  Product keys do not become invalid. Moreover, if your restore disks contains an image of your installation then you will not have any key at all.

  Have you tried simply by changing your screen resolution?  I agree that way it behaves is painful, as I have bad eyesight and as my resolution to screen 800 x 600.  But, when I run into that, I just change the resolution, to finish the job, then she come back.  Not the best, but it works.

  What you're watching is good old CTD/CTL (controller, target, device/LUN) name.  It is just a reference to how you got where you are going.  Each device must be unique to a controller, and each LUN can be used once on a controller.  ESX tops out at 255 LUNS (see maximum configuration for more details on this).

  So you don't match at all on hosts.  However, it is advisable for your mental health to ensure that each data store that is presented to a host in a HA cluster is presented to guests.  This prevents the migration of VM problems.

  It also makes it easier to troubleshoot (esp. communicating with a group of dedicated storage) if each of the LUNS presented Gets the same number on each host.

  How to confirm weather LUN is presented to an ESX host?

  We asked our team to SAN map a 900 GB LUN to one of the esx host, these people have done enough for their purpose (e.g. zoning part etc.) and confirm the same thing for us. We rescan the HBA, still, we are not able to see the same thing. SAN team asked us to reboot and check, but it's prodcurion esx box we will not be able to restart, so I want to confirm end VMware, is it possible to confirm weather esx is able to perceive the lun or the requested LUN is delivered correctly to an esx host, needs your help to understand this issue.
