Max Up my ThinkCentre M90p ThinkCentre - 5852-A34

My current setup is satisfactory, not me, so I want to to the top of my ThinkCentre

I discovered, that I need to four 10666 DDR3, 1333 MHz, 1, 5V 2 GB maximum RAM Dimm. Any suggestions for some DIMMS at a reasonable price?

You want CPU is going to give me the maximum power? The i5-750 is named in the list of Lenovo, but an i7 would also?

I have already put a small grafic, a 450W power supply card and change the main HD for one SSD

Very good, thanks for the help... found this:

  • ThinkCentre taken maximum supported RAM

OK I have a Lenovo Thinkcentre A55 8705-CTO and I just wanted to know if anyone knows if its supported maximum RAM is 2 GB or 4 GB because it's confusing me forever and I want to update my RAM (1 GB is too slow for Vista on my machine).

And I checked lenovo and there are 2 Web pages various information about my computer that confused me because I told 2 GB is the maximum and the other says 4 GB is the maximum:http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-65983 and http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-65975

and I would be grateful for answers that are not assumptions

Hello, if you use ECC memory and it works, 2 GB will be the maximum but if you use ddr2 sdram, then 4 GB is shown as Max (I have an A52 were 4 GB is the maximum.) BUT, the BIOS (I installed latest BIOS available version) recently only identify 3 GB > can also be used, due to the technical limitations! inpropper work, the IBM pc doctor application have found the 4 GB with complete identification and without any problems! Perhaps one day a new version of the BIOS will be able to handle this)

  • Two monitors ThinkCentre M32

    Help please!

Starting a new job and I was wondering if the Lenovo Thinkcentre M32 is capable of having two monitors. Or how to know.

And if yes what cords do I use?

    Thank you

Lenovo for the M32 page shows supported dual monitor:

    m series-LTS-m32

In addition to a VGA port, a DisplayPort (DP) there, you can go native in a monitor with a DP, or convert to another display technology using an adapter (with this system, you can use regular size DP and passive or active):

  • Is ThinkCentre M73 PSU, standard TFX PSU form factor?

I am considering getting a ThinkCentre M73 in the form of network appliance, which I hope will run for at least 10 years. It is actually replace a Dell OptiPlex G1, who has worked for 15 years non-stop. Although the Dell has worked very well so far, I've always been aware that Dell uses an exclusive pinout for the power supply in this Optiplex, so replace the power supply in case of failure is not simple. I have not learned about this problem of power supply owner until the machine was already facing up and running, or I might have made a different choice.

Now that I'm a little more enlightened, before I buy a M73, I want to know if the power supply is a standard TFX form factor or am I limited to only the Lenovo power supplies?

You should be able to use to a TFX PSU form factor. However, you need a conversion cable to convert the 20/24 connector a 14 pin connector pins. This cable can be easly purchase on EBAY or Amazon (cost 5-20 depending on provider). I know that there are 300W and perhaps 350W PS.

  • ThinkCentre A62 processor

First of all, sorry for my English.

    I have a ThinkCentre A62 7057-A92 that came from the factory with a Sempron 140 (AM3).

my bad I didn't read correctly. Is it is not listed, then it's hard to say if it is supported or not.

Also, a note of caution, since Lenovo did NOT officially support this line of CPU, you are on your own with updates.

P.S. I just asked my friend who have approximately 10 A62 in his office. He told me that the X 2 update does not work with all models of the A62, some support and others do not. So you must be careful with the upgrade.

  • ThinkStation vs ThinkCentre

I removed my reliable 9-year-old T5400 Dell Precision Workstation. As for me, I'm a semi-retired translator, and I like my computers. Can someone help me decide between ThinkCentre and Lenovo ThinkStation. I need optical drive, dedicated video card and SSD drive would be nice. I'm not working as much as I used to, speed and the size of the disk are not important. What is important, is the reliability, the value of money, WiFi, Bluetooth, Windows 7 Pro or 10 (64-bit) and compatibility with my 24 "Samsung PC monitor excellent.

Comments and advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Maria

    Welcome to the forum

The biggest differences between the two lines, is that systems of ThinkStation are certified ISV and extensively tested for compatibility and reliability in environments of DCC (digital content creation) and CAD (computer aided design). But they can certainly be used for typical use of office as well.

If you are looking for a small system, you can consider a ThinkStation P310 SFF (Compact). Otherwise, a P310 Tower should also meet your needs.

We don't have a desktop with Bluetooth not short goes to a P-series laptop. You can install a Bluetooth adapter in a workstation, however, to meet this requirement.

If all goes well, that gets you going in a direction. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. None of us here are on sale, but we can try to direct you to the right solution from the material point of view.

The weekend I upgraded my Lenovo M57p (model 6088) to Windows 7 and encountered the problem in which the drivers for the following were not installed and could not be located...

