Master password, who you are and who asked him?

I wonder today about master password in my Firefox 15.0 - I allow it for a long time.
When I visit a site referenced with stored user name and password for the site questioned the master password, but there is no information on the site by name who ask for it in the dialog box. Everything works perfectly with an open site, but if I have several tabs open? I have not now who ask for it. Can I set my Firefox browser to do more to talk about?

Unfortunately, you can't master password dialog box view more Firefox configuration information. I couldn't find any extension to it. However, there is an extension that ask you your master password to start the browser, that's not embarrassing during your browsing session.

  • "sent" messages and those being edited are both blue. Easy to forget what mode you are, and sprays to remove a file sent, what should not be so easy.

The background is blue for the mails in the "sent" folder and for a letter that is being edited (with "write", or "response"). The problem: it's really, really easy to forget which mode you are, to start to edit, remove a character and zzzp! "sent" all mail went into the record and cannot be found in the trash or anywhere else, unless I'm going with Outlook (webmail) and send it carefully for it again myself, and even do it once I lost it completely.
Obvious solution: "pay attention to what you're doing." Of course, but I had this problem so often, I know that I am of course not alone.
My point of view: CHANGE background BLUE in the folder 'sent' AS WELL as 'Inbox' and all THE OTHER FOLDERS, so that we KNOW (from the colour) what mode we are (read-only or change) no matter where our brain is. I see no benefit for the blue in the "sent" folder The functions are identical to those in other folders.
Another solution: change the impact of a 'delete' when, in the body of an email in the folder "sent". Surely a more complex solution.

Found the answer to a variety of messages earlier on this forum.

The router will not accept authentication if the Firefox browser is set to 'Sites of Tell I want to be the subject of a follow-up'. Strange, but it seems to be a long-standing oopsie in the Linksys/Cisco software.

Under Firefox 18.0.1 (running under Linux Mint), there is a checkbox entitled: sites say I won't be the subject of a follow-up. Located under Edit > Preferences > privacy

I checked it and YES! My connection to the router WRT120N works now.

  • Have you had experience with a XP application "master password", please help me if so.

My PC used for me (sometimes still don't) asked if to remember a password for a website.  I'm sure you've been asked this too. Often, when I was ask--that he would ask several times - I saidYes for many of my Web sites.

After a few weeks of use like this and a few sites passed. A prompt me a NEW FEATURE of Windows XP that would allow me to encrypt or make a unique password for when I wanted to, those already informed the STORED passwords, to be applied/used /-entered automatically was now available.

So I decided I would try the functionality and create the 'master' password, if you want to call it that.

Now the password doesn't work.  When I enter it in the field it just re-guest the same window, empty, as if I had done nothing.

Sometimes pressing the button cancel will do the same.

Suffice it to say this 'new', I think that this! Now it NEVER works as it should. (it occurs rarely)

I want to disable this security feature, but can NOT find and option that will allow me to do any where within the parameters of security controls.

IF anyone has HAD EXPERIENCE WITH THIS KEY - word of PAST PROGRAM/APPLICATION,PLEASE the HAND ME of SOME ADVICE.

  • Petition to a view Linux Agent - sign and drop a line if you are interested!

In this community, you can find a few discussions where people are asking an agent to view Linux development.

This officer would make the possibility of a pool of office of linux in Manager mode available.

I understand this is not as easy as it may seem, there are a lot of distro of linux and the technical difficulties to achieve this goal.

In addition, if we ever get this agent, expect works as good as the Windows version, have redirect PCOIP and USB...

To this end, I would like to make a suggestion to VMware to develop a virtual appliance where one or two of the most used linux distro are prepared by VMware. Limited support is acceptable if you tampered with the virtual appliance and broke the addon from view. In my opinion Ubuntu LTS is a serious candidate for such a virtual device.

I ask everyone who would like to see this suggestion developed to remove a line in this thread AND sign the petition.

'' I support the request '' would be enough to make the VMware to know how many of you are out there asking for this feature.

I think it would be a great blow to VMware, especially with the evolution of cloud computing and the shift towards Web applications that would eliminate the need for a Windows operating system for many users. Of course there would still be some cases where Windows should always be used, but it would be a great solution for the pools created just to allow access to the internet, for example. I'm in. And thank you for having this discussion began.

  • I've set up a master password and for some reason its not recognize and cannot enter the e-mail and job site. I tried to delete it, but can not. Help

I tried to take out additional coverage on the internet with a master password. Unfortunately what I typed to the origin is not excluded or recognized. This causes me a major problem due to one of the sites I use for work being blocked, as well as my original e-mail. How can I solve this problem? I tried to turn it off, but it requires the correct password and it does not work. Don't know what happened or if I typed a wrong typo. Can you help me on your end?

    PAM

Firefox master password feature protects your saved passwords. However, even if you are unable to access your saved passwords, you should be able to connect to the site manually (by typing your user name and password). Is that somehow have blocked as well?

If you have forgotten your master password, you can delete and create a new. However, I think that will also erase all your saved connections and you will save them again. More information on this: reset your master password if you forget.

If the problem is not with the Firefox built-in password manager but another (add-on, the external program), then steps would be different, but they depend on what you use.

