• Satellite A210 - webcam built-in Chicony 2.0 does not work with MSN

  I have a Toshiba Satellite A210 or also known as the A215 to the United States. I have a webcam Chicony built in 2.0, but more often that otherwise, it will not work. When I'm on MSN, it will come back with the message saying that it is not connected or installed. He decides to work sometimes but most of the time this isn't.

  Even on portable real without using MSN, using Camera Assistant Software, the icon is always in the lower corner on the right, but when I right click on it and choose "Show Toolbar", I then click on "Start Camera" again, he will come even to the top.   When you start your laptop Camera Assistant software stop and try to configure the webcam in MSN. I deleted the Camera Assistant software from the boot list and I don't use any but I can use it with Skype whenever I want.

  It also works with MSN. Just start the Audio and video installation and in step 3, select Chicony USB 2.0 Camera Cam that you want to use. It works with my MSN.

  I had turn automatic updates off the coast of more than 6 months because of complications with an installed update, after it installed I turned on my laptop and view error started to appear for all!   Method 1:

  1. download the stand-alone package with four updates at a time. You can download the stand-alone version of the link with the number of KB below:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads and check if the problem is resolved.

  2. start the clean boot computer and try to install the updates manually. Link below will help you to start the computer in clean boot:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

  Make sure that you reset the computer in normal mode (you can see step 7)

  Try this:

  1 - click on RUN from START menu and type REGEDIT:

  2 - follow path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/MSNMessenger/PerPassportSettings.

  3. under PerPassportSettings, you will find 2 folders named with a series of numbers. Delete the two folders including their subfolders... and restart MSN.

  I recently bought an ASUS Essentio CG5290 computer that uses a 64-bit system.  A few weeks later, I bought an Epson Workforce 600 multiprinter.  I know for sure the Epson multiprinter works perfectly well because I used it on my old Dell Dimension 4600 computer that uses Windows XP (I suspect the system uses a 32-bit).  When it is connected to my ASUS computer which uses Windows Vista, everything works fine until I try to use the scanner.  When I click on the EpsonScan icon I immediately get a Message from Microsoft Windows saying "Epson Scan has stopped working".  A few seconds later, it gives me another message saying: "a problem caused blocking the program works correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. "I never got a 'solution '.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall the printer software to download Windows Vista Service Pack 2.  There are available for the ASUS BIOS, manufacturer downloads, but I have to buy the program WinZip to download.  I'm nervous about messing with the BIOS.  I think that my problem scanner printer has something to do with the ASUS having a 64 bit OS against compliant system to the requirements of the twain_32 printer.  I qualify for the free upgrade to Windows 7 when it is released to the public in October ' 09.  This will solve the problem?  My ASUS has every update of Microsoft Windows to date.  I'm not very computer so any advice is greatly appreciated!

  Did you get the drivers Vista 64 of Epsom first and install according to the requirements of the Epsom, which is usually to install software / drivers prior to the connection of the printer
