  Looks like you get just the AOL toolbar. I got this message saying I had Firefox and I might add the AOL toolbar. Download of Firefox since the site has AOL also check these additional entries box options, "the homepage of AOL, AOL Toolbar, & AOL as the default browser search engine" if it is do the default AOL search but not the default browser to Firefox AOL. I can't say more without having to install AOL.

  I was just trying to find answers in the kb articles. The one I posted actually said to use the Safari option.

  I don't think that really change the default browser just stops Firefox is the default browser all the time. You must always follow the other article, which says:

  Close all Web browsers

  • go to control panel-> Internet Options-> programs-> tab uncheck tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default browser -> click OK

  Launch Firefox

  • Click on Firefox and click Menu Tools-> Options (or Options )-> Advanced panel-> general tab-> place checkmark on always check to see if Firefox is the default start browser -> click the check now button

  I've replaced Firefox Web browser settings in Windows 10. I start Firefox and make it my default browser. When I search websites in Firefox, it does nothing.   Have you tried other browsers, such as Google Chrome or Internet Explorer? (See How to open Internet Explorer in Windows 10). If only Microsoft Edge can access the websites, I think that it is not a matter of Firefox and you can get better help on a Windows forum.

  Here's a thread from a forum of 10 Windows on a similar problem (only sites Microsoft consulted Edge, other browsers do not have) which was resolved by resetting your network card by entering netsh winsock reset at the command with administrator privileges prompt and then restart Windows:
