MacBook Pro EtreCheck said below-average performance

I've seen people with a range of rotation post a list of less than average performance EtreCheck. I read on the limitation of the spotlight to documents and on uninstall security, in my case (I noticed that it much) of Symantec and uninstalling MacKeeper. I also have the Cocktail. Must I first uninstall all the people?

Everyone sees other problems? I've been on a Mac since 1987, but I'm a designer, I do not understand the report.

I have the beach ball on my Mac: a mid-2011, iMac 27 in., 16 GB of ram, running in mid-2012 El Cap 10.11.4 and a 15 MacBook Pro, 8 GB, same OS El Cap.

Any help is very appreciated, the slowless makes me crazy!

Bruce

  • MacBook Pro automatically turning off Wifi; Can't go back

    Hello world

I have a brand new MacBook Pro. Specs below:

    El Capitan 10.11.3

MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, early 2015)

Processor: Intel Core i5 at 2.9 GHz

    Memory: 16 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

Graphics card: Intel Graphics Iris 6100 1536 MB

I use WiFi when all of a sudden it will slow down my speed to a crawl, then * poof * my WiFi turns off by itself. I try to go on the menu at the top right to reactivate it, not good. I try to go to system preferences / network to try to turn it back on, even when not go. I tried to turn off other connections, I tried to add a new location with custom DNS settings (as I read in some articles, such as http://osxdaily.com/2015/10/16/fix-wi-fi-problems-mac-os-x-el-capitan/). None of that worked, the only way that I can not even WiFi to turn back is to restart my machine.

Elsewhere on this forum that I read that this could be a problem to upgrade, but since this is a brand new machine I don't think that applies to me. Needless to say that this is a very frustrating issue, and I have yet to see real solutions. I know other people have experienced the same problem, but has anyone had any solve positive results? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

You have 90 days of free telephone support when you buy a new Mac. Scripts and the patience to methodically work through the possibilities with you people.

Don't forget not to take 'I don't know' as an acceptable answer. If she still has a problem, you still want a solution or a repair. And press the button.

It happens about any application (especially chromium, but also iMovie, TextEdit, Messenger, Finder, etc.). It will work correctly for 30-60 seconds give the rotation for 30 seconds beach ball, then works again then beach ball.

What do you see in the activity monitor to suggest that the RAM is fine?

The EtreCheck report shows that you have only 33MB of free RAM in time, which can only cause slowdowns. Google Chrome only takes 1.3 GB of it. Chrome is a Devourer of enormous resources, so if possible, try to quit smoking by using another browser.

This is the screen shot I could captures - it resolves after a few minutes.

The screenshot appears, but according to your description, this is clearly a hardware problem, or bad memory or a defect logic board. If you have replaced the memory modules with spare parts, please reinstall the original memory and see if there is an improvement. Otherwise, an appointment 'Genius' on an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service center.

  • EtreCheck on slow macbook pro pls HELP!

Hi - I made a clean of El Capitan installation after that I erased everything on my macbook, because of the amount of waste for 3 years. But now he runs even slower that before I erased everything. And he constantly beachballing and freezer a lot since the clean install. PS. I also got El Capitan 10.11.2 before but now its 10.11.3 if it has something to say.

Someone from the community suggested that an EtreCheck was a good idea to tell if there is a problem. If anyone can help me with what's going on?

MDworker is the job that creates the Spotlight index.

I wondered if the part of the question with Yosemite and El Capitan is slow after upgrade is all that reindexing.

Menu utilities - activity monitory - check the MDS and the MDworker to see if they show great use of CPU.

  • MacBook Pro very slow / EtreCheck report available

    Hello!

For awhile, my Mac is really slow. It takes about 2 minutes to start, apps are returned for e period very extended before the launching and execution is really slow at all. I reinstalled the OS El Capitan several times, but it's not help. The SMC thing has also been reset. So today, I found this app that checks to see what is happening to your Mac and reports that information but I don't understand anything except that the performance is poor.

    Here's the report:

I would be so happy if someone can help me solve this mess.

Rid the MBP of the torrent application. It has an excellent vehicle to introduce malicious software on a Mac.

Start the recovery partition and select in menu 4 disk utility. Run disk utility > first aid > repair.

    Ciao.

  • How can I fix slow startup of the computer and the applications on mid 2009 MacBook Pro? (EtreCheck included)

Hello! Can anyone help me in this state of EtreCheck to understand what I need to do to improve performance with my MacBook Pro? The computer is slow to respond after the computer starts. Apps are also slow to load. Once I have apps open, the speed is satisfactory. It just seems to have the hiccups a lot just to get there.

Good advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

If you experience a kernel panic, then the above is not very useful. We need to see the panic log: Mac OS X-how to connect to a kernel panic. You should visit The FAQ XLab and read the FAQ on the diagnosis of the kernel panics. See also, How to fix the kernel panics after installation of OS X updates | MacIssues and OS X-all panicking kernel.

Your diagnostic information suggest that panic can be linked to the use of FireFox. Try to start in Safe Mode. If you have no panic, then start combing through your third party applications or installed in the modules for the problem.

  • Below average a performance on El Capitan

I've upgraded to El Capitan. A painful process with another performance "below average" according to Etrecheck. I ran that the Linc Davis extended script once again. Here is the link to the Pastebin:

If anyone can help? What's wrong? Why is it lower than average?

    Thank you

  • EtreCheck & GeekBench 3, evaluation of the Macbook Pro

My Macbook Pro has been constantly been too slow in terms of open any application, open any file and graphics intensive anything running. I get a spinning beachball animation almost everytime I click on something. I ran a benchmark EtreCheck and ask me for help on what is perhaps exactly the cause of this based on the benchmark index. In addition, I used 3 Geekbench for another test of reference and the results as seen in the picture as an attachment. Thank you very much for your help!

    Uninstall the following programs worthless;

    Avira

    CleanMyMac3

    Intego

After removing these programs using the procedures to uninstall for them and do not do just a drag & drop them into the trash. All programs of the pieces themselves everywhere in the OS on your Mac and the only way to get rid of all the crud is to use the uninstall procedure.

Once you do this, please run another report from EtreCheck and post it here. So that we can be sure that it is not something that we've missed.

  • Very slow Macbook Pro (2012), please help with report EtreCheck

    Hi all

My Macbook runs very slowly, I tried a number of things suggested online but none worked. I recently went to a repair shop and they suggested it could be to do with the dataflex (not sure if this was exactly, but I remember it sounding similar.) They described as a hard drive to another internal component connection, sorry for the inaccuracy.) I have me am replaced, but this did not help either.

I downloaded the software EtreCheck and I was wondering if someone could help me to make light of the report on possible solutions? I have the feeling that it could be the hard drive needs to be replaced, but have no evidence of that. Verification has been run for the problem of "Beachballing" and got the sub report, please let me know if more info would be helpful. I hope it's telling in a way!

    Thank you for the pointers.

    Hello mrdivorce,

It looks like of course as evidence of a hard drive failing for me. Hard drives 2.5 "in the MacBook Pro tend to fail after 2-3 years. Judging by the date on your MacBook, I think that your time is up. Maybe try to find a different repair store. Looking for Service Center authorized Apple (https://locate.apple.com/).

I suggest upgrading to an SSD and increasing your RAM too. Then you have the hardware to run the last OS X 10.11.
