Hi jfk83,

I see that you have problems of analysis now since the upgrade to Windows 7.

This document explains how to scan in Windows 7. There are several ways to scan a picture or document, using the software that came with your HP printer or features built into the Windows operating system. This document provides instructions on scanning with option. - How Scan: Windows 7

Use your favorite search and research for the 3d part request, that helps you to see thumbnails of the psd, tga, dds, and directly exr image files inside Windows Explorer.

    Hello.

First of all make sure that the latest version of the software is installed by following these steps:

Make sure that the printer is turned on and connected to your Mac or on the same network.

Click on the Apple icon, then select about this Mac.
Click software update, and then click the Store from the top of the indicated window menu and click on reload the Page.

Be sure to install any update HP or Apple, then check for the difference.

Once installed the latest update, try scanning through Capture of Image or the HP Easy Scan application below:

  • Photos entered from camera on computer memory card. The photos are in the image file

Tags used for the old pictures are still stored on computer.  These tags are most relevant.  I want to put the new tags on recent photos.  How the old tags are eliminated permanently so you do not have a long list of existing tags.

There is no way easy and fast from a source reliable I could find.  It seems to do it one by one.

Here's a suggestion that I found but I don't know about the source and to suggest that you use it at your own risk:http://www.digicamhelp.com/camera-logs/random-thoughts/removing-tags-in-vista-windows-photo-gallery/.  You can back up your photos first (or at least copy the folder elsewhere so in case it does not work as expected, you don't lose the pictures).  This can only work with Photo Gallery and not with the folder images in all cases (article should provide more details).

I hope this helps.  Keep me informed.

    Good luck!

  • When you delete a folder of photos empty, all the image files have been deleted and are not in the Recycle Bin

I've highlighted that an empty images folder and you press the button Delete. Each photo file (and the content) in the library has been removed. Basket is empty

    * original title - all images disappeared in cyberspace *.

Sorry if I look like I ask the same thing again and again I REALLY don't want to hear it, but just beyond bizarre. There is no reason crap for photos to just upward and vanish.

OK how bout this. Assuming the photo library you meant the images library, like the one on the little box in the file Explorer, users, go to start, computer, drive C, and right-click on my pictures, and then select Properties. If this was not the 'official' picture library, go to the folder view these photos and go to properties it there instead.

Now on the shortcut menu, click previous versions, wait list to fill out, when it does, click one of the folders that was before the photos have disappeared and select restore.

Essentially, this will make the pictures folder how was the date that you have chosen your photos, then all must return.

    Hello

No, you cannot scan from computer to the printer. You have to put original on the glass and you can use the HP scanner on computer software to scan and save a document/photo scanned on computer.

My question: do you have installed the software and driver on your computer yet? You should do this first.

    Kind regards.

  • Windows Photo Gallery can not open desktop image files

When I double click on an image file on the desktop, nothing happens.  When I right-click and choose Preview, it does nothing. also, if I choose open with: Windows Photo Gallery, nothing.

I can add pictures in a folder, start Windows Photo Gallery and view them.

I have never changed the default Photo Viewer, it's still the Windows Photo Viewer.

    Hi m WALID,

Step 1: Try these steps and check the result.
    a. Windows Photo Gallery closed.
    b. Click Start, type %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Photo Gallery in the search box and press ENTER.
    c. right-click Pictures.pd4 or Pictures.pd5, and then select Rename.
    d. change the name of the file for example OLD_Pictures.pd4 or OLD_Pictures.pd5
    e. open image files and check the result.

Note: Photo Gallery Windows recreates the database based on the information stored in your media files and metadata. All the metadata that are not rewritten on a media file will be lost. For example, the metadata might be lost because a media file was locked or read-only.

Step 2: If the problem persists, scan system file checker (SFC) to find and difficulty of the missing or corrupt system files
    a. visit http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
    b. run the scan successfully and check the result.
    c. check to see if the problem persists.

Step 3: If the problem continues, check if you are able to view the image files by disabling all non-Microsoft programs to find if one of them is causing the issue
    a. open the article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
    b. Article, follow "step 1: perform a clean boot" the implementation of these measures will disable all programs not Microsoft currently running on the computer.
    c. check to see if the problem persists.
    d. If the problem does not persist in the boot, it means that some programs non-Microsoft is the source of the problem.
    e. to find the program that is causing the problem, try "step 2: enable half the services" to "step 6: resolve the problem.
    f. Once you find the culprit, check if there is any updates to update or fixes to the program. If you find, install them and check the difference or reinstall the latest program.
    g. Article, follow "step 7: reset the computer to start as usual.

  • Photosmart HP 6520: Locate a photo scanned on my computer

How can I find photographs scanned after I scan them into the computer?  I used to be able to set the destination file before the scan by clicking on the HP Photosmart icon on my desktop.  Now (after upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10) when I click on this icon, all I get is a message asking me if I want to allow the application to make changes to the computer.  Other options that I used to have, such as monitoring ink levels, have also disappeared.  Is it possible to recover what I used to have when I clicked this icon? I need especially to locate these scanned in images.  My HP Photosmart model number is CX017A. I reinserted the cd disk and reinstalled the options, but this does not solve the problem. Thank you.

After all the problems I've seen where people upgraded to Windows 10 and couldn't do something, in my opinion, I won't upgrade the gor a while.

Having said that you should have a file find option for your PC under Windows and your scanned files probably end in the extension: jpg

So what I would do is to search for files or folders and put in the characters jpg file and see where Windows has been finding these files if all goes well, they will be a large number of them in a directory with your other image files.

  • HP 6700 JO scan to computer, what must be the digitized file?

Scanned several pages using printer HP 6700 commands and scanned on my computer.  Unfortunately, he failed to tell me where the hell the files went?  Knew I should have stuck with scanning the computer and not the printer.

    Hello

Open 6700 HP Officejet software and select scan a Document or Photo.

Select the option to scan even used from the front panel of the unit.

Click Advanced settings, and then select the Destination tab.

The saving location on that screen is the current target, you should find files to this location.

You can select another location for future scans, so you can adjust after Scan to launch Windows Explorer once later analyses will be carried out.

  • my computer won't let me change the name of my images / files

I race 2007 on my PC with windows XP, home when I try to rename my pictures or records what happens with if you go ahead and change the name of the folder/file/photo will be, how to fix it. Thank you

    Hi horseygal,

I think that what is happening because you also delete the file from the file extension.

For example, you have an image file named "image.jpg" and you rename to 'image' ".jpg" is deleted which means that the file will lose its connection with the program, which is designed to open it.

You can hide the file extensions by:

    1. Select start > my computer
    2. click on tools > Folder Options
    3. go to the view tab and check "Hide extension for known file types".
    4. click on OK
