Maximum number of lines - exported to excel

Hi all

I use Oracle Business Intelligence Discoverer Desktop version 10.1.2.00.00
the maximum number of lines that I can export Excel is 65 536. I tried export in excel 2003 and 2007

P.S unchecked tools > Options > query governor > limit extract data to ' field to get all the lines

Y at - it a setting to control the number of rows exported?

Please suggest

Kind regards
SK

Hello

Y at - it a setting to control the number of rows exported?

No definition for line MAX not exported

Export results in CSV to XLS
Next to this, use the more can give you a solution since most divides the results in bulk from 65 536 records on each tab (in the exported XLS).

    The number in the Regional service console must match the value in the service.olap.dataQuery.grid.maxRows parameter. Probably you have edited the file essbase.properties evil.

    At this point, I would like to change the setting in environmental assessments to the desired limit or 0 for unlimited and then restart APS.

  • Is there a Maximum of reporting lines are refreshment or exported to excel?

    Hello

    I got this challenge where when I ran my reports of contacts and download the results, only the 1st 10 k records will be exported in Excel. I don't know if it's because of export or due to the updating of the report with a maximum number of lines.

    Is that anyway to export/refresh the data instead of just 1 10 K?

    If you export results to CSV, this will solve that issue you.

  • Group by affected by the limit of number of line

    I see some strange behaviors with the Group of features on APEX 4.0

    Version APEX 4.0.0.00.46 and 4.0.1.00.03 on the 11.1.0.7.0 database

    If I ask a Group By for an interactive report using the interactive stock reports > menu Format, group is applied after the APXWS_MAX_ROW_CNT filter has been applied, so that the Group of works only on a subset of the data. Worse still, no warning is displayed to the user once the Group has been applied, so there, that it's unclear whether the data in the report are not complete.

    For example: if I create an interactive report on SELECT * from object.

    And then using the help of the menu of interactive report, I do a group the OWNER column, obtaining the number of columns for each owner, I get back a result set with inaccurate information.

    From a record of the session, the query that the IR is running is:

    Select 'OWNER', COUNTY ("parameter") "APXWS_GBFC_01", count (*) (as apxws_row_cnt)
    de)
    Select *.
    de)
    Select *.
    (of object) r) r
    where rownum < = group of to_number(:APXWS_MAX_ROW_CNT) by the 'OWNER '.

    Then as a suspect, the limit of number of lines is applied before the group. It's not logical to me, surely the limit of the lines must be applied only on the number of rows returned to the user?

    Does anyone know of a workaround, for now what I can do is create a new report for each possible group by combination required. Anyone on the apex team: is this behavior of design, or is this a bug?

    Thank you

    James

    James,

    It is a bug. We apply the limit max line in the inner query to prevent long-running queries. Given that the result is not what the user expects, interactive report should display a warning as follows over the group by:
    Group By applied only to the first 10,000 lines. The report query returns more than 10,000 lines, please filter your data to ensure complete results.

    I filed a bug for the same problem get fixed in the next version. If you null out the maximum number of lines, view report and Group By not applying the maximum lines filter at run time. I don't know if it would be a good work around because it will impact on performance if the query returns of large data sets.

    Kind regards
    Christina

  • < cfspreadsheet > and "...". "maximum number of fonts has been exceeded" error in Excel 2007

    A client and I both live the same error message when you open a spreadsheet generated by ColdFusion version 9.0.0 (deployment of Windows). The generated workbook is relatively complex, with a summary tab and about 25 other tabs.

    Here is the exact error that opens in Excel 2003 and 2007:

    Some text formatting may have changed in this file, because the maximum number of fonts has been exceeded. It can help to close other documents and try again.

    This only happens when the amount of data stored in the document is larger (but I can't tell you exactly how big the document must do in order to start to trigger this error). I'm no formatting with fonts, which explains why this error is confusing for me. There are some columns I'm formatting in different data formats in each tab, things like this:

    <cffunction name="formatEventSheet" hint="Formats a given row in a spreadsheet and returns the spreadsheet object.">

    Here is some information from a post on experts-exchange website. It seems that this could be applicable in your case...

    This error is generated when you have maxed out the internal formatting tables.

    Here are a few notes on the reduction of the use of the entries in the table formatting...

    A common misconception is that at some point in formatting any range of contiguous cells results in smaller workbooks. It is, for the most part, is not true. The only time where excel keeps the size of the workbook is when a column of cells is formatted to a starting cell to the bottom of the worksheet. The starting cell can be on a line, but the last cell must be on the last line of the spreadsheet. Layout of several contiguous columns at the bottom of the worksheet gives the same result as formatting each column individually.

