• All the tools of Management\Administrator has disappeared - restore disabled, no run command, msconfig, etc..

  My daughter has run an .exe file on her netbook and has been infected. The antivirus (MS Essentials) got off, restore power off, msconfig and the management of all tools would appear on the screen and then disappear.   According to the recovery option, it is possible that the virus was not completely removed.  I suggest that you restore the system and use the option that formats the hard disk before starting the installation.  Once it is in place and I executed would then put a few antivirus programs on a disk or a USB stick and then run them before getting online.  Then once you get online just updated windows update and drivers of material and then scan your system.  Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

The memory could not be read. Click OK to complete the program"and was conducted to check my event viewer. I found this file on my computer and when I clicked it, I got an error message saying 'Microsoft Management Console has stopped working' and 'Windows is common for a Solution to the problem. However he never gave me a solution or even a propblem as possible. I investigated further on this site and found help advising me to open my services.msc in the start window and locate the event viewer. This is where my problem is that I can't locate event viewer in this particular window. Can someone help me?

  The fact that the Details tab of the property sheet for your net.exe is not filled with the correct information is undoubtedly a problem. This is why suggested Yann Support engineer runs the System File Checker ("SFC"), which is designed to find and replace corrupt or missing system files from backups in your store of components (windows side by side or WinSXS folder; note that the KB929833 article I just linked ("System File Checker") has yet to be re-written to reflect the fact that) Since the advent of Windows Resource Protection in Windows Vista is no longer a dllcache folder in System32 and file system backups are now located @ C:\Windows\winsxs\Backup).  Running SFC should have found the problem with net.exe & repaired, without needing to resort to a system restore, which can sometimes cause problems as indicated by the error message you posted, i.e. that net.exe "is invalid for your system.  I suggest to read the article from KB929333 on SFC and see if enforcement of that tool is not correct the problem. If not, a good starting point for troubleshooting to solve the problem is the sfcdetail.txt newspaper, which shows the results of each operation of checking files and each transaction attempted repair. instructions for how extract/transform/load this journal of his 'home' in the service area global log (log CBS.log) in a usable format appear under the heading "How to view the details of the System File Checker process" of KB929333, and the instructions on how to repair files that are not SFC are included in the article "How replace manually a file system damaged by a known file correct copy" section (the two sections are available by clicking on the circle '+' sign next to "for more information").  It is to note that it is not uncommon to have to run SFC repeatedly to deal with corruption - 3 times is the recommended minimum, and I personally saw him require more... the error dialog box that you see leads me to believe there is more harm than simply a lack of functionality net.exe and CFS can be just the thing to get things straightened.

  I'm hopeful that SFC be enough to take care of this problem for you, but if not, I would also consider

  check the integrity of the hard disk / partition with Check Disk.  If none of these solves the problem, a repair installation may be in order.  Useful information on this procedure can be found in article KB2255099, "How to perform an upgrade in Place on Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2" and the tutorial of the Forum seven "How to do a repair of trouble Windows 7 installation.  Good luck!

  Mountain lion allows the user force execution through the command open context menu (CTRL-click) and it works, just as simple as that.

  Apple introduced some (not all) Gatekeeper 10.7.3 and following features, but apparently you need a full-fledged 10.8 to also have what you need to work around a revoked certificate error.

  Since usually OS X has auto update active, if you run Lion you find with 10.7.5 and do not install FB46. If you manage to somehow hold 10.7.2 I guess you should be able to install FB46, sincerely I don't check it out. In any case, it is simpler and safer to move to 10.8.x.

  I would like to know if possible to run a windows program (i.e. DIR or WINVER) on a machine windows on the network via a computer of IOS command line is connected to the same network. Basically, I have 2 computers in a network, a MAC OS and the other is WINDOWS. MAC OS I want to run a command of windows inside the windows machine.

  For example, via the terminal in my mac I want to connect on the windows machine, and run any windows program I have in the windows machine.

  I know it's possible to do on linux via the command line WMI Windows Management Instrumentation command-line.

  You can get apps that allows a computer iOS to use a computer mac or Windows computer such as LogMeIn or GoToMyPC.

  Yu can also get the app that allows you to use your Mac to access a PC.
