Mail is delete emails completely

Hi all

I have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, mid 2010) to operation El Capitan 10.11.4 and many years of use Mail (currently 9.3).

In the last two months, I noticed that mails disappeared completely from the Inbox. I could see the email on the right devices until I opened the Mail on MacBook Pro when some messages will disappear. They are no longer on the server (iCloud) and therefore cancels out on iOS devices. They are not in the trash, spam or any where else. A search for email is delivered empty. I know what to look for so that I can briefly see the message on the notifications on the iOS device.

It's now at the point where I'm hesitant to open the mail for fear of losing mail items. If I leave Mail open, the incoming message appears briefly on the display of notification on the iOS device and when I try to read it, it will disappear, never to be seen.

It is not affected by the sender WHO, and whether they are in my address book or not, they always disappear.

I tried to rebuild the Inbox, but that the message is no longer on the server, it does not help.

I'm open to suggestions. Thank you very much

Have you implemented a "rule".

Applications > Mail.app > Preferences... > rules

who has "Delete the Message" for his action?

  • Why can I not use Yahoo mail? It will not delete emails. Google chrome does right. Fix it or you will lose our business

Yesterday, August 22, Mozilla has undergone a massive rupture and complete in the treatment of Yahoo. Initially I thought it was a virus. I immediately passed to Google Chrome & worked on it without difficulty throughout the day. Yahoo was to push all the data/items on the left side of the screen. Who set to date, August 23. HOWEVER, with Yahoo mail problem. Out of the blue, it is impossible to delete emails Yahoo on Mozilla. If you single click to select a list of deleted emails, they automatically opens. There is no "delete" at the top of the screen to get rid of. It is very annoying. Someone is playing with your system (alone). Google Chrome & Microsoft Explorer works great all day. FIX IT!

  • How can I get this program to automatically delete messages, he pulls my e-mail off my email online online?

When the mails downloaded from my email online, they stay on my email online causing it do beyond its storage limit. How can I configure it to delete emails from my online account, once he sent?

ENTRANTS: account1, (imap) mail.reforyou .net: 143, alwaysSTARTTLS, passwordCleartext

Therefore your IMAP account. With IMAP, all mail is handled on the server, and what you see in Thunderbird is basically a mirror of what is on the server. If you delete a message in Thunderbird, it to is also deleted on the server and vice versa.

"to delete the mails from my online account', you will need to move messages from the server to your local folders account.

Since you don't seem to have any idea that IMAP is all about, POP may be the best choice for you. With the POP protocol messages are automatically deleted from the server to playback.

You cannot simply convert an existing to a POP account IMAP account, you must first create a pop account.

Note, if you do, you can download a large amount of messages at the start, and they will be deleted from the server and then.

  • How can I recover a permanently deleted email from the junk e-mail folder in the Windows Live Mail client?

    Hello

I got an email that was in my folder of spam on June 1, 2011.  Rather than consider this email, I clicked on the 'X' box that appeared next to my Junk folder in my Windows Live Mail client.  This permanently deleted email in my spam folder.  I wish I had this email restored in order to see what it was.  Is there a way to do this?  Thank you!

If the message is not found in the deleted items folder, it went.

System is not responding. Removal of e-mails causes aging out of the entire screen. Sometimes it is non-gris, but it doesn't always. • Deleted emails are not going in the file 'delete '.

I have Windows 98 and you use Outlook Express for e-mail.  In the last days, I find that when 'remove' email, thinking it will in the file 'delete' - he's not here.  Only those e-mails I delete without opening (spam or readings) go to the file to delete.  Where are the others, and how can we fix this problem?

First: discover | Current view. Make sure Show all Messages is enabled.

Remembering that Win98 has not been supported over the years, you may just have a little corruption of dbx file.

Move the messages you want to record off deleted items and sent items. Locate the OE message store and then close OE.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

With OE closed, find the Deleted Items.dbx and Sent Items.dbx files and delete them. New files will be created automatically when you open OE.

Compact all folders as described below.

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

  • cannot delete emails

I can't delete emails on Outlook Express. I have an old computer with Windows XP

Deleted items is probably damaged. On the off chance that you want messages to be saved in deleted items, (a garbage can), move them to a local folder, you create and then follow these steps.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the files of user OE (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the DBX file for deleted items and delete it.  Another will be created automatically when you open OE.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.
