Maximum size of SD card and HDD in Tecra 9100

Hello

What is the biggest size SD card and HARD drive in a Toshiba Tecra 9100?

My largest SD card has 512 MB and works very well. Can I use 2GB or 4 GB SD - Cards?
My HARD drive is 160 GB and works. We may also use the 250 GB HARD drive?

Best regards

Wolly

Hello

The Tecra 9100 is an older laptop. I think that it s 6-old.
As far as I know 6 years ago you didn t find the cards of 2 GB or 4 GB SD so it's not easy to tell if the slot will handle these large sd cards.
The user manual only says that you can use SD cards of 8 MB, 16 MB, 32 MB, 64 MB and 128 MB.
You have only one chance to see if a larger SD card would work. You must test it simply. ;)

  • Need info on CPU and HDD for Tecra 8200

Hi guys im new and just bought the laptop above. However, I want a CPU faster and the biggest hard drive (10GIG in mo after 40 GIG) if possible and my processor is Intel Pentium III 750 MHZ. Please could someone point me in the right direction from where I can get a 40 gig/road to the right sort of money: and what is the fastest / suggest CPU I can get / get.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello

The fact is that the Tecra 820 was delivered with different processors:
    PIII-M (Mobile) 750 MHz;
    PIII-M (Mobile) 850 MHz;
    PIII-M (Mobile) 900 MHz;
    PIII-M (Mobile) 1.0GHz

In this case the CPU faster that you can use is a 1 GHz PIII.
However, the CPU change isn't easy and you should change anything, if you have no experience.
Important: You will lose the warranty if you open Notepad.
In addition, I think there are also a cooling module as the new processor will produce more heat to high performance.

I also found information that this device was shipped with 10 GB; 20 GB; 30 GB hard drives. I think that you will have no problem to use a 40 GB HARD drive. The compatible, you can order from the Toshiba service partner.

According to what your BlackBerry OS is tells you what size microSD card you can buy. You can check under Options | Topic (will appear as v4.xx.xxx). Look at the table on the following link to see what size you can get - http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB05461

So, this coupled with the information of KB of RIM, would say that BB must be compatible with SDHC cards... because they are (according to the level of the OS) compatible with SD cards 4 GB in size (for vs SD SDHC cutoff point.

My hardrive suffers from weird deaf noise for a few months, but last week, it was a lot worse. Sometimes it starts up and is ok, othertimes it takes 1 hour to start and everything produces the deaf noise and is so slow, that it's unusable and other times simply clunks and not even start.

    Error messages received:

    (a) "drive Dell, monitoring system has detected that drive 0 on the primary Eide controller is out of normal, backup specifications and replace the HARD drive.

    (b) "error was detetcted on the HARD disk during the paging operation" (in the event viewer)

    (c) "driver detetcted a controller the HARD disk error" (in the event viewer)

    (d) when I run the Dell IDE Drive Diagnostics (F12), it says FAILED return Code 6

    Issues related to the:

    (1) am I correct that the drive needs replacement?

    (2) I want to just keep it very simple and buy a drive and adapt it, do not worry about BIOS or other upgrades. What I do pay attention to the size car that I buy, is there a maximum size that I can have with BIOS A01? Maybe thought to 120 GB? I just want to be able to adapt, without having to play around with BIOS upgrades so simply the easiest option, which is to buy, set up and reinstall the software. So, is there any limitation integrated with BIOS A01? The recovery CD is XP SP 1

    (3) am I correct that the PC supports up to 100 ATA if you need to make sure that I buy ATA 100 no ATA 133?

    (4) original drive is Hitachi, Seagate Barracuda would be better?

    (5) think active drive a 2 MB cache, a cache 8 MB drive would work ok without me having to pay anything and if yes is it useful on the 2 MB cache?

    Thanks for your time.

The problem is that there is no official information on the maximum size of HARD drive on laptop series different. If we can only speculate on the supported formats.

