Manager of Firefox & profile partially load, no screen, no menu.

I've been using Firefox Beta for several years, and shortly after that which began with Aurora. Both were loaded on my computers and worked well. There are several updates after upgrade to beta version of Firefox, it would not load completely. I don't have screenshots, but see no way to tie up here. The best verbal description I can give is the outline of an area where the program tries to load with only the boxes to close/minimize the visible program in the upper right corner.

Also, I followed the instructions to load the Profile Manager, but get a similar result. This time the name of the program is displayed in the blue header section, but the box is entirely black, while the Aurora was especially so with a black stripe under the section "header."

Like Aurora, has worked for several other updates before you have the same problem that Firefox Beta, I think that the problem is not the profile that they share the same profile. After trying to update Aurora yesterday, he and Firefox Beta are unusable. The first thing I did was uninstall these two programs and tried to re - install.

Thank you
Mark

Yes the Aurora and developing Nightly check-ins usually gets every day so they get an update of each of these days. The beta channel receives usually say six to twelve Beta builds for a version with new build since last so that the version 26.0.

• Cannot load your Firefox profile. It may be missing or inaccessible.

You must locate the profiles.ini file and delete this file or use the Profile Manager to create a new profile.

See:

This problem may be caused by a problem with the profiles.ini file or with the permissions (owner) of the concerned files.

You can use one of them to retrieve an existing profile or create a new default profile for Firefox:

• Remove the profiles.ini file to make Firefox create a new profile (default)
• Use the Profile Manager to create a new profile
If you have an existing profile, then click on "Choose a folder" in the Profile Manager and navigate to the location of a profile lost to recover this profile
https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/managing+profiles

You should find the file profiles.ini in this hidden place:

• Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\
* C:\Users\ < user > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\
• Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox /.
• Linux: ~/.mozilla/firefox/

If the file profiles.ini compensation does not work then also check the location of the cache files.

• Windows: * C:\Users\ < user > < profile > \AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.
• Mac: ~/Library/Caches/Firefox/Profiles/
• Linux:~/.cache/Mozilla/Firefox/

You can also try to rename/delete the MozillaFirefox folder in the two above mentioned places (main, cache).

A likely cause is a problem with the file profiles.ini and the profile marked as the default value = 1 in this file is no longer present on the hard drive.

A likely cause is a problem with the file profiles.ini and the profile marked as the default value = 1 in this file is no longer present on the hard drive.

• When I try to open firefox, it says "cannot load your Firefox profile. It may be missing or inaccessible. » ?

The reason why I deleted my firefox profile on my MAC and uninstalled firefox is because it was not appearing in the application menu or the dock and I have found whenever I wanted to use it. I couldn't put it on the dock or anything like that.
When I downloaded again and tried to start it, there was the error message, "unable to load your Firefox profile. It may be missing or inaccessible. "And now I can't use it at all.

You must remove the file profiles.ini so because Firefox registers all the profiles you see in the Profile Manager in this file and delete the file on disk, Firefox will display this error message.

Otherwise, you will need to use the Profile Manager to create a new profile.

• Profile Firefox cannot be loaded, it can be missing or inaccessible WINDOWS 8

I have a Windows 8 OS on a PC. I've been using Firefox as my browser for several months. So, when I try to load Firefox, I get an error message, «could not load your profile Firefox.» It may be missing or inaccessible. "I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox version 21.0 twice and still get the same error message. How to file using Windows 8 profile.ini, and what I do when I'm always here?

It may be best to do a clean reinstall and remove the Firefox program folder in case that some items in the Firefox program folder and those that can be used to initialize a new profile.

Note that Windows hides certain default file extensions.

Among them include .html, .ini and .js, .txt, so you can see only a name without the file extension.

You can see the actual file type if you open the properties via the context menu

• Firefox does not load pages and said "Stopped" in the lower left corner of the screen.

Latest FF and XP Pro. 2.4 Ghz Celeron processor, 1 GB of RAM. FF will work for awhile then it will stop loading pages and say 'Stop' in the lower left corner of the screen. Sometimes I can refresh and the page loads, but 95 out of 100 times I can keep refreshing and it will say "stopped". Alternatively, the page will be partially load and then quit and say 'stop. ' I disabled IPv6 and DNS Prefetching and he always does. IE does the same. VERY frustrated. My last PC started doing this and I've finally upgraded to a newer version and it was fine for a few months, but began to do the same thing recently. Arghhh... Thank you!

This has happened

Each time Firefox opened

is with my last computer a few months ago

You, me and many others (from discussions throughout the net) have this same problem. I had a few glances at Mozilla, take a look, they couldn't find a problem or a solution.

Here's what I found works - the problem arises on me when I upgraded to Firefox 3.63. 3.63 FF of uninstall and install 3.59. You can always download until the end of June or July I think.

My problems went away with 3.59. Seems to only affect users of Windows as Mac Firefox 3.63 works very well.

Found a few discussions pointing to ZoneAlarm Firewall time-out managers and some download tools. I have ZoneAlarm, so I don't think that was the cause, just another victim.

I wish Mozilla would pull the plug on 3.63, repackage as 3.64 3.59 and go back to the drawing board until they find out what is wrong.

