• Make pseudo migration cold with free ESXi 3.5 VI Client?

  Even if I used VMware products for years (Workstation, Server), I'm still pretty new to ESXi.  I started using the free ESXi with the idea to be able to live migration between ESXi hosts.  However, I then discovered that you can't do vMotion with free stuff.  No biggie; I probably don't need it anyway.  All I really need is the ability to move virtual machines between ESXi hosts.  I'd settle for migration cold.  However, after reading the article on migration in the basic manual Admin, it seems I have to use Virtual Center to be able to do.  Am I wrong?  And I'll take it, Virtual Center is not a free download.

  But do I really need to Virtual Center to move virtual machines between ESXi hosts?  It seems to me that I could just use VI client to do a migration of the nickname 'cold '.  Is there something wrong with the following scenario:

  1. all VM files are kept on a central NFS server.

  2. I stopped the VM on HostA.

  3. Add the virtual machine to host b inventory.

  4 remove the virtual machine from the inventory of the HostA.

  5. I turn the VMS on host b.

  I went the same route. I started to want to learn web design and the Muse is an excellent tool. The code it generates, however, not to use it in Dreamweaver. This could be done, I think this isn't worth it, even for a real Geek. Once you get to Muse you will find there are things missing, stuff, you want to do, but are just tough in Muse or you can buy a widget. It is possible in DW and you get which through subscription, so it makes sense. Me what I know now, I'll go directly to DW to learn, except if you want results right now. If you don't want something to cause I stay with Muse and maybe learn to animate CC to add some pizazz to the site. If you only want a simple layout and a couple supporting stick with Muse pages if you want a larger site use DW.   I have problems with the latest update of Adobe Flash Player to release 11. I'm on a Mac (10.6.8) the 64-bit kernel. For the moment, I installed Flash Player 11, every website with Flashcontent crashes. This also happens in Chrome, not just Safari or Firefox. I did everything what Adobe offers as possible solutions. Do with the uninstaller uninstall, then install it fresh. I got a glance of the folder Plugins from the Internet to make sure that all got deleted properly. But the new facility will not work.

  What works is to uninstall Flash Player 11 and reinstall Flash Player 10.3. Then, everything works like a charm. Well well... except in Chrome, of course.

  As a last piece of information: I never had all versions beta or alpha of the installed drive.

  Can someone help me please? Someone else this problem?

  Thank you very much, Alex, to provide the fonts for me. I'm not on the Flash team, but am in the development of Type, so my interest for fonts and my experience that 'unknown' policies can be malformed. I use a MacBook Pro 17-inch Mac OS x 10.6.8. I installed the fonts in my ~/Library/Fonts folder, and Flash block now on a regular basis. A screenshot of what I feel chrome is attached. So, if you simply remove the KozGo*.ttf files (use ' % rm ~ / Library/Fonts/KozGo*.ttf ' to remove them), the problem may disappear.

  If that takes you to the Apache Web server, then you must set it as your default.

  News added: it is possible that both are listening on port 80 and IIS is a winner. To reconfigure IIS, open it and site web by default, you must change the site link. Http must be on port 8080.

  If Apache is already set to port 80, then you will not need to do anything else. I think that is fair. I don't know how to set up Apache to listen on port 80 if it is defined on port 8080. I do not have to look at.

  Make sure that you stop and restart your web services.

The operation consisted in the determination of a small, constant lookup table the highest value that is less than a column. So I have this array of so-called transation, with some traits of hundreds:

  Now when I try to aggregate the table using parallelism, I get a lot of waits 'latch free '. With 4 parallel sessions for example, looking at the graphs in 'EM, I get about 2.5 sessions on CPU and 1.5 on waiting 'latch free '. I have the impression of reading around that the wait could be due to a hot block in index table of ref_trad or something similar. I tried several things, such as the use of the tables of index_organized or the partitioning of the tiny table_reference, hoping to get more parallelism, without spectacular results. So my questions to those who know it are the following:
  
  -How to determine with precision the cause for waiting latch_free events? (e.g., the hot block, the piece of PL/SQL code, etc.)
  Is there some sort of mode of implementation of a standard and efficient lookup table? (I've heard on the loading table in a PL/SQL table, would it be useful? No matter what pointer on how to do this? )
  -Why should there be contention in the first place in this case, because all the search logic is read-only?

  Trace your SQL, search slaves PX trace files, look for the settings for event wait - and you here. Another option is to use one of the scripts of Tanel Poder - waitprof.

  Not sure about a 'standard', but it's a good thing at least do a table index.

  Since Oracle should have the means of access of sinchronizing to a shared structures - LMS - since they are used simultaneously by several processes.

  A good thing to make your faster SQL is to get rid of PL/SQL - it's not a good thing to use SQL [even with RESULT_CACHE | http://www.pythian.com/news/598/oracle-11g-query-result-cache-rc-latches]. Write your logic in a single pure SQL, it might be very beneficial even without special setting.
