Management of character on a NAS?

Differ on the NAS NTFS permissions? We are having problems with the permissions of the NAS on the NAS and can't seem to find any specific info around the permissions on the NAS.

Okay, it's really weird. We just started using a new software provider and they store the config file in \user\AppData\Local. The path to the file is long and unusual: c:\users\testuser\appdata\local\RedBlack_Software,_LLC\RebalanceExpress.exe_Url_mkifulw1umwvcexmdjvosrjqjy4h1rgb\5.6.2.0\user.config and the file will not be copied to the PM to the user repository. Where is the coming www.emc.com and java.com? It seeks to interpret this as a URL directory name? The only file in this directory is "user.config. No idea how to solve this problem?

Persona Gets the path of the application.

When Persona catches a read of file/application request, then it tries to load to the remote share using the requested path folder.

Character doesn't change or add the path except the location of start for the user (i.e. c:\Users\blabla\) profile and the remote path (i.e. \\shareserver\persona$\) and let remaining path as is.

Management of the character - a few questions

I enabled management persona on a few dedicated and covered pools and it looks promising but I have some questions left and I would be grateful if someone can answer me.
(1) I have created a share named "personas" and inside this folder, I can see folders for personas user a (testUsers.V2, john. V2,...). Is it possible to access the contents of the folders because riht now I can't and I'm admin on the server where is this part.
(2) how is it with consumption of storage when you use management persona?
With workstations dedicated if the user has 5 GB of data, you must configure your desktop with 5 GB of UserDataDisk D: and that's all.
With management of character, you have 5 GB of space on shared needs and you need to 5 GB (worst case) or maybe less on each workstation as the user migt connect?
(3) how to limit the user to 5 GB of user data when you use management persona?

1 persona management works as Auto roaming profile in what concerns the permissions of the folder. It is purely the lock down to only the owner can browse this folder. However, if you want to navigate you must take ownership of the folder to do.

2. If you use userdata disc then you just have to find 5 GB of data for the user and that's about it. Others that its data, its profile settings are also stored in this disk. If you use Persona, you need not create the UDD. Why dedicated hen any reason? The reason to go in Persona is to have the look and feel the same regarding user settings in a little matter which office they are connect. It says that that lead to the use of floating swimming pool should be the way forward.

3. If you use Persona and dump it on a file server. Another is that adding the file server role, add the management of quotas in order to limit the use of disk quota.

Use personal management as much as possible on a floating pool. Spend pool does not seem very useful, unless you implement Local Mode. Also in Local mode, you use instead of Persona since Persona UDD require network connection so this explains why the Persona can work in Local Mode.

Add a folder of photos NAS to Win8 photo library.

I have a Synology DiskStation with thousands of photos I want accessible through the Photos App.

While trying to add the network location of libraries of Win8Pro, I get the message in the folder is not indexed. I tried work around suggested through the help without success.

It's the same problem with Win7 and I was hoping MS would be a better solution in Win8Pro. The photos have been indexed via Synology.

Other solutions out there that might work? I even tried to install Media Center, but that didn't work either.

Finally, after much trying, only by mistake I managed to add my files NAS (in fact my actions, broken down by type of media) to my libraries in Windows 8.

That's how it WORKED for me:

1. open Windows Media Player (I use WMP 12)

2. Select 'Organize' > 'Manage libraries' > select a library

3. you will find a dialog box "change how this library brings together its content." By clicking on 'Add', you should be able to select and add a folder on your NAS.

It worked for me. I have a WD MyBook Live, running TwonkyMedia Server (known as library of WMP 12)... hope it works for you too...

Manager of Persona and folder redirection

I have a small question I want to use the persona Manager, but I have the folder redirection for all of our users. We HAVE simply to redirect certain folders like desktop, etc. The problem happens with view. I have a lot of doctors who insist on the use of several desktop computers (persistent and non-persistent) to do their work on a daily basis. They use persist so they have their OUTLOOK and when they wander into an exam room that they want to use their desktop NO-persist. I'm sure I can do what I want with management of Persona, but the folder redirection type of obstruction which. Is there a way for me to use both so that I can get all the docs to use only a single pool of computers on the view? Can EMU help me somehow this issue? Your comments and suggestions are welcome. It can all be done with non-persistent desktops.

