• Contribute and 2 css files

  I created a site for a client in Dreamweaver using css for font style. I also use the tab bar magic of the project seven, which has its own css file. My client is using Contribute and only the menu css. He is confused with so many styling options and begins to use the styles of P7TBM, that do not work well for our content. Is it possible to hide a css style sheet in Dreamweaver or?

  If you put the PVII code in a template in a non editable area, then
  Attach the PVII CSS to the template only... do the PVII styles
  still appear in the child pages of Contribute?

• Get rid of contribute

  I inherited a website that apparently many years ago has been implemented for Macromedia Contribute. When I go to edit a number of pages, I get a message, something like "this page has been extracted by so-and-so" should I replace. Nobody in the current organization never heard of this person, and I would like to disable Contribute altogether. How can I do?

  It happens only on a few documents?

  not on the most recent?

  first-check that contribute picked correctly.
  If you do not contribute, do it manually.
  Use a different ftp client, connect to the remote and look for a folder
  named _mm that contains contribute.xml if found, delete it.

  so if this isn't a lot of files, I would end up in dw. Connect, unzip the files
  Panel and see if there is a topic in the section remote for the State. so
  You can see the files extracted. There is also a menu item to select
  and I think that if you do a right click on the folder root of the remote control, there is a
  Right-click point to select the locked items.

  or, using the third-party ftp client, track down and remove each xxxx. LCK
  file on the remote control.

• Windows wants to install Contribute

  I have more contributed 3 on my computer. When I use Windows Explorer and right click on a file or remove an item from my office, or sometimes when I run a program such as Microsoft Word, a box pops up that says "Please wait while Windows configures Macromedia Contribute 3. Then he asks my CD. If I click Cancel when the first message, message 2 once more and I must keep the cancellation.

• Contribute admin error: maximum number of users exceeded site

  We had a mixture of Contribute 3, 4 and the new CS3 with contribute Publishing Server 1.1, login via LDAP to our environment Active Directory, which we ran more than a year. We suddenly encountered a strange series of problems. Almost all user input in the Administration page been marked with a red line - as they would be if - last updated an error "user not in the directory" even if it's 1) are in AD 2) we can check the accounts in the SPC Panel and 3) they can log in and edit their pages very well. Suddenly, the red lines went away, but when we try to add new users, we get the message "User site exceeded limit". That should be impossible because we bought 250 licenses of Contribute and CPS, and we added only 100 users so far. The only things that have changed are recently 1) we have added a new ad server and 2) we have improved our admin users with CS3 so that everybody turns always 3.11 or 4. Any ideas?

  To work around this limitation, you can change the ckm.xml file to override the default value of 200.
  * You must save this file before running these steps.* *.

  Stop CPS via the services console by typing services.msc in the run as... window.
  Select Macromedia Contribute Publishing Server, then click on stop.
  Navigate to contribute publishing Server\jrun4\servers\contribute-wps\contribute\WEB-INF\config\ and select the ckm.xml file
  Open the ckm.xml in a Notepad Editor.
  Change the value between the two tags to all number you want 200
  Save the changes
  Restart the server.

• Re-saving dreamweaver

  Hey all.
  Entry in a new workplace and found a license "illegitimate" on a version of Dreamweaver here in the office. In doing the right thing and try to install a license of the company bought, I ran into a brick wall.
  I can't get rid of the old license.
  I deleted dreamweaver files left to count and all the registry keys, I can locate... but the re-install, it still has the old license. How can I get rid of this license and install the new one?

• IDs view distance fall

  I use Dreamweaver 8 on a PC and just upgrading to IE7. IDs cuts now in remote mode in DW.
  I have downloaded and run the 8.0.02 updater for DW8 but the problem still occurs.

  There is a technote on this. In some cases, does not solve the 8.02 updater
  the problem. You can read about it here:

  I would warn that if you change the registry, you must save it first.
  First of all, make sure that installation of 8.02 'caught' and read the technical note full
  carefully.

• Need help with DW Photo Gallery

  I learn the DW the hard way, trial & error. I created my photo album and uploaded. He seems to find, but when I click on the images to enlarge them I get the message "ooops no page not found." What should I do to fix this? I know I'm missing a step.

• Sliding panel away from the default view widget?

  In the user interface of Dreamweaver CS3 at the top just below the toolbar, when I select the number of options, a new set of shortcuts icon appear usually linked to the selection: Common, layout, forms, data, Spry, text, Favorites. However, when I select Spry, the shortcut of Spliding Panel Widget does not appear.
  
  Therefore, I am required to manually enter the markup and the CSS and links linliks to JS, and CSS files that I can move more easily my standard styles and records of scripts, rather than the /SpryAssets/ folder, which is the default folder for these files.
  
  Is he a XML parameter in one of the configuration of DW I forgot to add this icon in my toolbar? Any help would be most appreciated. I realized entered manually in markup, style and scripts to give me a better understanding of how they work together; However, I'm looking for shortcuts and quick delivery now.

  No, the sliding Panel widget was incorporated Spry after the release
  DW CS3 so that you won't see it in the interface. Right now, you will have
  to add it yourself.

• Spry go more than 3 levels?

  Is there a way to show the spry menu go more than 3 levels deep?

  I have not done much with the Spry Menu, but you should be able to copy the
  code for your 3rd level and paste it after the first level 3 and before li
  It's corresponding /li and then change the number of code pasted 3
  4 in each case... and of course in CSS.

  I put the same navigation bar on each page, in the form of 12 cells on the left side of a table. On my new page I list a whole bunch of items, the table becomes longer and longer and slides to the bottom of the page navigation bar. How canI to keep at the top of the page?

  Make sure that the table cell containing the navigation has valign = top.
