  Note that you can work with two screens and drag and drop the image to display on the other window.

  I think you mean working temporarily with the window enlarged image without displaying all the tools and panels.

  My advice: take the time to read the above help and especially to look at ways to maximize this window if you are on Mac or Win.

  Make sure the jpg has embedded sRGB profile.

  The symptoms you describe are typical of images with Adobe RGB or ProPhoto read in an application that does not support color management.

  Is the amount in Lightroom sharpening correspond to the amount in Photoshop CS6; and that's how sharpness works? I love the sharpness masking feature, especially when it is used with the Alt key, showing how masking is applied.  Is this what that act as the sharpness of the PS?

  There is a difference between the capture sharpening and output sharpening. The general idea is to get the image (captured from the camera or scanner) just edges in LR develop (but not too strong) or apply then exit sharpening that you export the photo to a specific size and the object e.g. web or print.

  I have not returned only occasionally a tiff or PSD from LR to Photoshop. I tend to use sharpness as a specialized tool for final output, sharpening, for example up - rez a special image beyond the original pixel dimensions. or in an action applied to a batch of images. Otherwise, I stay in Lightroom. Of course SS will allow you to apply the filter on a layer and you can then set the mode of merger if necessary and use other Photoshop tools.

  Fix Photoshop is a mobile application that is designed for mobile devices. For your MacBook Pro, you'll need to (full version) Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. Mobile applications do not work on OS X.