It is generally recommended to configure the folder redirection for desktop, downloads, documents, etc when you use persona... This keeps the amount of data replicated by persona to a minimum. It goes the same for EMU. Management of character has its own folder redirection settings strategy, which is what I use in my deployments.

Your PC Windows 7 has, since I can see and access to other computers and devices on storage. Since Windows PC B I can not connect (via the file manager) to A PC or NAS storage network. Get such as 0 x 80070035 and 0X80004005 error codes when you try to connect to the IP address on the device name. When I ping the devices of PC B I have no trouble to achieve.

I turned off all firewalls, added the LMHOST file entries and a myriad of other tests and still cannot connect to PC B devices. I can surf the net fine and do everything else - simply cannot connect to other devices even if these other devices can connect to me.

I was in there for 22 years and has worked as an engineer on major networks and the network I stem - anyone got any idead. I checked all the basics such as Netbios, file sharing etc etc.

How to avoid overwriting the italics when you apply paragraph styles?

First of all, let me say thank you to the community of Adobe's Forum for the great help over the years! You Rock! 9 times out of 10 you nail!
OK, so I have a long document full of italics, bold and accents. Successfully, I imported the text in MS Word and kept these text features using the import options. But now, when I go to apply paragraph styles, the italics are lost. Is it possible to implement paragraph styles so that they maintain Roman, italic, bold and also special characters like accents? Thank you!

Hi David: I just put upward (and record) queries for search/replace that I of course after you import all text. For example, I have one that is italic in the document and it goes to a character called italic style. Once I saved queries, it is very fast to run on all the stories at the same time. And once the local formatting is managed through character styles, it is intact by assigning paragraph styles.

Adobe InDesign does not recognize the fonts or characters in the character Panel Manager

I have Adobe Indesign CC (9.1.0.33) installed on my Mac Book Pro 2010, OSX10.8.4, with two user accounts in my main account ID (admin) works fine, no problem at all, if I connect to my account (not admin) second ID embarks, he posts two errors
Adobe InDesign does not recognize fonts as a plug-in Manager.InDesignPlugin
Adobe InDesign does not recognize the Panel.InDesignPlugin character as a plug-in
I, repaired permissions, reinstalled ID, tried an admin disconnecting and logging in the second account, but the problem persists.

Hey Kevin,

You can uninstall InDesign and you can check non installed in the Applications folder if a file for Adobe InDesign CC still exists. If so delete this folder manually and remove the trash.

Install CC InDesign again. Do it from your administrator account.

The result is-

I don't know what the invisible character here?

It is certainly not a space character as pad does not work-

Select * from bkmap_personid_stg where trim (BAC_PERSON_ID) = '27136317'

no record!

But substr does not give me the resullt-

Select * from bkmap_personid_stg where substr (BAC_PERSON_ID, 1, 8) = '27136317'

How will I know which is the last character? and how to manage it?

manage the CLOB data delimited by tabs with the newline character

I have a table with a column of type CLOB data where my data are delimited by tabs. For the new line I Chr (10) as the separator between the lines. Someone knows how to handle this character in order to select these data in separate lines.

Check the compiler settings in the project properties (and also check: Tools-> preferences...-> environment)

Also check the encoding in the file pageDef (if you have one).

Management of the character

We are experiencing some problems with the management of Persona in our environment. We have a server configuration file on a computer virtual running windows server 2008 r2 hosting sharing > Persona. In view, we have 2 pools of about 15 related clones where management Persona is installed locally to have the path go to \\server\persona\%username%
Our problem is that all of our users wrote to sharing, but now only half are always back up. Y at - it a permission set that needs to be done on our server? the part?
Any ideas?

on my installation, I did the following

root folder (hidden)

-permission to share (= FULL control authenticated users)

-ntfs perissions (this folder only with checkboxes on ATT rail/run - list of file - reading - reading extend - and read permissions)

-ntfs permissions (the user has FULL control and owner (profile requires ownership))

also on group policy I added to the Administrators group on the profile, so that they can also see the content when the profile is created.

do not really never use permissions for everyone.

Time Machine NAS RAID

Goal: large, reliable Time Machine back-up.

(No purpose: archiving.) I do that separately on optical carriers per year, double copies, which goes off site. I understand that optical media can degenerate over time - even if some are marketed as "of archive-quality" - and therefore based on a cloud of archiving is the way to go but for now he takes too much bandwidth and I'm worried about security. I recently got a burner external blu - ray: exceptional.)

