Macros on Excel 2016 for Mac

Hello

I have an excel for work file that contains macros. Whenever I have run the macros, it only allows me to open it in the "Read-only" format I just downloaded the Office 365 Personal today because a technician told me that it will correctly open the macros. So, as far as I know, this is the newest version of office 2016. I use a Macbook Pro on El Capitan 10.11.1. Anyone know of any way that open correctly?

The I talked to contact technical support couldn't solve and sent to "support professional" who said that I have to pay for a 365 Business just so I could get "Business Support" and they could fix I hope that my question. Don't know what type of blade support designed, but they recommend that I come here to see if my question could be resolved. It was also the only free resolution, they provided...

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Ask on the forums Microsoft Mac because it is their software you are having problems with. There is MS named MVP here to help.  This forum is for troubleshooting the problems of compatibility between Mac and Windows.

    Hello world

I need to set the first row of a table in Excel 2008 for Mac. I know it should by a button, but don ' t have probably, or is hidden somewhere I checked the point of view, the tools and all the menu, I didn't find, y at - he someone to help me? Thank you

Make sure you are in Normal mode, not Page view

Go to the window in the menu bar and select freeze the panes

Then you should be able to scroll through the sheet with line 1 has left in place.

If you need for example three rows frozen, go to the fourth line and select freeze the panes.

Then you should be able to scroll through the sheet with lines 1 to 3 from left in place.

  • How to create small caps with MS Word 2016 for Mac?

I've scoured the forums Microsoft and Microsoft Help to get instructions on how I can make the small caps in Word for Mac 2016, but nothing helped. I would not have same subscriber to Microsoft Office 365 was not for the fact that I needed it for a freelance assignment.

    Any suggestions?

Select the text. Go to the Format menu and click on fonts. In the police top dialog box where it says advanced font, click Font. In the effects section put a checkmark in front of the small caps.

  • I set up the new user on my MacBook Pro with the parental control, and I want to allow access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint for Mac.  I have those checked in the dialog box list, but they may not appear in its applications. Am I missing something?

I set up a 'user' for my son and use parental controls.  I want to him to have access to Word for Mac, and it appears in the list of applications I can check to allow use for.  However, when we opened a session under his username, these applications do not seem to be anywhere.  When you configure new users, applications such as Word for Mac or the available Pages on users?  I can't find any information to help in this regard.  I don't know if I'm missing something under user put up, or parental controls, or both.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

These requests should be made available, provided you installed then in the folder/applications, not in a private folder ~/Applications for a specific user.

  • Outlook for Mac 2016 Question - not color the backgrounds of emails - no response from MS

Can I add background color to an e-mail message in outlook 2016 for mac? As a solid green or yellow, for example? I can't in 2011 using the tab options. Which is available in 2016 to Outlook for Mac?

No indication of support for MS and Google comes to nothing... Maybe some poor soul like me uses MS Outlook 2016 and knows.

I'm still in 2011 (as part of 365) but have a client who pays me a lot of $$$ but is visually impaired and needs a dark background and a red font. Don't want to upgrade until I know the answer.

    Any response - mucho appreciated!

    Hello

In 2016 to Outlook for Mac, it is not possible using option, click on the smiley and send feedback to Microsoft.

You can do this manually, but it is not perfect.

Select the text, and then click text ☞ of red color.

After that, click Highlightng ☞ of black color.

  • Not accessible Adobe fonts in Word 2011, 2016 to Word for MAC

Adobe fonts appear correctly in the new 2016 for Mac Word (and there are problems with Word 2011, too).  For example, I have Adobe Garamond regular, bold, italic and BoldItalic installed (I had uninstalled Semibold and SemiboldItalic because I wanted the 'bold' to appear as "BOLD" and not Semibold when selecting "Bold" in Word). But the word 2016, when you select Adobe Garamond, there is no true "BOLD" or true bold italic when I select "Bold" or "Italic" (or Adobe Garamond Bold is only a separate autonomous police, on the menu) - only regular and italic.  Same thing with Adobe Caslon Pro.  I had similar problems with Word 2011 for Mac - often the true "BOLD" and for Adobe Garamond BoldItalic will not work.  But I can solve the problem of trashing the Office 2011 police cache and then restart Word.  I can't identify this solution workaround for Word 2016.  (I know it sounds like a social problem or Mac, but it only happens with Adobe fonts).

Interestingly, if I reinstall Adobe Garamond Semibold and Semibold Italic, Word 2016 will give me true Semibold and SemiboldItalic when I select "Bold" and "Italic" in Word.  But true "BOLD" and BoldItalic are nowhere to be found.

    Thank you.

Have you tried to contact Microsoft about this because the fonts appear obviously in FontBook, Adobe applications and applications other than Office without problem. The fact that the clearing the cache of fonts Office 2011 seems to eliminate the problem for you, it would be indicative of what is a Microsoft issue, not a question of Adobe.

  • Word 2016 or mac does not allow me to create a PDF file

I work with the 2016 for mac PC Office and Word always stop when I try to create a PdF document. Any body with the same problem?

    Thank you!

Drive is not capable of creating PDF files. What you use is an internal function of the word, so the question is with this application.

  • I still use the Microsoft Office for Mac 2008. I want to upgrade. Can I switch to Office for Mac 2011 (still available? or do I have to get Office for Mac 2016?)

"I'm still using Microsoft Office for Mac 2008 Home & Student Edition). I want to upgrade. Can I switch to Office for Mac 2011 (still available?) or do I have to get Office for Mac 2016? I use WORD and have a large number of documents created in my genealogy.

Office 2011 always works, even with El Capitan. If you go to the office 2016, then you can only buy the annual subscription $ 99.00 / year. Office 2011 can be found for $139.00.

If you do not require 100% compatibility, you can use the Free Officefree software.

  • 2016 Outlook for Mac, send emails more fails

    Dear Sir or Madam,

With Outlook 2016 on my Macbook Pro, I'm not able to send more than about 10 MB of attachments.  The program accepts multiple attachments of any size, but the transmission fails after trying for about 5 Min.  I get an error message (sorry, my OS is installed with the German):

"Ein auf dem Server ausgefuhrter wurde abgebrochen procedure.  Server der ist possibly hydraulic, die Serververbindung wurde abgebrochen, oder das Netzwerk ist ausgelastet. "(A process on the server has been abandoned.  The server may be overloaded, maybe the connection to the server was interrupted or the network is overloaded).

Then "Senden der nicht possible Email." (Cannot send email.)

    Then: Fehlercode:-1001.  (Error code - 1001).

I can receive emails with attachments of any size; with an old computer with Outlook, I can send attachments of any size using the same e-mail account; and the program of "Mail" Apple can send attachments of any size.

I use: Office 365 for Mac, Macbook Pro, El Capitan, Outlook 2016; e-mail account is POP3, T-Online.

Does anyone have an idea what is happening here?  Does anyone know where the Outlook preferences are stored and how to check or change?  I understand that it is possible to limit the size of the email in preferences, while the not to complain about the size, it can simply to send larger e-mails.

I am happy for any information you can give me.

  • What is the best SSD 2016 compatible Mac for a Mid 2010 13 "MBP?

    Hello

I'm looking for a compatible Mac (no worries) SSD for my Mid 2010 13 "2,4 Ghz MBP.

I can't afford to upgrade to a new MBP. but a 240 GB, 250 GB, 256 GB SSD is desirable.

I've read up, and it seems that the Samsungs are a chore for macs.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

I got excellent results with SSD OCZ and OWC. I also used Samsung 840 and 850 (not professional) without any problem on several of my computers. OCZ and SSD from OWC are quite compatible.
