Ray Tracer and has NVIDIA. Creating will use the GPU and Cuda is what you want to do this right now. I also suggest looking at Octane of C4D index, since it is the GPU for C4D render engine.

  • New Mac Pro, with dual AMD D500, GPU is not available?

Is there something special I need to do to get the GPU to work in After Effects? Screen Information GPU said currently I Open GL, but the GPU is not available in the menu dropdown. In particular, I try to get the 3-d element performance, and I think that actually went slower than on my Mac Pro 2011.

That's what chart using professionals are moving forward... Please tell me Adobe did not drop the ball on this one. He came out for almost a year!

Element runs its own back-end stuff, all parameter of GPU in After Effects should not have an effect on how it works. Something is preparing for what is element.

Like Rick, all uses of the AE the GPU for accelerates the ray-traced rendering engine, so I wouldn't worry at all. The inclusion of Cinema 4 d with your After Effects installation has made obsolete the raytraced render engine. In addition, speed up the rendering raytraced required engine cards NVIDIA, AMD not. This is why you cannot set to use your GPU; It's not NVIDIA. But, again, as I said, the ray-traced rendering engine is obsolete, if it's not quite relevant.

  • How can I enable the GPU option on a new mac pro with 2 AMD D700 graphics cards?

I recently bought the new mac pro, and I saw the option GPU is not activate and acknowledges that the CPU one, which is frustrating. Does anyone know how to enable the GPU option?

    Thank you

See this for more details about how the GPU is used in After Effects:

    http://blogs.Adobe.com/AfterEffects/2012/05/GPU-CUDA-OpenGL-features-in-after-effects-CS6. HTML

Note that your card will be used for all the features of GPU - but the 3D rendering acceleration traced the beam - requires a Nvidia GPU. This is a deprecated feature that you don't need to worry about anyway. There are a lot of better alternatives to the use of 3D in After Effects, Cinema 4 d, including the who now comes with After Effects:

the 2009 mac 4.1 pro can be upgraded to a number of current spare cards from Nvidia and AMD, but in many cases the cards require custom flashing of the Distributor and custom drivers. You need to buy a card with a distributor of mac because versions "Windows" of these cards will not work out of the box and OS X will not support without 3rd party drivers. This procedure is not recommended by apple that would rather you buy a new mac pro and again I want to say something for $5K, which offers the latest GPU is already 3 years old.

research on the Web "Mac Pro 4.1 GPU" for more details.

  • Mac Pro keeps stopping, lightweight CPU a / b overtemp on

I bought a used Apple Mac Pro 2.1 in December.  I use it mainly for editing my photos on Adobe PS, using filter of camera RAW.  The unit never gave me any problems, until early last week.  Here are the specs:

    | 8-CORE 3.0Ghz (2 x Quad-Core)

    | 32 GB OF RAM

    | 250 GB SSD

    | V RAM OF 4 GB GTX-680

    | Double BONE - El Capitan (primary) and Yosemite on two separate boot disks.

All started early last week, with an error screen when I open an CR2 on Adobe PS file.  I got this message...

"Camera Raw has temporarily disabled acceleration graphics processor because of the error." Update your graphics card driver may solve the problem. "Choose the option 'Use the graphics processor' in the dialog box Camera Raw prefer to re - enable GPU support.

In 5 minutes, I when preferences and choose 'use the graphics processor', then continued my work.  Subsequently, the Mac suddenly stops without any warning whatsoever! No message, no noise from the tower itself, the power light remained.  I then turned off the power.  I waited for a minute and he went back on.  The password screen, it would be closed again.

I then let the rest of the machine for 30-45 minutes, removed any buildup of dust inside using compressed air and turned on the unit return to perform minor troubleshooting. as well as other "light work" to avoid an overload of the system... He will stop in 35 minutes to turn on the machine.

Still, I unplugged everything (including the power cord) to reinstall the two riser cards. I powered the Mac with the access panel open, to keep an eye on something unusual.  All fans are smooth running, no sign of problems.  Until I updated the driver (Nvidia Cuda) GPU, the machine will stop again in 10 minutes!  Frustrated, I opened the side panel to only discover, both red lights (CPU A / B) on the section of the overheating of the logic board.  After the recharge time, I restarted the MAC and ran a tempature monitor I have installed.  I noticed the radiator of the Northbridge turned very quickly when I was running Adobe PS, please refer to the picture I have attached.

