• Is no longer, I can choose any text, images or tables that I put in a landscape master page that has a different text than the rest of the document stream.

  I tried to follow these steps to set up a master page to landscape:

  Have you added [another] master block of text to the page? If so, you may have placed one above the other. Try to select the main text block and move it slightly to see if you have another below it [who is probably your content].

• Help editing Master Slide - objects were staying is not put on film

  I'm a little more recent for Captivate in what I have edited and created projects where someone else is developing the model. I am currently developing a model in Captivate 8.01.242 and am really frustrated.

  In my model, I use placeholders for items that I have to change for different slides (for example, images or titles) and for forms using smartshapes I always want to appear. I have a lot of layers on some slides, but once I got them in the right order, I save, switch to the view of the film, and things don't overlay properly! For example, I put an image placeholder in the background, but in the film display, that's on top. Or a placeholder text is hidden in a smart form.

  I tried selecting 'Master drag objects On Top' and shift things, but aren't always in the correct order. Is interesting, if I select, deselect, and reselect this option, slide rearrange the objects each time.

  Any help that can be provided would be great! I searched the forums without success on this issue.

  I would recommend THAT DO not use Captivate CPTL file format to create the project "templates".

  Out of all the reasons that you mention in your own message, you are not always aware that Captivate currently still has a big bug with models CPTL which means if you set Variables and Actions put forward in your models and use them at all (even in version 9), then when your developers to use your model to spawn the new CPTX project files they will find the variables and advanced actions are duplicated by the exact number of times where they have been used in the model.  In practice, this creates a huge mess that cannot be repaired.

  My recommendation in the video is that you set up a CPTX you like your 'model' to work and then just set the READ ONLY file properties so that anyone who tries to use this file should save as to save their changes.  This avoids the above bug.

  Text frames can be useful, and they can also get on your way. If you do not need the ability to change things on all pages of the document by editing the main storyline, you might be better to not use main text blocks.

  That said, if you do want to use master text frames you shouldn't be releasing the main frame to the document (by Command-Shift clicking) page on the first page and then adding the placeholder text him. This is what it looks like you do, and that's why you don't get what you want. What you need to do is to make the first placeholder text and then place. Who will release the master images on existing pages or create new pages if you start with a one page document.

  To generate the placeholder text, start with a new document. What I'm doing, it of make a block of text that fills the full editing table, click inside the text cursor and change the font to something very small (like text 1pt with automatic line spacing). Then change the text block to get the number of columns (maybe 10, maybe 25, it's up to you). Now fill the frame with the placeholder text. The additional columns will allow more text, because to this font size, some paragraphs will not fill the framework if it is a single column. If you want a very large amount of text, select all, copy and paste them twice or more. Once your text has been generated, all select, copy, move to the actual document and paste it into a block of small text on the pasteboard. Now apply the paragraph style, you want to have text (which I suppose is in a readable size).

  If you click the out port of this text block and shift-right click in the master on the first page of the document (that you didn't him don't have not already unlocked), it will be auto-flux in all the master text frames on existing pages or create new pages as it goes if he needs. I think that's what you wanted to do from the start. Write might be a lot of work, but it really only takes a minute.

• States of the buttons on a master slide

  I want to put the navigation of the full course on more than one slide master.  I have read that you can only use active forms in the form of buttons on a model of slides, I could work with, but how do you declare for these buttons?  Ideally, I would like to text buttons since this is what I'll do, but that doesn't seem possible...

  Master quiz slides are very special, do not try to remove all the objects because they have all of the features. You can edit, move things and creating these masters slides question slides you will be able to hide some as rear buttons (see Preferences Quiz), claire.

  The legends of feedback (or forms, if you choose for them to CP8.0.1): change the text in Quiz preferences, default labels, not in the slides of masters.

  As for your other problem, I never had this problem at all. My workflow is first edit the object Styles in the Style of the object manager, and then edit the master slides, starting by the slide master main where appropriate. Do NOT change the blank slide (you can create a duplicate / change this one) If you ever want to insert slides of simulation software. Maybe your idea of slide masters is not exactly what it is in Captivate? Themes are objects, master slides and skin styles and you have version 8 also has the theme color palette that can be modified or customized.

  Tell what version you use is essential for a correct answer. And if you're on CP8, please also indicate if you are talking about a normal or sensitive project.