    Note that when formatting of the horizontal borders in a column, do not set the bottom as border doing so will require as much file size as if every cell in the column have been formatted separately. Set inside horizontal border only.

    A quick test shows this behavior. Create two new workbooks. In the first, select the A2:A65536 cells, set the background color and save. In the second, select the A2:A65535 cells, set the background color and save. Using Windows File Explorer, look at the size of the files of the two workbooks. Note that the first workbook is approximately 12 KB in size, while the second is more than 2 MB.

    Formatting columns of cells in this way has another advantage: the used range is unaffected. In other words, if the formatting of the cells A2:A65535 the used range is set to A2:A65525. However, if the A2:A65536 cells are formatted, the used range is affected. Note that this is not true in line or horizontal direction. In other words, a line in the format of the column at the right IV reset the range used to include column IV. Also, note that this problem has been corrected in Excel 2003 and lines behave like columns in 2003 regarding the used range.

    Another interesting aspect of formatting of columns to the bottom of the worksheet is that the completed workbook file size advantage is not compromised by reformatting the individual cells within the larger range. For example, if A2:A65536 of cells are formatted as cell A1000 is then formatted another way, the size of the workbook file continues to be small. This is true even if cell A65536 got rid of all formatting. Note that the unformatted cells consume space because they are exceptions to the first formatting and so services provided by the formatting at the end of the worksheet are eroded as more and more cells are positioned to other formats or erased formats.

    Try the CSV instead of XLS or XLSX, less memory required.

    Or increase the success memory SQL Developer, try changing this line in your sqldeveloper.conf file, like:

    AddVMOption - XX: MaxPermSize = 1024M

  • Limit the maximum number of characters per line in the TextField, help please

    Hello Livecycle designers!

    It would be great if you could help me with the following problem. I have a TextField with 5 lines (limit of the viewable area and the exact height) and I want to limit the maximum number of characters per line up to 10 (as well as the total in this field at 50, but I'm able to do with the option "time limit, max characters").

    As far as I know can be done only by the script so if you change that I wrote:

    lines of the var = xfa.event.newText.toString().split('\n');

    i = Lines.Length,
    maxChar = "10";

    If {(maxChar)
    While (I--> 0) {}
    If (rows [i] .length == maxChar) {}
    XFA. Event.change = "\n";
    }
    }
    }

    and actually who works very well when instead of '\n' in the 1st line, I put any character (e.g. ' |' and I won't pretend that ' |' is my new \n).

    So the main problem is to split the text entered by the user in lines (the '\n' is unfortunately not working). So the solution to this problem would somehow split my Textbox in lines (in table) after the user presses ENTER.

    I'd appreciate any help here, so if you have just 2 minutes of your time, please help me.

    Hello

    I have rebuild your idea... that is the result.

    var Input = xfa.event.fullText;

    var FullLength = Input.length;

    var SplitLength = 10

    var SplitParts = Math.ceil(FullLength / SplitLength)

    var JoinString = "";

    for (var i = 0; i)<= splitparts;="">

    {

    SplitString = Input.substring (0, SplitLength);

    Entry = Input.replace (SplitString, "");

    JoinString = JoinString + SplitString + "\u000a";

  • Number of lines on the query and export are different?

    Hello

    I'm kinda new to SQL Developer, but so far it has been very well. I came across a problem, but with a certain query I count the lines and get about 11 000 (which is what I expected), and then export the data to a csv file to download on another system, and somehow the number of lines is increased to 30,000? I tried several times and still get the same results, and I know that the extra lines should not be returned to request bythe they fail when uploaded to the other system.

    Does anyone have any idea why this could be? The query is a union query, but it was fine before. Looks like a bug to me, but then again that I am a newbie.

    Thank you

  • Multi-line textitem - maximum number of characters per line

    Hello specialists forms,.

    Is there anyone know how to set the maximum number of characters allowed per line for a multiline text item?

    Say: the number of characters per line will be 75. When the user reaches this limit, the text element will wrap the current Word and move the cursor to the next line.

    Any advice/solution/insult would be appreciated. Thank you

    The maximum number of characters in a line in a multiline text item is dictated by the width of the element - using the standard text element object. You can use the Rich Text Java Bean that could give you the functionality you're looking for.

    Hi Sara,.

    you have 2 options:
    1. use ibots for your report in the form of an excel. This would avoid the generation of report.
    2. use "Download to Excel" option. This option downloads all of the content and NOT those shown on the screen.

    I hope this helps.
