Maximize the window in the LMS

We have a customer who needs to resize or maximize the screen whenever they launch a course because the LMS opens a new window that is the size of the screen without the TOC or the PlayBar.

It doesn't seem to be a way in IE to force a new window to open enlarged, except by on each individual workstation by closing with Shift and closing.  And the LMS gets all his information of Captivate - he has no control.

Am I missing something?  We have over 100 courses already loaded for them, so I hope we will not have to republish everything.

Can anyone help?

Should be a "SCORM_utilities.js" file to the root of the published project.

In this file should be similar to the following lines:

COURSE_WIDTH : "641",.

COURSE_HEIGHT

: "511"

These figures are, of course, specific to a published course I opened here to copy and paste from.

Rod response prompted me to check again and he's right, those numbers do not affect the size of the window. They do not affect the size of the actual presentation within the window, but not the size of the window of the browser itself.

But there must be a way for the LMS to the original size of the presentation to 'understand' - I know I've seen the scale of window lesson containing properly on launch with the lesson properties set to use the original size of the project.

In any case, the browser from opening to the size of the previous window's default behavior (try it; you can resize a window of IE, close and then reopen and it will reopen at this same size). So I would say your LMS is not passing anything at all to this content browser window, so it just goes to the default value.

  • Whenever I try to maximize a window, it does not fill the screen

I'm running a new Dell laptop on Windows 7 and whenever I try to maximize a window (a web browser, for a folder of files, etc.), display is not going to the top of the screen and there is a 'gap' where I can see my desktop.  Changing the resolution did not help, nor has using the extension/retraction button in the upper right of the browser. Any idea on how I can do this deficiency disappear and displays her fill the entire screen?

    Hi Steve,.

I found a solution that worked for me and a few others.  See: https://forums.adobe.com/message/8280418

I hope this will help others:

    HKCU\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobt\DC\ExitSection

change bLastExitNormal from 1 to 0

  • When my Captivate project is published on my LMS, course opens a new window.  You are able to copy the URL of this window and access the course without logging into the LMS.  How can I avoid this?

When my Captivate project is published on my LMS, course opens a new window.  You are able to copy the URL of this window and access the course without logging into the LMS.  How can I avoid this?

Return to your LMS administrator and ask them why they have not put in place more firmly. The scenario you mention should not occur if the LMS is well attached.

Some LMS have the contents of the course are in a folder outside the web space so that users can access the course URL directly.  For example, Moodle t - it this way and then shot the course content in a temporary folder when the learner clicks on the link ask a module.  No matter how your LMS is supposed to do, it is currently not configured correctly.

I think that Francois Degrelle post the link to the blog post, but it seems that this is done for JRE 1.5.
    My setup of forms:
Forms [32 bit] Version 10.1.2.3.0 (Production)
    AS 10.1.2.
    JRE 1.6, update 18

  • How to reduce the LMS assigned at the beginning of the instance?

    Friends...

I was trying to see if it didn't there has in any case that I can reduce the memory allocated to CMS when the db began, without restarting the database?

    I use "memory_target = 4G" parameter in the init.ora file, there is no setting sga_max_size, sga_target or memory_max_target.

    DB: 11 GR 2

    OS: Linux

    pFile: inti.ora

    Scenario:

1 so with the current db pfile began, and the SGA has been allocated 4 G because of the setting "memory_target.

    2. the parameter displayed, SGA_MAX_SIZE = 4 G

3 see the LMS; shows 4G attributed

    4. I did 'ALTER SYSTEM SET TARGET MEMORY = 2 G;'

    5 see THE poster PARAMETER

    MEMORY_TARGET = 2G

    SGA_MAX_SIZE = 4G

    6. specify the SGA; still shows 4G and memory not reduced since SGA_MAX_SIZE as 4G MEMORY_TARGET parameter when starting instance.

    Manual of the Oracle:

    "

On non-Windows 32 - bit and 64-bit platforms, when either MEMORY_TARGET or MEMORY_MAX_TARGET is specified, the value default of SGA_MAX_SIZE is the largest value of the two parameters. What causes more space address book for the expansion of the LVO. \

    "

I don't think that there is anyway but still I wondered, is it anyway to the SGA to 2 G without restarting db?

DB uses too much memory and want to reduce that.

Thanks in advance for all entries.

Well, SGA_TARGET is the only parameter that you can change without reboot, but it is not sensible as your allocated LMS will be always the same, since it is allocated at startup.

    Reboot is your only option.

    Kind regards

  • Maximize the image button does not...

I'm new to the organization.  I made the switch from Final Cut Pro.  I like my quick keys of this request, so I mounted in the body are the same.  That being said, I went the "' ' ' key to my key fast of the marker and switched the 'F' key that maximizes the current frame I'm flying over my mouse."  I want this feature in order to blow up the program monitor, when I play back my calendar for my Director see rough or final Cup of my project...  However since I also set up my workflow with a custom setting, I undocked program monitor so that I can the size and places it how I want.  For some reason, trying to maximize the monitor with the quick key program updated the 'F', it won't work.  My calendar which is not in stand-alone mode works when the hot key is used.  So, what's the problem?  This is just a bug that Adobe needs to fix, or am I missing something here?

    Thank you!

    -Clint

Order to maximize the frame strives to maximize a frame within the active window. This means there is something that if the window is composed of multiple images. If the Source or program monitor is in its own floating window, then expand will not be a thing because the Panel is already expanded in its window.

The command to toggle fullscreen who cites Peter is the closest thing to what you are looking. Note that while maximizing the frame keeps all the controls below the video overlay, full-screen hiding all this.
