MacBook Air cover / hinge issues
My MacBook Air early 2015 cover/screen seems to be loose, it's because of my mossiso rubberized hard case or my mac damaged, also when I touch the black plastic that controls the screen, it seems that there is some movement. is my loose hinge / damaged. I can't go to the apple store because the closest is 3-4 hours away, I want to know it's because of the case or if the hinge is damaged?

MacBook Air 11 "(mi-2011) material issue"
Hi, I had a MacBook Air "Core i5" 1.6 11 "(mid-2011) a few months ago by my sister. I'm new to Mac, but I've been fixing PC for more than 20 years. Need a little advice on the model of this issue.

Short story is that the Macbook Air was dead. After buying the screwdriver specialized to open the macbook air, I managed to get out the internal SSD Flashdrive on but as Apple uses customized connectors I had to buy an external case to test the drive and he was DEAD.
So I installed El Capitan on an EXTERNAL drive plugged into the USB. It's a plus for Apple to initialize external drives and a nice feature.
Once I got the macbook air I found following several breakdowns of equipment.
1 SSD drive is dead
2 camera and the Microphone is dead. No facetime.
3 the POWER BUTTON is dead and holding down the macbook air will not shut. (I had to unplug the connector from the motherboard) This allowed me to switch on/off the computer buy pulling on the magsafe power supply.
I have been fixing computers based on Windows for decades and never seen so many parts fail both. WHAT CAN CAUSE THIS?
At first I thought it was the logic board at fault, but I doubt that is the case. I can only assume a power SURGE or something to do as much damage.
I was hoping to get this up and running for my daughter from school to save money, but unfortunately not the case. The price of all the ssd drive is high and he still has a chance to not work if the logic board is also damaged.
THEN AND MATERIAL SPECIALISTS MACBOOK GOT SOME ADVICE?
It's true that to fix the power button that is dead the keyboard needs to be replaced?
Advice would be useful. For now I am able to use with the base of the cover off and the battery disconnected but is now portable way.

Like you, I had business with the PC and computers relatively old. You have quite the list, and you probably answered your own question. I have studied logic board only and lives at $ 200-300 min. purchase from a reliable source of Apple pieces. In my opinion.
Put the Mac Air 2011 all back together and its trade.

I cancelled iTunes on a Macbook Air, issued by the school. All my music is stored/saved on my iMac at home. If I delete the playlists and songs of the Macbook it will affect my master library?
Unless you're 'home sharing', which he does not seem like you are, two libraries (macbook and iMac) are distinct, so a change does not affect the other. Best way to test would be to remove a few songs you can download easily and see if it changes. But I don't think it will be a problem.

Is anyone aware of problems with the flash drive on macbook air (mid-2013); I know the mid-2012 models Flash drive recall program. Air of my son just conked and just start displays a folder with a question book icon. After several attempts with the CSR, it turned out to be a flash player problem. Any help is welcome

MacBook Air storage issues - I have iCloud but using too much data, which is a better solution?
I have a Macbook Air processor intel and storage 4 GB, I use iCloud for storing all my data, but recently I had a problem with too much use of my data internet home. We are limited because we live in a rural area. So I guess I have two questions: 1) can I use an external hard drive to avoid having to use my iCloud? and if I do which is the best to use external storage drive? I have a lot of files and photos, I am a real estate agent. I got this Macbook Air since September 2015 still invite us to her also. Next question, can I use another Mac with a bigger hard drive instead of the MacBook Air? My son told me in the Macbook air because of its features, but the storage for me is imperative. Please notify
Use many small external drives that you can carry in your pocket that connect to the computer via USB 3.0. Shop for them at Amazon.com.
BTW, 4 GBs is the memory of the computer, no storage. MBA come with built-in SSD from 128, 256 or 512 GB capacity. You choose the MBA with the SSD model that best fits. However, once you make the computer cannot be updated.

New Macbook Air - synchronisation issues
I just pick up a new Macbook Air and trying to put it all.
I have connected to my iCloud account but I have problems of synchronization. So far, the only note that my Air acknowledges is those of earlier. All changes I made to those on my ipHone or other Macs not displayed.
I checked the accounts and all my notes of hone are on my iCloud account, that I have connected on my Air.
Can anyone offer any help, please?