But I found it here in the forum:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=93195𖰋

The user has updated the own M70 with the 160 GB drive HARD Toshiba MK1637GSX and it works.
So maybe this info helps a bit.

Yes, you can do it. The minimum must be large enough to contain an image of the core. If the maximum is too small, you will get the unpleasant results.

  • The maximum size of HDD to HP 8510

    Hello

I just bought a 8510p on sale at auction and wanmt to upgrade to 120 GB to 750 GB HARD drive.

Can Nyone you tell me if the 8510p can deal with a disk this size?

If she cannot what is the maximum size that can be installed?

    Thank you very much

    Cameron

    Hello

Based on the following specifications, it uses the HARD (probably SATA II) SATA drive so you can use the largest (HARD drive capacity). A 750 GB at 7200 RPM will be very nice for this machine:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&TaskID=120&prodSeriesId=3355678&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=3355678&ObjectID=c01053958

You may need to update the BIOS of the machine:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?cc=us&prodNameId=3355680&prodSeriesId=3355678&swLang=13&TaskID=135&swEnvOID=1093

    Good luck.

  • Drive modes and instant maximum size

    Hi all

Just a quick question. I use vSphere ESXi 4.1 (latest updates/patches) and EMC CX4-120 FC SAN. Can you freely switch between disc modes, for example non-independent for independent/persistent and then return non-independent with affect the data residing on the modified disks. I was wondering I have a very large drive I want to exclude a snapshot, but it maybe a chance later I want I can change this disk return to dependent mode so I can include the disk in the future snapshots. Also is there a VMware rule for size max a drive can be entered shoud not be taken because it is too big?

    Thank you

    Craig

The maximum size of drive to create a snapshot depends on the size of the block of the data store. http://KB.VMware.com/kb/1012384

You can change it back between independent and normal such as when you use storage vMotion.

  • Customization of file exchange: what is the initial and maximum size recommended?

    Hi everyone and hurt.

After response of harm to my question on how to install diskettes, evil said:

"allocation of disk: is a three step process, first of all, you set the boot order in the BIOS, then you format the windows disks and assign drive letters, then again Windows you set up for the swap file." Then the allocation of media preview cache, project etc. is made in preferences, and setting up a PR project."

and I have a question about the pagefile.

First of all, let me tell you describe my new machine, there a configuration to 4 disks, no RAID, 16 GB RAM, with OCZ Vertex3 for programs and the OS, which I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on this disc, Web Premium CS5, and Acrobat 9 Pro. In the BIOS, I did drive OCZ (OS), be the priority in the boot order.

Later, after checking the system is functioning, I'll upgrade to Classic Collection CS5.5, so at this point, I named my 3 expansion packs to this title.

    WDC WD 2002FAEX-007BA0 - "Media Projects (D).
WDC WD 1002FAEX-00Y9A0 - "Swap file, media Cache (E)"
    WDC WD 1002FAEX-00Y9A0 - 'previews, Exports (F).

Then, because now they are simply names I gave on different drives, and I'm trying to change the paging file, switching happens in the disc of the operating system, in order to arrive in the disk that will be designated for media Cache (by the Prime Minister, subsequently).

Thus, in the performance of Windows Options pane, I went to the Advanced tab, and under virtual memory, I hit 'change', uncheck automatically manage file size exchange for all readers, select drive E, which is the drive that is having the pagefile to happen there.

And the question, assuming that I'm supposed to select custom, size can harm you, or / and others, please recommend the initial and maximum size?

Alternatively, I have to select "system managed size"?

    Thanks :)

    Minimum,.

Where you put the pagefile just does that much of difference, when you have 16 GB (as you do) and 24 GB still less so (as the user in the other thread).

If I had your material, I put on E: and make static at 16 GB min and max 16GB (bad suggests same size).

I don't spend more time reading or to dwell on "static pagefile" However unless you want to purely for fun.

When you have enough RAM that your applications require no more you have, Windows must either ask for a large part of this file. Ten years when the RAM chips were much smaller and the cost per GB was more expensive that now, details of page file were indeed more important than they are today.
