MacBook Pro 15 "retina, end of 2013, black screen of

I had been on a trip, using the mac to the airport before our last flight, closed the lid (standby mode). Placed in the bag next to my Tablet back (usually had a little space between them). When I got home I tried to reactivate and at first thought he died. power cord plugged in and he was charging yellow, left charging for a wile then tried to start it, after several reboots, I saw that he seemed to be starting but just no display (I saw the Apple turned on, and caps lock led) if I listened with attention I could here the boot sound. A day later, I found a small HDMI TV and cable, hooked to the TV and as I suspected had image and a machine perfectly functional but not display. At this point, he began to display what appeared to be the symbol of apples cut into small pieces, then spread over the screen like a slinky. (see image below). I then closed the lid to put to sleep (so that I could do the same thing) and image TV remained, so I reopened the laptop screen and Wallah, the screen was back to normal. He works since then but I am afraid ir can return. is this switch in the lid, a UPS driver, graphics, software or what?

You can exclude any hardware problem by running Apple Hardware Test.

Better to detect a problem now rather than later.