• Firefox wouldn't load facebook without java but my java is on I tried a refresh and now won't load profile

I went to bed. woke up pc turned on. and all of a sudden, facebook wouldn't load without java. I went and he seemed to ask before activate has been activated. I shot it is never, and then hand it to ask and did not work. then I turned it forever and forever, and it still doesn't load. Then I tried to update firefox but she never completed refresh. I had the old data of firefox on desktop folder. I tried to uninstall and reinstall since updating firefox usually open to all. said of the profiles is missing or inaccessible.

Sorry, when an update is interrupted, it can happen. Please start by creating a new profile. There is no data in it, but it will get us started.

You will start the Firefox profile manager using the Windows Run dialog box (hold down the Windows key and tap R) or the system on the charms bar search box. Paste the following and press ENTER:

firefox.exe -P

This should start a small window.

Click on the button to create a profile, assign a name like OldSettings and ignore the ability to move the profile folder. After you create the profile, select it and start Firefox in this profile.

I guess that Firefox works?

With Firefox running, you have two choices:

(1) selectively restore some key data

You can manually copy important files from your old profile (like bookmarks and saved passwords) folder to the new. The following support article lists the key files: recovery of data from an old profile.

(2) completely "roll back" the refresh

He isn't in one step to do this, it means the copy of ALL your old data from your old profile folder to the new files. Good news: all the data. Bad news: everything that has been bogged down your Firefox before is likely to be back. Yet, it could be easier overall.

Details of these measures are in another recent thread: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1145726#answer-933024

• Firefox does not load and displays the message missing or inaccessible profile.

An update of Firefox was interrupted before completion before that

• After the update 42, partial load in memory (Task Manager), but the software antivirus keeps thread bound to perform but only loads 2nd & subsequent.

Manager tasks shows Firefox loaded as a service, but a of threads waiting to complete. There is no application shown in the Task Manager (which seems reasonable that Firefox has not loaded).
There is no error message. The 'circle of rotation of microsoft"is going for a few seconds, then disappears as if the schedule.
It happens after 2nd & subsequent charges after reboot. Firefox seems to work the first time after reboot. It happened only after upgrade to 42. Clean installation makes no difference. Chrome works OK
Worked well up until the 42 update. Tried to do a clean install with the box to inform Mozilla erased.
Maybe Firefox started using a port that is blocked by the antivirus? I don't get no logging for the virus scanner showing what it to be blocked. A comprehensive analysis reveals nothing.
Operating system is Windows 10 (64-bit)

Abandoned trying to actually find what is actually happening. Changed software virus scanner.
I think (and this is just a guess) is that to integrate with windows update update 42 change the output method to the telemetry file the antivirus does not. It is perhaps that the antivirus cannot manage that file or property, but it does not record the fact, a failure of the antivirus.
There is a hint of doubt in my mind when an upgrade causes a system that works to fail in a non traceable method.

• Error message: unable to load your Firefox profile. It may be missing or inaccessible

I know that others have had this problem but none of the validated answers turned out to be viable. When I try to start Firefox, the browser does not open and I see the following message appears: "unable to load your Firefox profile. It may be missing or inaccessible. "I am running Windows 8.1.

It's what happened leading up to this problem. I was passing through normally when I received a pop up message that says a threat has been detected, and Mozilla had a security patch that I have to download. This is the expedition of phishing malware believer, I closed the browser and restart the computer without having to download anything. When I restarted the computer, everything was normal and I googled for information on what had just happened, to see if I really needed a security patch. A forum suggested that I already have a virus/malware that caused the popup, and that I should deal with the possibility that updating Firefox. Then I refreshed Firefox, which seemed harmless enough. The update took the time, so I finally closed the window to refresh. Maybe I should let the window update but it was taken way too long - after that it's my problem to start with the error message.

Since then, I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. I also deleted the profile folder in the hope that it would force the creation of a new folder. Nothing has worked. Someone has suggestions for Firefox run again?

Thank you!

Hi jbspear, please press the windows key + r and open: %APPDATA%\protector.exe

There you should find a folder named "Mozilla". try to rename it to something like "Mozilla.bak" (or delete it if you don't like your old firefox bookmarks, passwords and customizations) and then try to restart firefox...

I use Safari, because I can't get Firefox to come. I uninstalled Firefox on applications to clear out, but it only shows this message. B.

• Whenever I restart my computer, Firefox forgets that my profile is on my D drive. I get a warning "cannot load your Firefox profile. It may be missing or inaccessible.
• Firefox.exe Pei learns that Firefox created a (inactive) profile called "default".
• Create a new profile and that points to the profile on my D drive folder solves the problem until the next reboot.
• Completely remove Firefox and reinstalling has not solved my problem.

You can try to create a desktop shortcut that starts Firefox via an absolute path to the profile folder.

• Firefox profile Manager automatically saves the current settings, addons, bookmarks on a profile?

Or what I need to manually record?

The profile that you select in the Profile Manager when Firefox starts is the profile that will keep your personal data. All profiles are independent, so if you switch to another profile, then, you will have access to the data stored in another profile.