MacBook air crashes after the release of sleep since the upgrade of the sierra
Began to notice that since I upgraded my macbook air 2015 to sierra, system crashes. The trigger is always when I wake the sleep system (whether it is by opening cover or press a key). Issue is intermittent and may not be reproduced every time. I contacted apple support and they recommended resetting the SMC (ctrl + shift + cmd) but that didn't help either. I also did a check of filesystem (fsck-fy) and which seems to be very well so.
I noticed others seem to be faced with similar problems and a common theme that I noticed was that both we seem to have an installed tardisk. Not sure if this could be a factor?
While it is not any loss of data, the question is certainly annoying and disruptive to work.

Small vibrations cause damage to Macbook Air?
MacBook Air 13 "early 2015. When I work on my mac on different tables, a small movement can cause a small table vibration that makes Macbook screen, shake (very little, but when even he shakes). I understand that you are not able to open the Contacts application on your MacBook Air running OS X Yosemite. When this issue is produced? Will there be any changes made to your computer?
The first thing I would say is to restart your computer. This system reset is often all that is needed. If the initial restart does not resolve the problem, try to start your computer in safe mode.
OS X Yosemite: start in safe mode
If the problem still persists, if you use iCloud, check that your contacts are at www.icloud.com.
Try to create a new user account. Getting the Contacts app? You can add a contact to it? This will isolate the question to your user account or to a question of scale.
OS X Yosemite: set up users on your Mac.
If the problem turns out to be systemwide, then you should make a backup of your computer using Time Machine.
Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac
Then you can reinstall OS X Yosemite or update your software if your MacBook Air is compatible.
OS X can be installed on the same version or an earlier version of Mac OS X, without deleting your data. You don't need to remove or disable the existing system first.
- Start of OS X Recovery now command-r immediately after start-up or that you restart your Mac. Release the keys when you see the Apple logo. Start-up is finished when you see the OS X Utilities window.

Failed to load the Netflix on Macbook Air?

- Safari will launch, but it will not have your bookmarks, Favorites, history and other preferences, including your Netflix account information so you need to sign in using your credentials for Netflix.
- Determine if you can load and watch a Netflix movie in recovery mode.
Restart your Mac normally and describe your results.

My MacBook Air keeps the re-opening of the minimized programs.
I'll be in the middle of using it when it freezes for a second, then open all programs that I had previously kept to a minimum. Does anyone know how to stop this?

It seems that you are having problems with your MacBook Air on iOS 10.10.5 gel, then opening all the applications that you have reduced. I would find it distracting me then I'll be happy to help you! Be sure to test the issue after each step.
Try safe mode if your Mac does not start -even if the start up your Mac, safe mode will ensure it starts successfully.
How test a question to another user on your Mac account - sounds strangely issue to a software problem. This procedure will determine if it is across your system or only related to your user account.
Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - before going any further, I always recommend a new backup at this stage. It is always better "to have" a backup for a backup "need."
On OS X Recovery - if the problem happen in the user you set up previously, start up your Mac in OS X Recovery and reinstall the operating system.

2015 Macbook Air - download speed between 3 Mbps and 100 kbps avg.
I have a 2 month old Macbook Air El Capitan 10.11.6 running 2015. Since the day I opened the box and connected to the internet, I saw really slow to the Internet until I gave up on streaming audio and video. Connectivity is so bad that pictures on web pages stopped loading.
I made every difficulty I could find online as well as reminded twice technical support to have them tell me to do things that I've done.
The last call, I spoke with a supervisor who is convinced that it is my ISP internet despite all the other computers on my home connection and see downloads 10 x higher than my macbook. (40 MB/s to my 3 Mbps), and the fact that I see bad connectivity no matter what network I'm on. Two things, I told the tech support supervisor. I have appointment of Engineering tomorrow where I'll be very interested to hear their ideas and their solutions.
I have owned 5 5 iPhones, iPads 3, 3 iPods, Macbooks and countless accessories Apple and devices over the past decade. I'm sad to say but my next devices will not be Apple.
My most current iPhone, which is a year and a half old, is slowly dying as the touch screen loses the changes and external buttons stop working. The two-year mark, it'll be a brick. Just in time for an upgrade of $400!
Honestly, I'm shocked at how Steve Jobs for this company. I never would have guessed that her crazy quality control and standards have actually been driving Apple light insofar as it goes to the pot, a few years after his death.