  • Forgot master password sso - sso db to remove and reinstall

I forgot my password for sso vcenter 5.1. now I can not upgrade to another version. I can completely remove sso, remove the sso database and reinstall sso from beginning?

This will allow me to create a new master password?

Yes, it will ask old master password because you point the old database. I would say one thing if you re - install SSO and point back to the old data base this scenerio is not supported. It might work but not recommended. In fact if you uninstall the SSO should thus remove the database schema. Sometimes, it does not remove due to some problems like network or something.

I was trying to say just to sso 5.1 to 5.5 upgrade, then it won't ask of master password.

  • Undocumented VCenter, SSO Master Password unknown

    Hi all

Been trawl by lu much community to get a handle on this so I thought I would ask this question to get a concise answer.

I wonder to upgrade a VCenter 5.1 U2 to V6. There is no documentation of the VCenter pre-installed and there is no trace of the master password from SSO. I have reset the password of admin@system-domain so I am able to get into the web console. As mentioned in other posts, this password is completely separate from the master password which cannot be changed without knowing what the master password is currently.

What I read the easiest method for me to upgrade seems to be to delete and reinstall SSO then reconnect VCenter for her.

Apparently most difficult method is to build a new VCenter, create local switches, as we use vDS, migrate guests for switches the on the current vcenter, migrate to the VirtualCenter new hosts and then re-create the VDS.

I watched the flings on the labs.vmware.com site and it is one that might help, but it does not work for v5.1 to 6 and the sounds that he has problems with vDS.

An option I have thought and would like to validate is the following: if I build a new with a new SSO installation VCenter which is actually documented, can I join a VCenter V5.1 for installation of SSO V6? If I could spend the vcenter 5.1 to 6, while the old and the new are part of the same domain for authentication, I could Vmotion between VCenters so so technically. Is this a valid option, or I expect the product more than what she can really do? I'm looking for the least disruptive method to get up to date

    Thank you

    Hayden

Thought that I respond to this and that everyone knows how we have progressed.

After a lot of searching on Google and trial and error, I found a blog by V E XPERTISE written by Fabian Lenz, who helped me to get this working properly. Now I can migrate my systems intact vDS to a new installation of VSphere VCenter 6 the link to the article is http://www.vxpertise.net/2013/06/migration-of-a-distributed-switch-to-a-new-vcenter-important-things-to-know/

Essentially the issue I had was that I was using the logical order of import of the SVD and not in the right order. It is a big help because he'll lead us around the issue of 'master' password SSO all forgotten and allows us to upgrade to a new installation of VCenter essentially because we were eager to make.

I hope this helps someone else out there

  • Why my master password does not meet the correct password, in that I get

After you set up a master password in security settings constantly, he asked for it, but when I get in there it does not recognize the password. I wrote it down in order to avoid this problem. I don't know that it is the only one I chose. try again again and again did not help.
Please help me. What do you think is the best way to solve this problem?

    Hello

Refresh (called "Reset" in older versions of Firefox) can solve a lot of problems in restaurant Firefox as his default factory while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose all the extensions, toolbar customizations, and certain preferences. See article Firefox Refresh - reset modules and parameters for more information.

    Refresh for Firefox:

    1. Open the troubleshooting information page using one of the following methods:

      • Click the menu button

        click Help

and select troubleshooting information. Should open a new tab containing your troubleshooting information.

      • If you are unable to access the Help menu, type Subject: support in your address bar to bring up the troubleshooting information page.
    2. At the top right of the page, you should see a button that says 'Refresh Firefox' ('reset Firefox' in older versions of Firefox). Click on it.
    3. Firefox closes. Once the update process is complete, Firefox will display a window with the imported information.
    4. Click Finish and reopen Firefox.

This corrects the problem? Please report to us!

    Thank you.

  • security breach critical firefox? does not require master password

I put with a master password in firefox. When I start the computer and firefox, it opens the browser to the way I saved him when I stopped. This includes the sites that require passwords. They all open with no password request. Then randomly at a time later asked me the master password. Shouldn't it ask the password first, before opening protected sites?

    It's a little complicated.

If you allow sites to set persistent cookies to keep you logged between sessions, Firefox never needs to use your password saved; you are already on each visit to both Firefox keeps the cookie (weeks, months or years depending on what the site specified).

Alternatively, if you limit the sites to the definition of session cookies, after you close Firefox, these cookies are normally deleted. But there is an exception for the windows and tabs you left pending.

When you restore a previous session, Firefox reverts this session cookies, including those you kept connected sites. Secure sites (HTTPS) are treated differently depending on when you restore your session:

    • When Firefox is set to start automatically with windows and tabs: secure session cookies are maintained and restored. Your registered username is unnecessary and not used.
    • When Firefox is set to start at the top with a home page, and you have the ability to restore your previous session manually: secure session cookies are ignored. You will need to identify yourself again.

So, if (1) allow you sites to set persistent cookies, or (2) have set to restore your previous session of Firefox, and you do not close the session, it would be normal that no logon is required when revisiting the secured sites.

To make sure that this does not happen, you have a few different options:

    (1) use only session cookies AND change some hidden settings to ensure that they are not saved when your session is restored; or

    (2) delete all cookies at the stop.

I can list for those steps if you are interested.