I have no idea what to do next.  I'm not sure if I need a replacement PSU, or something else entirely.  Pointers, help and/or advice.  I greatly appreciate it!

Remove all external and off devices, disconnect all external cables

Check your GPU for dust/dirt/creep (where it "fits" of the socket), you can remove it but when undertaking this make sure that you are properly grounded at all times and the components are put in static free containers, then clean the inside of the computer with compressed air ensuring that you damage the connectors not blowing the white point.

Replace the GPU and follow the instructions to reset the SMC.

Reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac - Apple Support

    See the yellow highlight

Plug directly into a wall outlet connected to the ground not a power strip or battery backup.

otherwise, to replace the CMOS battery on the logic board, after that leave the device unplugged for 30 minutes or more.

  • Mac Pro (end 2013) freezing issues

    Hello

I bought a couple of years a new fantastic Mac Pro, but in a few months I started to think that I made a terrible choice.

The computer crashes very often since I updated it to El Capitan, but it was difficult to work on Adobe Premiere since the outset: ridiculously slow, three hours to make a 4 minute clip.

I contacted the Apple store, they kept for a week, they said he went from testing all the equipment and they found nothing wrong.

The mac is still suspended. SO FRUSTRATING.

I work on Photoshop, most of the time, but I have the experience of the 'freeze' even just browse the folders with the finder or visit a Web site on Chrome or watch movies. I unplugged all peripheral usb/firewire, mac freezes still. I repaired disk permissions but reports seem ok.

I started with the Mavericks, I upgraded to Yosemite, El Capitan I reinstalled from scratch.

But nothing has changed in fact related to the gel issue, once time and then (sometimes up to 8 times a day), I need to force a restart by using the power button, because everything is frozen.

The trackpad and the graphics tablet (Wacom Pro middle) are frozen, no key is accepted.

Apple has determined that in some late 2013 Mac Pro graphics cards may cause video problems - without video, system instability, freeze - but it seems that only the GPU AMD OVER-PANTS D500/D700 are affected (I have the base model with a D300).

Do you have any hint? Is that what I can do to understand what is the problem?

I wish I could be in a position, at least, to reproduce the problem, but sometimes it takes days between a 'freeze' and the other. Error reports are generated not either, it is one of the error messages Console that I could find:

WindowServer [176]: GPU Driver seems to be suspended (more than 5 continuous seconds of reluctance)

I am a professional photographer and work is very unproductive and frustrating. I'm losing money customers time and my mood, and I would like a response from Apple on this topic.

Looks like it could be due to problem of graphic material.

have you looked at this long discussions:

  • Mac Pro 2013 randomly restart problem

    Hello

Here's my problem: I have a Mac Pro end of 2013 (6 cores, 16 GB ram, over-pants D500, running OS X 10.10.5 with a WACOM Cintiq 21 - UX as my view only) who has, for the last month or so been randomly restart itself.

There are some days where it might be three or four times and then days where it won't do it at all. Also there are moments where it works well for hours, but then if I turned off the Mac Pro, it will crash and restart. Sometimes it will freeze momentarily application-wise (but the cursor moves but does nothing) before it restarts but usually just the screen goes black and then it restarts without any warning. I still get the black screen with the «your computer has restarted...» Press any key' and of course, it generates a crash report that I submit to Apple every time (that I'll post more recent one below as well.) I did start secure upward, reset the PRAM, booted single-user, just that I found online to do which is recommended. But nothing seems to have done something to help.

The Cintiq is connected through a DVI adapter to Thunderbolt. I also have Mercury Elite Dual Pro Rack hung RAID normally via Thunderbolt. There are times when I think that there is a problem with the RAID box and the Mac Pro but not sure. As there is a problem with the Thundebolt ports. I tried to pass the cables autour, but it has not seemed to have made all the difference. This also has all seems to have coincided with the last update of OS X where I've also updated the driver for WACOM Cintiq (I since past to the old driver). Is this all just a matter of software conflict?

I found an Apple Support thread where someone has indicated that a Kernel Panic may cause this, but then it also seems similar to what I've found, that was the issue with the Macbook Pro, which had problems with graphics a bit backward.

In any case, here's a crash report if it helps and thank you for any help that anyone can send my way!