• Problem with the use of the lightbox in combination with buttons on the Master slide

• Slide stopping using widgets and master slides

  Is there a better way than what we do because we dishes lose time and we put this process in rhythm in CP 5.5 and want to know what we can better in CP7.01

  We want to have our slides to pause in the middle of each slide

  Currently

  -Our navigation buttons are on the master slide. These are widgets custom static at front and rear, because interactive objects cannot be set on master slides
  -If you add a set of objects hidden on each slide to pause

  We have complicated branching because

  -We have glossaries and help

  -branched scenarios

  We must therefore really it works releiably

  Problems

  -our widget does not appear on the branched Viewer

  -We make mistakes using the record of the previous displayed slide variable

  We were concerned with a bar of reading because it

  You can easily replace the static widgets by form buttons, they are much easier to 'style' and very flexible.

  An example: If you want to take a break to each slide, add a button of form suspension (fill transparent and no race) to the master slide. Because there is no possible synchronization for objects on a slide, this break will always happen at the end of the slide, regardless of its duration. You can't time the break! If you have a form with pause button timed for the rest of the project, stopping there will be always at the same absolute time (relative is not possible, thought, I've had seen somewhere a question about a break halfway through the duration of the slide, but can't find it in your text).

  I (almost) never use a bar reading myself. It is only useful for simple linear projects.

• Object placeholder, text, symbol helps Indesign cs6

  Hi, I need a holder object in place (with text) in indesign for work wireframing, I want to add placeholder text etc. on all pages of a menu nav (or anything else that I think will be updated later) and then when I get the actual data I can change the names of nav to their real titles and it will change in all instances of the placeholder (through object of 60 pages or more)

  In flash or illo, etc., you could do a symbol etc. and change it and it would change all instances. Is there anything close to that in Indesign (the library panel does not allow for editing of the item master is he?)

  You will get instantly big mojo luck if you answer this quickly and without * very * sarcasm...

  Well, InDesign has yet to symbols.

  But you can create the object with the text in Illustrator and save it in format I. Then place the file HAVE anywhere where you need the object placeholder. When you need to make changes, change the Illustrator object and text and it will be replaced in InDesign overall.

• XML export for translation, excluding the Master slides

  I export a number of Captivate 6 projects in XML format. The XML files will be translated and then imported into Captivate.

  When I export a project XML file contains the text of the construction in master quiz slides. It seems that these master slides can't be deleted, but I don't want to pay for them to be translated because I do not use them in any of my projects.

  Is it possible to remove the built in master quiz slides, or to exclude them when I export an XML file?

• 'Objects of master slide on top' is a lie with question slides

  I created a widget when you click it, pop a question slide information. But it appears behind the text of the question. I put the widget on a master slide, since you can't add a widget directly to a question slide. Assign the "Master drag objects On Top. Even with this setting, the text of the question always appears on the widget.

  Anyone know how to have a widget on top a question slide?

• Image of parameter alpha master slide forwards to objects on slides

  Hello

  Someone knows this strange phenomenon?

  • on a model of slides, I put an image, not as a backdrop
  • changed this image to about 35% alpha
  • I applied this model of slides to slides in the project
  • on the first slide, I have a text caption, and a drawing object (for the screenshots, an oval) in contrasting colors, both put on display for the rest of the project; nor have a transition
  • When previewing or editing, the original colors of the TC and image are more correct on the first slide
  • the second slide, the TC and image seem to have the same Alpha parameter as the image of the master slide

  It seems that the second slide, the slide image is according to the objects on the slide. And the option "Master drag objects on top" is not enabled.

  If the image is merged into the slide background, everything works as expected. But I wasn't expecting something on the master slide to be pushed on top of what anyone on the normal slides. The two screenshots show the origin slide (where the TC and oval are really present) and slide 4 where they appear to cause the setting "Display for rest of slide '. I hope that the JPEG is clear enough

  Here you add objects on slide 1 and making it to display for the rest of the project. By default when the objects are made in the rest of the project then they will order further down on the other slides in the project. So according to this logic, the text caption and the drawn object is indicated under the model picture of slides on the other slides.

  To resolve this problem, you can choose to "Activate" the 'Objects of Place on top' option in the text caption timing accordion and the drawing object.

  Please see the figure below.

  Is there a way to convert a set of tabs text to a table?

  Can I highlight the text above, select something like "Insert" and select 'Text to Table' and maybe select "Create columns by the TAB" and then this changed to a well formatted table text?

  Mark all
  in Format /table there is "create table selection.
  Select the space as separator and ignore extra spaces
