  Hi all

  My R630 is faced with a newly added software for Photoshop (CS5 version). Whenever it is quite slow to open and try to merge the picture for the economy.

  I was wondering if I can upgrade the RAM. With a very limited knowledge, I would like to know if I need to buy an additional (if there is a vacancy for it), or I need to get one to replace the old.

  I think increasing the memory to 4 GB, but I was wondering if it will be enough for Photoshop. Thanks a lot for any input.

  RAM upgrade is not a problem because it is easy and can be done in a few minutes.

  Satellite R630 has Intel HM55 chipset, and the maximum capacity is 8 GB. This means that you can install 4GB module in each memory location. Also an upgrade to 4 GB is not a problem, you can keep your 2 GB module and just buy a new 2 GB module. The module DDR3-10066 part number is PA3676U-1M2G.

  I have a * Toshiba Satellite A50 493 with DDR PC2700 200 - PIN SO - DIMM 333 MHz, 512 MB of RAM * currently installed on my laptop.
  I want to upgrade the RAM by adding an another 1 GB so that I can have 1.5 GB of RAM.

  the recommendations numbers for my laptop is "* Toshiba - PA3313U - 1M1G - 1 GB *" but I couldn't find part number
  "Toshiba-PA3313U-2M1G - 1 GB" available on the market (which is RAM Toshiba).

  I have 2 questions:
  (1) "* Toshiba - PA3313U - 2M1G - 1 GB *" and "* Toshiba - PA3313U - 1M1G - 1 GB *" the same thing?
  (2) will be I face problems if I install the "* Toshiba - PA3313U - 2M1G - 1 GB *" for my laptop?

  PA3313U-1M1G is a Toshiba Kingston 1 GB RAM SO DIMM PC2700 DDR333MHz
  PA3313U-2M1G is seems to be the same module that supports the same specifications.

  So it seems that you can use both

• Satellite 3000 - X 4: Question about RAM upgrade

  Hi all

  I'm looking for more information on how to upgrade the RAM for my SATELLITE S3000 - X 4 (120 MB RAM, 14 GB HD I think!). Here's a little history...

  This laptop is about 5 years old, and I'm hoping to speed up a bit. I don't want to buy a new computer because she usually serves my needs.

  I emptied my hard drive files and unwanted programs. And I ran Jv16 Power Tools to clean the registry and minimize starts the process.

  It's always a little slow and if I am considering upgrading the RAM because I think I can do this for about £50. My questions are:

  What type of upgrade RAM should I look to buy? (This laptop have 2 RAM "plug-ins" or just one?)
  What is the size of RAM upgrade is the maximum an S3000 - X 4 could face?
  Could a novice like me to adapt to the style DIY upgrade?

  He is old enough. I looked for some info, but unfortunately I n t have not found much. The device can use the 512 MB of RAM, and you can use 2 sticks of memory. I'm not 100% sure but I think you can use the module with tracking number PA3086U - 1. 25 M.

  The unit is not known to me but please check the underside. On most units, you can find coverage of memory.

  I think that 4 GB of RAM should be sufficient for all applications on a laptop at the moment. :)

  If the manual indicates that only 2 GB are possible then you can move the RAM only to 2 GB (2 x 1 GB module)

  I thing the laptop supports the Intel 915 PM chipset and it supports 2 GB of RAM.

  I have 6 GB of ram installed, 4 GB in a slot and 2 GB in another location.

  Say the user manual on the upgrade of RAM?
  In general this info is always mentioned in the user manuals

  But generally, must be knowing that RAM upgrade depends on the chipset.
  The FSB (front side bus) chipset is important for the speed of the RAM.
  If the FSB supports only 533 Mhz then your RAM modules would go max with speed 533 Mhz and RAM modules support a faster speed; That is to say to 667 Mhz.

  If you have indeed the m6-1310sa laptop, then 19 GB installed as a pair of modules of 8 GB will bring in 16 GB memory. Also what says the manual.

  Unless you like surprises (no boot), only to install an identical pair of guaranteed compatible memory from a memory well known manufacturer modules. (Kingston, Crucial, Corsair and al.) Do not mix strips memory of different capabilities, configuration or manufacturers. Remove the original strips and replace them with upgrade modules.
