  If I place an alert Action to OME, OME provids the details of the alert Message to the script that I defined. In the alert Message, there are several types of information, such as Service number, alert and FULL domain name.

• How do Tempro works fine?

  I have Tempro version 3.3 on Windows7 64 bit with Satellite L850.
  The Tempro is only able to display alerts, but clicking on the details of the alert button results in a redirection to a URL has no any information or downloads related to the alert. Indeed, it redirects to a homepage: http://www.toshibamea.com/.

  It is really strange and I also put t know why TEMRPO doesn't work properly. Have you tried with Internet Explorer?
  Maybe you should also update TEMPRO. You can download the latest version on the Toshiba site:

  But do you need TEMRPO? I uninstalled TEMPRO because I don t need. I only update something if it of necessary. ;)

• Specifications of IOmega Home Media 1 TB NAS storage

  I have an IOMega Home Media drive that I bought a few years ago now (http://www.iomega.com/about/prreleases/2009/010509_home_media.html) and decided to start using it primarily as a server for my high-resolution audio. It is to be newly acquired Setup for my network Naim UnitiQute streamer. However, I have discovered since the performance of the NAS IOmega is pitifully bad and is actually unusable for its intended purpose. For example, it took well over 24 hours to remove 100 GB of old media (my low resolution itunes library and other things). So I can actually stream high resolution to my Naim network drive, I need to buy another drive superior performance NAS, but for this I need to know the material detailed specifications of the car so I can compare these measurements with other new potential players. for example the Nas Lacie 2Big. What I'm looking for above all, is the amount of RAM and the processor clock frequency. These are usually specified in new NAS drives, but IOmega because do not exist in their own right over and Lenovo did a pretty bad job on acknowleding the existence of older IOmega products, its very difficult for me to find this information. I need this information to help me not to buy a new NAS drive that is simply not up to par, so thanks in advance. There may be a link to the specifications of the product on Lenovo somewhere.

• Is Foglight 5.6.2 - possible to create a single user view...

  I had a glance through the documentation and am yet to find any specific details on how I can create a foglight user to meet the following criteria: -.

  one) can connect to foglight

  (b) can view dashboards specific only - aligned specific cartridges

  (c) can view the alert details for the points on the scorecards to which access is granted

  Basically, we have a few dashboard aligned to a geographic area and the BONE. I need to give access to these dashboards where the person can see only these dashboards. However once they see the dashboard level, if there is an alert shown on this dashboard, the person must be able to view the details of this alert.

  The following requires a clear understanding of how things work within Foglight.  It's development work, not something you do casually.

  It is possible to create a custom group with roles with access to specific dashboards, with customized any forest docking versions (for example, exploration for alerts), give a specific dashboards allowed the role and then allow specific users are members of a group that has just rights for which enabled the role.

  Allowing access to only certain data in the dashboard is more interesting, according to the ease with which data can be separated using queries.  For example, how are you going to determine the geographic region for data?  If you are lucky enough to be able to distinguish the geographical region, for example, filtering against a hostname with a regular expression, or something similar, then you'll have a chance.

• Hosts disconnect during VMotion

  Hi guys, faced with a difficult problem with a cluster and could use some comments: we had issues where one of the hosts (random) enters a disconnected state. If you let it rest enough long IT will return itself. Restart the vcenter services seems to accelerate the process too. Last night I went to put hosts in maintenance mode (to apply the latest patches) and all sorts of bad things that happened. Got to the point where 2 guests are cranked out. So bad a situation that one of the hosts could not return in the cluster, and we had to stop the machines and save them again on the hosts in the cluster. (Pleasure at 03:00). VMware has been a bit confused last night with what was going on so I have to re - engage the next week. Any help / ideas would be very appreciated.

  Here is the material / details.

  -Execution 5.5 Build 2302651 (ISO specific Dell)

  -3 x Dell PowerEdge R730 [boot from Flash] (firmware completely up to date)

  -1 x Dell Powervault MD3420 12 GB SAS (two controllers) (current firmware) connectivity

  -There is a Dell PowerEdge R730XD directly connected to the MD3420 running Windows 2012R2 / Veeam 8.0 Update 1 for backups

  -We are not sure if Veeam could be the cause for it. Trying to get involved them. At the moment we have completely disabled Veeam.

