  After update El Capitan 10.11.4 my Mac reboots by itself or stop, the update is not completely done as my Mac keeps freezing everything by restarting...   What I would do is to backup your data on an external drive,

  Restart the mac while holding the ⌘R until the apple logo appears and wait until the boot process is completed. It may take more time to start.

  Once in recovery mode select your preferred language, click on update or reinstall a copy of OS X., select your drive and wait for the process to do. (Also click on continue and accept all that)

  One time did Shutdown and finished reinstall then start in recovery mode again (⌘R) and then click on restore Time Machine backup and then use the backup that you have saved on your external drive. Do you know how to use time machine to back up data in system preferences?

  I wanted to update my MAC Book (mid-2010 - 7.1) with chip Ram 2 x 4 GB of Kingston. I got the last race of El Capitan, and even with just 2x2gb it actually works very well.

  I bought two Kingston KVR16LS11/4 - with 1600 MHz. The dealer told me that it will work with any MACBook.

  So I installed the two chips and nothing happens after that I press the Start button. ?!?!

  Do something wrong? The chips are not fair? I was wondering if maybe the frequency of chips is high priority - but I always thought, that the system it will operate at a lower frequency if necessary.

  Any chance of getting the chips running?

  I find that some applications (Safari, reminders, Notes, etc.) are freeze after several hours of use.   Back on the MacBook gives solves problems, but only for about eight hours or more.

  If your model has replaceable memory by the user and you have upgraded modules of memory, please reinstall the original memory and see if there is any improvement. Make sure not to touch the Gold contacts. Clean them with a mild solvent such as rubbing alcohol. Spare memory must exactly match the technical specifications of the machine.

  Apple diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test, as generally unreliable, sometimes detects a fault. A negative test may not be depended on. Run the long version of the test, if necessary.

  I struggled for a few days to the new installation of Windows 10 on my MacBook Air mid 2012, 13 ". I just upgraded to El Capitan, but my bootcamp still shows the version 5.0.4 (473) when I go to install Windows 10 via USB bootable 64 bit, bootcamp opens with "older versions of Windows are not supported. Please use a Flash DRIVE or a Dvd that contains Windows 7 or later. "I don't know how update bootcamp separately, because the only updated to bootcamp 6 can I download is a .exe, which does not work on my Mac. Is there a way to get around this? Am I missing something? I also saw on other forums where there is a menu actions in bootcamp to download windows drivers, but my bootcamp is not a drop Action. The usb key that I use is a Samsung 32 g (fat32) 3.0 flash drive. Help, please. Thanks for your time :)

  1 is it possible have two installations of Mac OS X or your upgrade is not yet complete. Please check the about this Mac and confirm.

  2 has been upgraded to El Capitan made using the App Store?

  3. you have more than one boot disk for your Mac?

  4. you can always re - run the upgrade of El Capitan, which will be re-install/update the missing files.

  5. What is the name of the .exe file that you can download? What is the source?

  6. If possible, use a USB2 flash drive. USB3 drives can cause problems.

• El Capitan 10.11.6 updating only not on the App Store update list

  I just installed iTunes 12.4.2 and El Capitan 10.11.6 but only iTunes does appear in the list of the App Store updates 'updates installed in the last 30 days.  Have never seen this before.  Restarted App Store app a few times and restarted the computer.  System seems to work very well.  Not a major problem, but thought I would mention it.

  Even here, also oddly I had raw update 6.20 as requiring installation, even if it had been in June. iMac is saying his 10.11.6 but you say its not no projection in App store updates.

Half of my apps have been updated last night for example snapchat' now my snapchat app is still faded and wait under the last 12 hours. It doesn't let me go in there or remove it.   I tried to install the app from appworld on my phone app. and it would just reinstall the version on the app that was there. There was an update of the application if you searched FRO the app themselves as the current version, but when I downloaded and tried to install it, it would install the previous version. Hense the post.  In the meantime, I went to appworld on my pc and pulled up to the app and it showed the correct version ther so I dl by using the QR Code the phone installed the old version AGAIN!  It was after several reboots uninstall install ect.  Well the last time I returned to my world on appworld on the phone and here when I clicked on the application, it has shown that an update is available for the version that I had just dl less than 5 min prior. The phone have not installed the new version, he installed former and placed the new in the updated Guide. I ran the update and everything is working normally.
