MacBook Air shutdown correctly

I have a Macbook Air (13 inch, early 2015) race Sierra.

When I shut down my computer it powers not normally turned off. I click on "Stop" in the Apple menu. The screen goes black but the backlight remains lit and lighting under the keyboard. It stays like that for more than 20 minutes before apparently power off.

The only way I can get to close normally, if I hold the power for 10 seconds. But this isn't the normal way and it comes up with a message the next time that I boot saying that it was not shut down properly.

I upgraded to El Capitan in Sierra during the last day, but it made no difference. The problem is ongoing for about 2 weeks. I've owned the laptop since new about 1 year ago and it has worked flawlessly until now.

The problem occurs regardless of whether the computer is powered or battery-operated. I have not modified the computer or used new material, given that the problem occurred.

Any help would be appreciated

OK so I managed to solve this problem, based on useful information in another thread (macOS Sierra presents a serious problem that must be treated quickly)

The problem is that if you have MySQL running on startup, Sierra cannot stop, probably because he is unable to stop MySQL or processes that are running.

The way to fix this is to go to preferences > MySQL. Uncheck the option that runs MySQL to start automatically. You can also manually stop the process in your current session, but when I tried my Macbook froze.

Restart your Mac. Next time you stop, it should work normally.

It seems to be a serious problem between Sierra and MySQL here. You should not stop/start MySQL manually; and it will be extremely painful for developers like me who use MySQL on a daily basis. Apple - and if necessary Oracle - should work on dealing with this together.

  • Poor quality of its MacBook Air

Recently I noticed quality bad speaker on the left speaker on my MacBook Air 13.3 (early 2015).

The sound is like white noise whenever I play loud music on my computer but I can only hear it when the bass is low or the highs are high, for example, whenever listening to someone talking, "s" sounds are white noise.

I usually clean my computer (keyboard, trackpad, etc.) with a damp cloth. Water could go in the left speaker, and that's why he sounds bad?

In addition, my computer is a little crack. Could that also change the quality of the left speaker?

  • OS El Capitan on Macbook Air is blocked even on reboot

Hello, I have a Macbook Air El Capitan that hung, several open applications and is still clinging even to reboot. The mouse does not work, so I can't even close individual applications to try to identify the culprit. Open applications are email, Firefox, calendar, Messages, Kindle, Bluetooth keyboard configuration (unintentionally open). Someone knows how to fix? Force Quit doesn't shut it down just recharged and breaks down until I can close apps correctly. Thank you!

    Hello there DivotGirl,

Looks like you turn on your computer and it responds immediately. I begin by starting in safe mode to delete some system-level caches and perform a disk check and repair if necessary:

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

  • a macbook air connects to another network wifi not

    Hi all

I visit a friend, and we have two laptops, iPhone and iPad with us. The iPhone and iPad connected without problem. Ditto for the new 13 macbook air inches. The second oldest macbook air is somehow stuck. I guess the network files are corrupt. Who should I remove? I restart the router and macbook air. I tried a clean profile, and yet, I get an error message... Sometimes it says password invalid or unknown error just. I know that the password is correct, and since I doubt my sanity have had several people enter or check it out.

    Thanks for the help,

PS: Both are running any new version of El Capitan

A user using different admin for any reason seemed to have done the trick...

  • C external drive for MacBook Air

I need an external drive C ONLY for transfer applications such as TurboTax, iBank, etc disc to hard drive on the MacBook Air. Bought an external drive of C & computer recognize no more disc stuck in drive C. visit mandatory at the Genius Bar to eject the disc. Genius used Apple and immediately recognized hard drive. My very small requirement & will use player for videos, music, photos, etc. Probably use no more than 3 times a year. Intended to save a few $$$ to by not buying is not Apple drive.

I'm on the right track? Number of external market readers if some should work correctly. Now very hesitant, but he must overcome this obstacle.

    Thank you

What is external drive C you mentioned? External DVD drive? It is probably not entirely compatible with your MacBook Air.

If you have another Mac that has the DVD player, DVD sharing would be best way rather than using your C drive.

  • MacBook Air for Docking Station connection problem

I am trying to connect a MacBook Air to another monitor via a Kensington docking station, but they do not communicate. The additional monitor is sent immediately to sleep. If I connect Air to the monitor directly everything works fine, but I want to simplify my life with the docking station. Anyone have any ideas?

Well, I understood the question. It seems that the original DisplayLink software I was using was not correct. After connecting with Kensington, they gave me info on a new beta driver and it works fine.

  • iCloud keeps asking for password on iPad, iPhone, and Macbook Air

I have a Mini iPad, iPhone 6 and Macbook Air, which is still invited to enter my password to iCloud.  All have BONES perfectly up-to-date.  On the iPad, I did a full erase and restore, nothing helps.  Since then, I also signed on iCloud and signed in on the iPad, I have not tried who still on other devices.  My iCloud username is an @me.com format, so I made sure that all newspapers in places (FaceTime, iTunes Store, messaging, etc., use this journal, even if I have a @icloud.com email too.)  I disabled 2 authentication and password specific to the Messages and FaceTime App.

It seems to have something to do with email in particular.  On the Macbook Air from Apple email program, I get a message on the main window connection failed, and then the iCloud account is set offline.  I have to retype the iCloud password and/or exit and restart messaging to operate.

Another thing pointing to the problem being with email that I have disabled all Push email for the iPad, and the password are stopped.  Then, when I try to retrieve messages manually, the prompt is displayed again.

I'm out of ideas.  One thing I did not must give a new password, to disconnect all devices, then add them, one by one.

Any help would be really appreciated.

    Thank you

  • MacBook Air mid 2012 - SSD failure but now normal work?

I have a macbook air mid-2012, it worked very well but had no veen used for about 2 months. I had installed osx el capitan and the car was completely empty except for the new facility. I start the computer normally, but after I tried to launch safari, computer froze and the screen went black, but the mouse was still there. I turn off the cpu using the power button, but when I rebooted I had the flashing icon. I tried to boot into recovery mode, wouldn't work not and went straight to the restoration of the internet. Using the internet recovery mode I tried to go and repair the hard drive, but it was not visible, I tried to install a new copy of Mac OS x, but it wasn't visible to install with HDD. I took the macbook air to an authorized repair center and the macbook started showing a circle with a bar slash through it like a Tux no sign, no flashing icon of the folder. They ran diagnostics and told that the DSS did not. The price of replacemwnt was more that the laptop was worth (almost $700)

I went home upset, but now this morning I correct start-up of the laptop and he gave me a sign of Apple with a gray loading bar theb started normal. I weaves in disk utility to perform the audit of diagnosis on the ssd and it came back as everything was ok.

What could happen? Why it quit working but now work ok? I need to give this phone a friend for a gift but cannot do so if the ssd will soon Miss. Should I jist cough a little money and get a replacement hard drive and install it myself because this ssd is going bad? Its a 256 GB ssd and it kills me...

    Thank you!

It's only a guess, but there may be a connection that is defective and sometimes disconnect the SSD drive.

    Ciao.

  • Safari does not not on the MacBook Air

My father has a MacBook Air, (which I use sometimes when I'm not at my desk).

Now when I use Safari (and this has always been a problem because he got) for some reason when I reopen it Safari opens the last page I visited.

At first, I thought the setting in the Safari preferences where malfunctioning, however on further inspection they are correct and the same as my Mac mini to open with the start page.

Someone now why safari behaves this way? It always opens the previous page when I want to open it with the start page, but the settings say that he should do.

When you reopen Safari, hold down the SHIFT key and launch Safari.

The windows of the last session will not be restored.