  -A putty session to one of the disconnected hosts who had locked up for a restart of management agent came back as if by magic when a veeam replication job has been cancelled (a replicate a computer since the backup repository so I have no idea why that would be important)

  -Currently have DRS automation and control applications disabled to mitigate risk

  -Start to move workloads to another cluster to reduce the risk

  Well, after a lot of torture, here is the solution:

  -Drivers that Dell will ship with 5.5U2 latest ESX media are not good. You must use the latest VMWARE drivers for DIS3 12 GB host bus adapters.

  -After the pilot on 2 hosts rotation, I tried vmotion and could not reproduce the problem.

  -For good measure we have updated the MD3420 to 8.20 firmware which was mainly new features

  -VMWARE update latest version

  After this experience, we will make some changes to our deployment strategy in order to eliminate a problem like this before the cluster into production if all goes well. We have made several tests of vmotion and storage vmotion before going to the first time, but us did not grow it is quite difficult. Automated DRS kicks and tried once to spend a lot of things at the same time, it is when we started to see these questions. If we had put a lot of pressure on the cluster and observed the vmkernel logs we have observed the error messages.

  Couple all of this to try to migrate to Veeam, it makes it difficult to isolate. Once Veeam was arrested and the problems continue that it makes it a lot easier to focus our efforts.

  I hope that someone else that this encounter with the LSI solution (HP, Dell, IBM) will benefit from this thread.

  I need the alarm when using cpu and ram are two < 40% for a week on a host system.

  I think a supermetric can help me, but I don' t know how.

  I think that something like this:

  If (< 40 CPU usage) AND (use of mem < 40) then supermetricvalue = 1

  can I define a KPI like this: If supermetricvalue = 1 to 840 collection and then alarm

  but I don't know if it is possible to define a supermetric like that.

  Because the conditions of hard threshold in several levels alert rules generate no additional alerts, multilevel warning function reduces the number of alerts and allows you to that you will concentrate only on important alerts.

  Alert rules several levels do not have a specific alert type in vCenter Operations Manager user interface. The user interface displays an alert at several levels in the form of alerts KPI HT, but the alert description identifies the alert for Multi level rule. Triggers and the details of the rule appear in the pane of the reason on the Details of the alert page.   Lately, we sometimes receive from operating e-mail alerts manager as the above title has changed from yellow to red, or red to yellow.

  It's strange because nothing seems to be wrong.

  It's health, reported by VC itself.
  You can check in VI-client: Home-> vCenter Service status

  I installed the trial version of esx 4.1 above it.

  inside (esx 4.1), I have 4 virtual machines

  1 AD - assessment 2008 r2

  2 VC - assessment 2008 r2

  3.ESXi5a - ESXi5

  4.ESXi5b - ESXi5

  

  now, I create a cluster with esxi5a and esxi5b and created two warehouses of data via sas files vmdk virtual.

  then I installed the Manager vsa on my server... active VC plugin

  then I connect my vc via a client vi from another pc, it opens and showing VSA Manager tab, now when I try to create a new cluster of vsa, this error came up. It is true that two nodes esx virtual is only any loophole or the string that this present box virtual esx as a physical for vsa Manager? about the VCA mode also activating do not because of the same reason, I guess...

  Here is a brief account of what happened...
  
  (1) a toad, connect as sys to modify a function in a user schema
  (2) created this function in the schema sys by mistake and he was not valid. Error PLS-00201: identifier ' LOT. LINECODE' must be declared and PL/SQL error: complete Compilation unit analysis have been encounterd in this function in the sys schema. No further action was taken here <-root cause?
  (3) go to modify the function in the appropriate user schema.
  (4) ard hour later, at 10:59, I got a < SID > core.log, no detail in the alert.log or trace file was given. Winows scheduled jobs before and after this moment were properly completed.
  (5) restarted db and server and operated as usual. (no more of 9i does support of Oracle)
  
  
  First of all, my question is, what are the chances of the invalid function in the schema SYS cause me to receive a < SID > core.log or causing the db to experience weird performance problem?

  SYS must be used for the DBA functions - not to develop and compile the user code.

  No, creating a user object (even a non valid) does not cause the Oracle instance crashing. Essential parts in the SYS schema are the data dictionary - and a user object created in SYS "would not damage" the data dictionary, except if it replaces a data dictionary object existing.

  following steps should be ok
  (1) create pfile from spfile;
  (2) remove the unnecessary params
  (3) configure log_archive_dest_1
  Note: do not remove the db_recovery_file_dest, db_recovery_file_dest_size, and parameters. they may be required at another time
  (4) stop and start your database using this new pfile
  (5) check if the archives are in one place
  (6) create spfile and bounce database to ensure that it uses spfile

  Please try all the steps test env first and go ahead in the event of success, to production