Question: can I use RAID for Time Machine if I connect by USB directly on my computer?

Issue 1: reliability external drive. This has happened twice that I bought a property, brand, large external hard drive and was prematurely fail at a difficult time. My local computer guru said "it happens" and is "unpredictable" and just buy a new one, most won't. Or, for better quality, get a NAS - network attached storage that can be attached, they have the temperature control, mine is a RAID 2 discs, so there is that the degree of redundancy - but not, I learn, protect against a corrupt Time Machine backup and that can happen, or power increases (although it is on a high-tech power bar) , or theft, etc.

Problem 2: using NAS, which I connected to a Terminal Airport Express via an Ethernet cable - if connected to the computer by WiFi - the Time Machine backup becomes a "sparsebundle" (set of files, in fact), encrypted file with password (?) drive access. However, this was work and I did a full restore of your data (no 'system') the other day with Migration Wizard when I got a new hard drive installed in my old iMac (also upgraded at the time of 10.9 to 10.11). It took over all night, but the wonder of wonders, it chugged along and finished and seems fine. (I have not checked tens of thousands of files individually!)

(My SIN explicitly supports Time Machine, and I checked that box in the configuration of the SIN, and it seemed to work.) I didn't have to leave the mounted drive. Time Machine found hourly and used invisibly in the background.)

Problem 3: I have rename my hard drives for some reason any and do not remember quite what its name was. I wonder if this is part of my problem (read more). But there is a method in Time Machine to 'Browse other discs of backup. " I was looking for a file that I kept outside my usual login "user" and so had not been returned when I used Migration Assistant for data recovery only.

However, when I do this, then nothing is there. I've learned that sometimes, with an encrypted sparsebundle, wireless backup, you will have to let Time Machine sit for a few minutes before the back-ups start to appear, but now, with my new hard drive (with a new name) and the new version of the OS, there is simply nothing; just 'today' that shows only my current hard drive status. Obviously, there was something, or Migration Assistant wouldn't have worked, but during the inspection of the backup via Time Machine, the file seems to be here (whatever_my_computer - name_was.sparsebundle), but it is empty.

If I just try to navigate in the Finder to the sparsebundle NAS Time Machine, I can find it but not to open it. Double click: nothing happens. It is not that I forgot to connection settings, this is what it do not ask me for them.

This happened to me twice and the first time was the day after archiving (luck and good planning) and I thought that it is a kind suddenly lucky, but now it happened again.

So, I tried a bit of searching and not found a clear answer to my question above. I do not see these links:

Of them, it seems that a NAS that has an explicit ability to Time Machine might work (mine did), but is not fully functional, not approved by Apple and is completely unpredictable. My limits are described above. (I work around them).

However, moving forward: I have this RAID 2 discs sitting around, seemingly more reliable than a drive external non-temperature controlled, and I wonder about the connection by USB directly on my computer. What is the downside of this? That is my question. Who will 'normally' work as a Time Machine backup external drive?

Another option is to get two large external hard drives and the value of Time Machine to switch between the two. I have not tried, but apparently it was possible for the last iterations little Mac OS X.

I have important data that requires careful management.

I use a direct attached Drobo (it is a very easy to use RAID device).

I've always had problems with Time Machine on the network, so I stopped using it in this way. I've never had problems with the TimeMachine and direct-attached storage.

With the Drobo if a disk goes bad, I buy a replacement and hot it swap for the failed drive.

How to change the (name) font, size, color or highlighting - on a basis of character or a Word?

It is in fact on the CAP Thunderbird, Lightning. It applies to all instances of the use of text in lightning calendar.

I know about the preferences and settings for Thunderbird and a few parameters that are particularly well relate to the lightning.

Y at - there no way for the change of character, Word, sentence and label styles based on need in lightning?
If there is, I really need to know.

(Ex: tool 'Text' or 'Formatting' bar in any word processor or text editor, type "Formatting" tool bar of Thunderbird itself.)

I don't think that lighting has any capacity for anything other than plain text. None of the mechanisms of transfer of calendar data that I know seem to be able to manage marks upwards in the text, so even that if lightning has supported formatting, it seems that it could be local, since it would have no way of transmission brand to other calendars.
