  I am trying to create a database that will be used by many stores. Each store has its own server and the database and the access runtime version. I want to create a system dsn name, but allowing the administrator to modify the server and the database for that dsn and then, when you connect to the database, the database must be able to find this DSN and the 'new' name of the server and name of 'new' database and connect to point to this server and the database tables. I don't have a login form and I can get the name of the dsn, but I can't find a way to get the server name and database name for that dsn. Does anyone know a way to retrieve this from the registry.   Your best approximation is CREATE TYPE, but their is nothing of what is a 100% adjustment.

  For example, if you create a domain with a check constraint you need to implement than separately on each table.

  It seems that you don't install Oracle Database Express Edition (XE). If you post this question in the wrong forum.

  When you install EA or there is no script that starts the database at startup.

  (1) primary that is pri - (database primary)

  (2) secondary i, e, s (physical pending)

  (3) Secondary2 i.e. sec2 (physical pending)

  No.... It is not possible. When you use the DG broker, the first thing you can do in the DGMGRL utility is to deliver CONFIGURATION to CREATE. You can see on the doc of this command that you define here the PRIMARY DATABASE.

  The command to add a DATABASE to the broker, adds a new database pending. You cannot add an another primary.

  The broker configuration is explicitly for a primary and all standby databases is supported. If you have an another primary, you create a separate DG broker configuration.

  Your target is the database that you are backing up, and in the case of a duplicate database, it would be the source database.  Example below is when I connect to the target database, which is what I want to save (note that below I sign in using the catalog in which case we'll use the controlfile and no catalog).

  (2) you have a central repository for all of your databases.

  (3) you are not limited as to how long you can store your backup information.  Thie is determined by the controlfile_record_keep_time parameter when you use the controlfile and you type can be set quite high but then your controlfile can grow quite large as well.

  As long as the basic connectivity works between servers, there is not particular to do things.
  If you do not plan to run components as CHRP (*) Peopletools on the database server, you will not need to install PeopleSoft (Peopletools nor) on the database server. In any case, it's much better to avoid the DBWizard of production database, manually creating db will be much closer to your expectations.

  Yes, each schema has its own purpose and the grant for objects of Peoplesoft. SYSADM is the owner of the objects of Peoplesoft with all rights. PS is the owner of one and same table, PSDBOWNER and the PEOPLE is granted to select three of these tables (PSOPRDEFN and PSACCESSPRFL PSDBOWNER).

  When you use write-through is here (as I know) no way to get a fully transactional behavior (assuming you have more than one cache node) since each node is responsible for the persistence of its own data items (they each will use a separate connection to the database).

  If you are using as a reason ' hiding beside of "this can be done using XA transaction. As long as the two caches belong to the same cache service they count as a resource unique "last"...
