  • Backup of files in TimeMachine iCloud drive

I just above has migrated to a MacBook 12 '' Air of Macbook using Time Machine and noticed that my 2.4 GB of iCloud drive files are downloaded rather than migrating to the TimeMachine. This suggests that these files are not be saved locally, which is relative.

Is it true that Time Machine does not back up iCloud locally stored files?

Apparently, the files are backed up and stored in ~/library/mobile documents based on the following thread:

Does not save icloud to Time Machine when you create on a Mac

Indeed, I see my files in there, but I'm confused why these files have not been restored to the new machine and instead the entire library is to be re-uploaded. Fortunately, I had ~ 2 GB, but it would take hours for a larger library.

Does anyone know if it is possible to restore the Time Machine backup files and let the iCloud to update as needed? It would appear more sensible and more similar to other cloud solutions.

But in the calendar, I have several entries and events dating back to the 1990s that I still sometimes have to find. You need to re-index your Spotlight cache files. Some users have had to re-index the calendar items. However, before you start trying to bugs, if your calendars are synchronized, you can try to remove the addition. System Preferences > iCloud, clear the calendar check box, and then add it again. Give it time to delete files.

Check first under the Privacy tab in Spotlight. If the boot volume, or any volume where your data resides is listed, remove the. Spotlight will begin immediately the amount of indexing. Check back later and you should be able to find the items in Spotlight.

Hi there, HMILLER75. Thank you for using communities of support from Apple!

It seems that if you get a reminder that there is not actually on your MacBook Pro, which has been upgraded to macOS Sierra. You have made a huge step in troubleshooting, but since it did not help I have a few extra steps for you.

With the reminders on your Mac app, close it using the Menu option (callbacks > reminders Quit) then hold down the SHIFT key left while the reopening of reminders to clear the cache.

  • Uninstallation macOS Sierra

Last night, I installed the full version of the Sierra and then this morning to the dismay, found that QuickBooks 2015 is not compatible with the Sierra. So, rather than be forced to move as my QB files online for a monthly fee or pay another $200 to get QB 2016, which is compatible with Sierra, I want to go back to El Capitan. But how can I safely do this?

  • macOS Sierra keeps freezing

I installed Sierra on my MacBook Pro a few days ago, and several times it froze. First the computer stops responding to my external mouse. About 30 seconds later it stops responding to the keyboard and trackpad. I have to force a reboot. Why is this?

Perhaps relevant: according to activity monitor, kernel_task frequently uses now several hundred (and sometimes more than 2,000) percentage of my CPU. Who would have thought that was possible?

Back up your Mac if you have not already done so. Read https://www.apple.com/support/backup/to learn how to do this please. To learn how to use Time Machine read to use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac.

Then, shut down your Mac and restart in 'Safe Mode '. To learn how to do it please read: try safe mode if your Mac does not start-up. Compare works your Mac in Mode for how safe it was.

Then restart normally. If the same problem comes back, please read the section If a problem does not occur in safe mode for actions recommended to Apple.

Finally, you can temporarily create a new user account and log into this account to determine if the problem also exists when connected to this account. To learn how to read How to test a question to another user on your Mac account. When you are finished troubleshooting, you can remove the temporary user account by following these instructions: macOS Sierra: remove a user or a group. Before you delete, confirm that you have not need of all the files that you have possibly set in this account.

  • Downgrade macOS Sierra El Capitan question

    Hi all

earlier today, I upgraded my Mac mini (end 2012) to the latest version of macOS Sierra.

After 1 hour of use, I realized that many of my plugins FCPX were not working.

I contacted the developers, and they said does not update the plugins and they told me to go back to El Capitan.

I decided to listen to them and try to downgrade my OS.

I restarted the Mac and held down Cmd - R or something like that that took me to the disk utility screen.

Then I went down to dinner, and when I returned 30 minutes later my Mac had entered the sleep mode for some reason any.

I woke up the Mac and 40 seconds later the power went out for 5-10 minutes.

After the blackout, I restarted my Mac that took me to a black screen with a flashing question mark folder.

I followed some tutorials online (including how to enter get - and the recovery of internet mode), but after a while even restoration of the internet shows me the flashing question mark folder.

I don't know what to do.

And no - unfortunately I don't have a Time Machine backup.

But I have a backup with all my most important files.

Is it possible to force the Mac to reset itself or something like that?

    Help, please.