    PCI Simple Communications controller

The problem here is that the AMT/drivers available for this problem are not compatible for PCs running Windows Vista, XP or 2000 but do not go as far to cover the problem created in Windows 7...

I noticed that Lenovo have beta versions available these drivers for the Thinkpads but for some reason, none of the drivers are available for the ThinkCentres.

I don't understand what I am sure to be a major problem when others will upgrade to Windows 7...

  • Device driver tiny unknown lenovo ThinkCentre M83 LEN4002

I did a fresh install of Windows 7 on a Lenovo ThinkCentre M83 (tiny, small form factor) desktop computer and I have an unknown device, I couldn't find the drivers in Device Manager. It's ACPI\LEN4002. Googling reference views embedded ThinkPad monitor which doesn't seem to be the right thing here. I already installed the chipset driver, the Intel haswell/vga driver, AMT, MEI, the Application Interface of Lenovo (LBAI, ACPI\LEN4001) driver is not driver Intel WIDI. Even if it is listed in the matrix of driver for this model, the thinking says that it is not compatible with this system.

Someone has an idea of what device it?

    Thank you!

Found after downloading the pack from SCCM drivers for the model. LEN4002 is identified as the 'of Lenovo APS sensor application interface".

Well, of course it is! :-)

  • Update of map chart/PSU (power supply) for Lenovo Thinkcentre A70-7844C1U

    Specifications of the computer:

    Lenovo Thinkcentre A70-7844C1U

Processor Intel Pentium Dual Core E5500 (2.80 GHz)

4 GB of DDR3 RAM (upgrading to 2 GB)

Intel GMA X 4500 (integrated graphics)

    180-watt power supply

I decided my computer needed some activities if I wanted to play some games like Minecraft and Team Fortress 2.

I wanted to change my original graphics to something like a Nvidia Geforce GT 220 (minimum 300-watt power supply)

But then, I realized that my computer power supply was less than the minimum requirement for the new graphics card.

I was wondering if it was OK to always install a dedicated video card or if I needed to upgrade my diet as well.

If I need to upgrade my power supply, what do you recommend for me? (budget: $ 100 - $200)

    Thanks, Vguys!

  • ThinkCentre 23

    Hi all

I am after some info on a thinkcentre Lenovo A23.

You want to put a decent graphics into it however not sure about the interface.

It has 2 slots on an extension tip one comments on PCIe & the other PCI but the Brown PCIe slot

seems strange & not like other locations of this type that I've seen.

Could someone tell me if a card standard PCIe would hold?

    Thank you

PCIe slot can only hold a card Add2dvi, normal graphics card would not work in this location PCIe.

  • The front panel ThinkCentre M81 connector pinout

I have a ThinkCentre M81. I am currently trying to put the guts of it in another case, so that I can add some more to it. I checked all the guides I can find on Lenovo's Support site and they show only the location of the connector and how repalce the façade.

I try to connect the connections for the front panel ATX standard for my motherboard M81, which I'm having trouble with, reason for the connector of the Panel before Lenovo comes to be a big connector.

I wonder if this information is a resource that I missed somewhere, or if I have to trace the wires.

It is not your model, but maybe they are similar:

  • ThinkCentre edge 72 video card

Hi guys... I just bought a lenovo thinkcentre edge 72 and I have a question.

My sistem is i5 6 mb l3 cache and 4 GB ddr3 1600 mhz... First of all, I would like to know what latency memory have because I want to buy another 4 GB of ram.

Second... on the lenovo Web site... the sistem has a pci express 16 x 2.0 slot... I want to buy a single video, but not card the officially... like nvidia nvs or ati one or something like that. I want to buy a graphics card for games even it does not take the case (I will change the case if I need of) and by the way the PSU, it's 180 stock w I think... I need to check if I have a connector 6-pin... otherwise I'll change the PSU if I need to...

While you recommend me some video cards that can work with this type of pc or motherboard and if I need not change the case, better food that fits the case.

    Thanks in advance... good luck

About memory - buy Samsung / Hynix / Crucial - here's what lenovo uses mainly. Don't worry about latency.

No need to buy a GPU that needs 6 pins to be used with the E72. Please check if you have really 180W PSU and power 280W (assuming it's the turn). If 280W, you're OK. 180W if you'll need to replace the power supply for use with separate graphics cards. I would say GF GTX 750 Ti (check length). Make sure you can return the pieces if this does not work for you...

  • CPU Upgrade ThinkCentre M71e (3176)

    Dear members of the forum,

Could you help me with the following question:

I recently bought a lenovo thinkcentre desktop computer refurbished for home use. I would be able to upgrade the CPU with a core i3 or i5 processor Ivy Bridge socket 1155. For now, I have a very good offer for the cpu 3250, but on the list of the cpu from the motherboard shows that Sandy Bridge processors.

    It is my small question.

    Thanks in advance.

N ° the BIOS won't recognize the model supplied by the factory with specific processors.
